Who is the Strongest MCC Player? - YouTube

Channel: MCC Highlights

[0]
MC Championship.
[1]
A monthly battleground where some of the strongest Minecraft players face off against each other
[5]
to win fame and glory.
[6]
However, who is the strongest player in MCC?
[9]
Today, we at MCC Highlights are going to break down the best player in every single game,
[13]
looking at the categories of PvP, Movement and Team games to determine who is the greatest
[17]
Minecraft Champion of them all.
[19]
First, weā€™ll be talking about the PvP games, Skybattle, Survival Games and Battle Box.
[24]
However, before we get to discussing who the strongest Mincraft Championship PvPers are,
[31]
we need to talk about a game that you might be
[72]
the strongest at where you can also face off against other players from all around the
[85]
world!
[86]
Excuse me, I have to interrupt because the engineering department has a very important
[98]
message from our sponsor, Raid Shadow Legends!
[101]
The game that brings a true console-level experience to your phone.
[105]
Raid is that game youā€™ve always wanted to play while youā€™re outside touching grass!

[110]
But not ender ones.

Collect champions, over 600 of them!
[114]
Engage in PVP battles to prove youā€™re the biggest gamer!
[118]
Ursula the Mourner is my spirit champion.
[120]
Sheā€™s an epic champion, so narrowly close to being legendary and making her mother proud,
[125]
but because she canā€™t heal, sheā€™s destined to remain a dedicated mourner as she revives
[130]
those BONEHEAD allies that NEVER SEEM TO LISTEN!!!
[134]
And then thereā€™s Gorgorab, or as I call him, Gorgor.
[137]
Gorgor spreads Gor universally.
[138]
Heā€™s got that full-team revive, heal, and turn metre boost that spreads his Gorgor to
[145]
all his allies.
[146]
Sometimes, I sit and stare at him and softly chant Gor until I feel ready to take on the
[150]
struggles of life again.

