Hey Credit Cousins,
[1]
Were you just approved for an auto loan at  Navy Federal but still searching for your car
[6]
and afraid your loan expires  before you can find a car ? If so,
[10]
keep watching to learn what to do if your auto  loan check has expired or is expiring soon.
[35]
But first, let me introduce myself. I'm a Designer  Soapbox and we talk about how to build credit,
[40]
get high limit credit cards, how to make money  online, and so much more. If you find this
[46]
channel of any value, please subscribe, leave  a like, and comment down “Hey Credit Cousin”,
[51]
and I’ll make sure to say hey  back to all my credit cousins.
[54]
So, let's chat about what you can do if  your auto loan check is expiring soon .
[61]
When you receive your check from navy  federal for your vehicle purchase,
[65]
it will have a void date on the check. The date  should say something like 30,60, or 90 days.
[72]
If the date expires, you can try to call  or visit a branch and ask if they can do
[78]
a covid extension on your check, or you will  need to reapply again for your auto loan
[83]
and you will need to return the voided check.
[86]
If you get a no from a rep by phone for the  covid extension, I would try to message them
[93]
on the navy federal app portal and you can also  visit the branch and they write you a new check.
[100]
Here are some tips to note when trying to purchase
[102]
a vehicle during these times  with a navy federal check:
[106]
Keep in mind I've read that some dealers  won’t take your navy federal check if it
[111]
is over 30 days old even if your expiration  date is not expired yet. If that happens,
[118]
try just getting another from the bank.
[121]
Usually the NFCU checks expire in 60 days but Navy  federal will add an extra 30 days, due to Covid.
[129]
Don’t let the dealerships backdoor you into using  their financing to make the same day purchase
[136]
due to them not taking your check  because its “30 days late”...
[140]
They will use this tactic in their favor if you  try to purchase with your credit union or bank
[146]
because there is barely commission  when you have your own financing.
[150]
Also, some dealerships will take the 30 days past  late check but as a buyer, if you have a set in
[157]
stone price with that dealership make sure to get  a buyer invoice or bill of sale with the price
[165]
then go to the bank and get an updated check. Keep in mind, you may really have a hard time
[170]
finding a new or used vehicle during  these times that is not over 5-15k
[177]
MSRP price. So you may either have to look out of  state or have some really good negotiation skills.
[179]
So you may want to find a vehicle  before you apply for a car loan or
[183]
when you are approved, try to not waste no time.
[187]
So, credit cousins, I hope this gave  you better insight on what to do if your

auto loan check is expiring  . Make sure you leave a like
