hello everyone there is Alejandro
[1]
Madison today we're gonna be talking
[3]
about what is a business model so
[11]
essentially a business model is the way
[13]
in which your business is generating
[15]
income so you are essentially realizing
[18]
or creating value and you're extracting
[21]
or taking away with you the compensation
[23]
that you're receiving from your
[25]
customers in exchange for whatever
[27]
you're putting out in market now it is
[30]
very important to separate the business
[33]
model from the business strategy the
[35]
business model is all about how you are
[38]
creating value and getting compensated
[40]
for it and the business strategy is all
[43]
about how you're planning on bringing
[45]
your business to the market and how
[48]
you're executing on it so with that
[50]
being said let's get into it so the
[54]
first part of the business model is the
[57]
product so essentially you've seen a
[60]
prole in the market you've been able to
[62]
come up with a solution and essentially
[65]
that solution that you're bringing to
[66]
market whether is in the form of a
[68]
service or if it's in the form of a
[70]
product that's essentially what the
[73]
product is all about
[74]
and obviously that product is going to
[76]
have a price you need to price it right
[78]
you're gonna have to do some price
[80]
testing some elasticity on the pricing
[83]
whatever it needs so that you're getting
[85]
the amount of money that people are
[87]
going to be paying for it right so the
[93]
next part of the business model is
[95]
really the market you need to understand
[97]
who you're targeting this I mean what's
[98]
the geographic location who is the
[100]
people that you're gonna be going after
[102]
and essentially this is a critical
[103]
component of the business model because
[106]
ultimately your market and understanding
[109]
who you're going after is going to help
[111]
you in really extracting that value as
[114]
soon as possible really having a
[115]
business model that is repeatable and
[117]
scalable which is at the end of the day
[119]
what investors especially if you want
[121]
investors for your business I really
[123]
want to go and look after know if
[125]
they're able to pull let's say a $1 in
[128]
how many dollars can they take out and
[130]
you are only able
[131]
to do that if you really understand very
[133]
well
[134]
the product that you're bringing to
[136]
market who you're servicing it to and
[138]
then how you're really you know like
[140]
getting out there and how you're getting
[141]
in front of your right customers know
[146]
now the next part of the business model
[148]
is the delivery and essentially the
[151]
delivery is how are you planning on
[154]
bringing that product to market how how
[157]
are you gonna do that it's gonna be like
[158]
BIA Organic distribution channels be our
[161]
partnerships that you're creating is
[163]
there gonna be BIA
[163]
Facebook Ads Google Ads LinkedIn ads you
[167]
really need to understand how you're
[169]
gonna be delivering your business and
[172]
put it in front of the right people and
[174]
for this first you need to understand as
[176]
we were saying before
[177]
who is your market and then really
[179]
understand whether market is so that you
[182]
can get the right people in front of
[186]
whatever you're trying to bring to
[188]
market the next part of the business
[195]
model is the expense is what is the cost
[198]
of this business model I mean what is
[200]
the cost of that product or of that
[202]
service the course that it's really a
[204]
taking in order to really put it in
[206]
front of the right people because at the
[208]
end of the day well you know what
[209]
happening is that it's costing you more
[211]
then essentially what people are willing
[215]
to pay for it and you really need to
[217]
make sure that you get your course very
[220]
tighten up so that you really understand
[222]
you know how much money at the end of
[224]
the day is gonna be your take-home so a
[228]
few examples in terms of business models
[230]
so you have for example the membership
[233]
model a membership model is essentially
[235]
where you're putting out let's say some
[237]
knowledge that you may have and you're
[239]
making people pay for that coaching or
[242]
for that service on a monthly basis a
[244]
certain fee and that could be on a
[246]
recurring basis another example could be
[249]
lets say a freemium to premium I mean
[252]
you've seen this on platforms like
[253]
linkedin or platforms like that where
[257]
you really get the idea of what the
[259]
service is you get to play with it for
[261]
free and then essentially if you want to
[263]
do additional stuff with it
[264]
you
[265]
need to pay a fee that's another way of
[268]
in terms of business model now another
[270]
way could be the franchise I mean you
[272]
developer let's say like a restaurant
[274]
you maybe develop their food and and
[276]
then essentially you are a giving that
[278]
structure those logistics to someone
[281]
else that wants to kind of like
[282]
replicate it but not run with a burden
[285]
or perhaps the logistics and
[287]
coordinating everything a good example
[289]
of this could be McDonald's Burger King
[291]
you name it and then lastly you know you
[294]
have the typical examples like retail
[297]
you have like e-commerce platforms where
[299]
you just go in and these people are
[301]
buying certain amount you know at a
[303]
large scale and then they sell it
[305]
individually and they make you know from
[307]
the margins from those sales that
[309]
they're actually making so essentially
[311]
that's what a business model is all
[313]
about so if you liked this video make
