a new topic sometimes I hear about people that buy

their flight tickets a year in advance and I'm always like why so early because

tickets go on sale for flight usually 11 month in advance but what makes me a bit

skeptical is why would you buy a flight tickets a year in advance because

what if something happened and you can't go anymore you just spend the year

really really waiting for that trip and what I actually realized is you don't

need to book a year ahead because airlines they often update fares

every hour using those complex algorithm because they just want to fill up their

planes like which makes sense but for me like booking a year in advance even

like six or eight months in advance is way too much and I found something on

Pinterest that can actually prove you that it's not the earliest your book

that you're gonna find the cheapest flight so let's have a look on the

internet as I can show you what I found which I actually found this picture

before I've booked my flight to France in December here we go so that's this

one so when to buy airline tickets so if you'd says they're the perfect time to

book your tickets is between six and eight weeks so even from five weeks you

can find something really interesting the way they also say is like price

range up to three times per day which is huge honestly that's why it's actually

better to look for your flights on private it's usually the most expensive

date two flights on Sunday and also the most expensive day to buy your tickets

holiday travel is an exception buy those tickets as soon as

possible also by all means not too early because the thing is you more likely to

miss on an opportunity to buy a cheap hood tickets most discount and sales are

offered early in the week so now we're going to do is we're going to live that

experience and see if it's true so let's see cheap flight let's say Tokyo because

I really wanted to go to Tokyo so let's see for next year let's say I want to go

in March 2000 2012 and go back on the 26 so here what I have is the best flight

would be a thousand dollars for a ten hours flight which is what we're looking

for and the cheapest would be 750 dollars before 30 hours flight that's

huge so now let's see the same and let's say six weeks and let's see the

difference six so we'll go the 6th of June until the 20th so let's see the

difference now so yeah you see the best flight it's also the cheapest 661 for 15

hours very leisurely here you can save 200 to 300 dollars by booking your

ticket six weeks in advance instead of 11 month so now let's see for a long

distance so let's say I'm from Perth and I want

to go to damn that's not too bad so yeah the best would be

for 25 hours flight which is quite good $1,500

for next year okay so now let's see eight weeks from now that's exactly the

same so if you're booking advents for a short distance between two and eight

weeks in advance compared to six months to a year in advance you literally can

save 200 or 300 dollars so there you go you don't actually need to buy your

ticket too early so if you're planning a trip to not stress out
