Hello people, Joshino here.
[2]
A lot of you might remember the Battle rank 100 RendeZook
[5]
video I put out a little while ago.
[6]
i thought id share with everyone, what I now know about the trick
[10]
This video then will outline how to pull off the maneuver itself
[13]
and some further tips to ensure that you have the best chance of hitting that pesky
[16]
enemy ESF.
[17]
Quickly going over the manoeuvre itself which is also covered quite
[21]
well by quadranTV I have some adjustments in a little bit on my way of doing it
[25]
first of you really need to have the dogfighter airframe equiped
[28]
or the default airframe otherwise your aircraft will drop in a way
[31]
which doesn't allow getting back in
[33]
Personally I have pulled it off with hover on the scythe but I had to move in
[36]
the air
[37]
and often only got in by the skin of my teeth It's It is slightly harder with the scythe because
[41]
you can fall through the central gap. Even more so, the HUD being light blue
[44]
is quite off putting as you will be pointing to the sky and may find it
[48]
hard to read. OK, so you need to map a key to roll right.
[52]
I set mine to G, also you need to remap your exit/entry key to e or
[56]
a key close enough to allow you to roll and convieniently jump out of the scythe together
[60]
at the right moment
[60]
So onto the maneuver. You get yourself up to around 30 Degrees vertically
[64]
use the HUD to line this up. Then you need to be completely level on the horizontal bar.
[69]
Where it should read 0degrees, Then you roll using the set key
[72]
in my case 'G' until the vertical bar of your cross-hair
[75]
and the horizontal HUD line meet - then you eject.
[79]
you have a second to to fire then turn back to the ESF for reentry
[83]
I advise spamming 'E' keep to back in as you may go passed it otherwise.
[86]
just a note HUD changes remove the horizontal bar in the Mustang(NC Default) and in the
[90]
Saron(VS Default)
[91]
so you'll have to turn to 90 degrees which is slightly harder
[94]
anyway, both angles can be very slightly off as in real situations you may be forced to jump
[99]
early to escape destruction
[100]
also jumping at higher or lower angles may look more dramatic
[103]
but will be more risky I don't know if it's a placebo but it seems you can hold SHIFT
[107]
and run slightly in the air
[109]
it is what I do I have the case of wandering aircraft.
[112]
First of all on the tips. I'll cover the rocket launchers themselves.
[116]
OK so you have a choice between the Default launcher for your faction and the Decimator.
[119]
As for the moment the phoenix is unusable with the ADS while jumping changes.
[122]
The downside of the Default launchers is that
[127]
they do not quite kill the enemy but take them to burning.
[129]
Meaning that those with fire suppression will survive and those without will die.
[133]
I'd say 10-20% of pilots run fire suppression, so it is always a
[136]
risk.
[137]
however you can hit them prior and then do the maneuver
[140]
but that's another added notch of difficulty.
[143]
The decimator one hits ESF but it is slower than the default launcher and has a much more
[148]
immediate drop,
[149]
meaning you'll have to them closer. Okay onto the biggest tip of all...
[153]
Positioning your enemy and subsequently aiming your shots.
[157]
So first of all, the best place to have the enemy ESF is right on your tail. Meaning that you will need
[161]
to get their attention.
[162]
I often shoot at them or around them to do so.
[165]
lso you want them slightly elevating to meet where you were before you bailed.
[169]
So that you can aim slightly above them and get a hit. Although not at all
[173]
impossible,
[173]
longer shots and ESFs which are further afield are harder to aim at.
[177]
Partly because they have more chance to dodge the incoming projectile.
[180]
And also because the projectile drop will be even harder to guess at range.
[184]
Furthermore aiming is quite difficult due to the fact that you are movinging in
[187]
the air,
[188]
as well as the enemy there is a bit of luck involved
[191]
as well as some approximate guesswork. getting any interposition
[193]
Getting the enemy into position
[195]
One of the little manoeuvres I often do, is too dip down when they are on my tail
[198]
almost going underneath them, forcing them to readjust then coming up again
[202]
into the 30 degrees angle
[203]
when I feel like they are my tail I make the jump.
[206]
More often than not
[208]
they will readjust behind you to fire.
[209]
Plus you will probably take too much damage if you simply get into position
[213]
straight away
[214]
which especially for good pilots could mean your swift demise!
[216]
Another tip is to use any
[219]
buildings as cover
[220]
or even rocks using a similar tactic of making them realign to shoot whilst
[224]
have a chance to get into position.
[226]
I find that bio labs allow for this in that you can dip under them and reamerge
[230]
on the other side
[230]
in your jump angle.
[232]
You might also want to use cover to generally stop their fire from
[234]
killing you,
[235]
even autorepairing until you have enough health for another chance.
[238]
I'd advise breaking off if you notice an air to air lock
[242]
they don't need to be behind you at all.
[246]
Furthermore, jumping out of you aircraft whilst lagging can freeze it in the air
[247]
as you hurtle forward to your doom! This has happened too many times to me.
[251]
Finally, fire suppression has saved my bacon quite a few times
[254]
and is very helpful in keeping you alive whilst rendzooking.
[258]
Anyway, I hope this has helped
[259]
and you can have some fun trying it out. until next time less
[260]
Until next time.