[190]
Thank you RAID for sponsoring this video and now back to the PVP games of MCC
[193]
Skybattle emphasises quick plays and impressive performances, and the strongest players are
[194]
masters of these remarkable rounds.
[195]
For pure mechanical skill, you donā€™t need to look much further than Fruitberries.
[196]
He continually uses his incredible block placements, near AI brain and disgusting level of mechanical
[197]
skill to pull off what seem like impossible feats.
[198]
However, Fruit has occasionally been inconsistent in Season 2, scoring worse than normal in
[199]
MCC15 and 16.
[200]
One of the most consistent players, in contrast, has been Sapnap, who has placed in the Top
[201]
3 for every Skybattle of Season 2.
[202]
His playstyle relies on pure PvP, with MCC16 and All Stars both showcasing this.
[203]
Though he hasnā€™t had a single soundout performance, his consistency is certainly impressive.
[204]
However, our number one player for Skybattle has to be Quig.
[205]
Quig has never had a bad Skybattle, with his lowest placement in a Season 2 canon event
[206]
being 8th.
[207]
Alongside this, he has two first place finishes (in both MCC16 and 20) and the highest scoring
[208]
Skybattle Round of all time, getting 10 kills and a win in MCC20.
[209]
All of this makes him one of the scariest players in the game, and our pick for the
[210]
strongest Skybattler.
[211]
SG is probably the most chaotic game in MCC.
[212]
Every second there is something going on and since it is only one round everything is then
[213]
on the line, creating some of the most tense situations we have seen in this event's history.
[214]
Despite this randomness, we can still see some players who consistently manage to perform
[215]
incredibly well.
[216]
Punz is a good example.
[217]
Though he has never won an SG, he consistently is able to rack up kills and has shown his
[218]
incredible clutch power from MCC14.
[219]
With his great game sense he moves around the map with his team swiftly, and even when
[221]
he is alone he picks of opponents getting huge amount of kills, like seen in MCC14.
[226]
Someone also worth mentioning is Sapnap.
[228]
While he has not gotten as many flashy kills as Punz has, he has still done extremely well.
[232]
So well in fact, that he currently has the highest average in Survival Games of any player.
[237]
This is mainly due to his great game sense.
[239]
He knows when to fall back and go for survival, but when he sees a doable fight, he shreds
[243]
anyone in his path.
[244]
This playstyle is what led him to get several kills and even a win in MCC 15.
[254]
Even with these two great players, there is still one player left to mention, our pick
[258]
for the best Survival Games player: Fruitberries.
[260]
Fruit has played SG seven times, and four of them have been some of the most legendary
[264]
games in MCC history.
[266]
MCC9, 16, 17 and 19 were all incredibly strong performances, with all of them greatly helping
[273]
in securing Fruitā€™s placement in dodgebolt.
[275]
In fact, Fruitā€™s teamsā€™ performances in MCC9 and MCC19 Survival Games are the highest
[280]
and second highest scoring SG performances of all time Fruitā€™s great leadership and
[284]
chill attitude has time and time again led his team to wins/insane points, even when
[289]
the stakes were high and the competition was stiff.
[291]
All of these things make Fruitberries our pick for best SG player.
[301]
If you want to be the best Battle Box player, getting kills is vital.
[305]
The most dominant player weā€™ve seen so far has got to be Sapnap.
[308]
Heā€™s the only player with not one, but two perfect canon 9/9 games of battle box, where
[313]
his team got 36 kills and won every round.
[316]
[Clip of either MCC13 or MCC19 reaction to 9/9] He has yet to drop out of top 4 individual
[322]
in season 2, and since his debut has only left top 5 twice.
[327]
In addition to this, he has the individual point record in Battle Box.
[330]
Sapnap isnā€™t completely unrivaled though.
[332]
Whilst Krtzyy doesnā€™t have the insane streak that Sapnap has, heā€™s shown time and time
[336]
again his power, and while not technically a canon event, his dominance in All Stars
[340]
canā€™t be understated, with him tying the kill record whilst on a team not predicted
[345]
to do too well.
[346]
Although Daveā€™s mastery is incredibly underrated, we still have to crown Sapnap as the strongest
[350]
Battle Box player.
[351]
His strong streak and strategies show him as an extremely capable player who can overcome
[355]
any adversity.
[357]
Most of the time.
[361]
For the best PvP player, thereā€™s only one option.
[364]
Sapnap consistently pops-off in every single PvP game, being the best Battle Box player
[368]
and a top player in both Skybattle and Survival Games.
[371]
Our main advice is that if you ever see him in one of these games, run.
[376]
Ace Race has had a variety of players finish first, but none have done so as much as PeteZahHutt.
[381]
His not 1, not 2, but 3, 1st place finishes of the Clouds map made him the undisputed
[386]
best player for a while, and he still keeps on proving just how good he is at movement.
[390]
Although Pete hasnā€™t had the best time with Space Race, his record-setting Pythonā€™s
[394]
Crypt run as well as his amazing early streak definitely put him in contention.
[397]
However, if weā€™re talking about a jack-of-all-trades, then Illumina is the clear pick.
[403]
After MCC20, he became the first and so far only player to place first on every map.
[408]
In MCC20 he broke the record for fastest Pythonā€™s Crypt run by 15 seconds, whilst also setting
[413]
the fastest lap of all time.
[418]
On Space Race and Clouds, Illumina has also dominated, coming first on Space Race in MCC15
[423]
and first on Clouds in MCC18.
[425]
Illuminaā€™s remarkable consistency across all maps is what makes him, to us, the strongest
[430]
Ace Race player currently in the event.
[435]
Whilst for many games itā€™s difficult to decide who the strongest player is, Hole in
[438]
the Wall is rather easy.
[440]
PeteZahHutt is the only player to have ever won every single round of Hole in the Wall
[443]
during an event, pulling off the ā€œ3Peteā€ in MCC5.
[447]
However, Peteā€™s consistency has continued into Season 2, with him placing Top 3 every
[453]
time Hole in the Wall was played besides MCC18.
[456]
Though some players have challenged him, such as Fruitberries and Ranboo, with Ranboo in
[459]
particular having a lot of potential, no one is yet to out Pizza the Hutt in Hole in the
[463]
Wall.
[468]
Similar to Hole in the Wall, Parkour Tag has a single dominant player who is undeniably
[472]
the greatest.
[473]
Dream.
[474]
Dream revolutionized Parkour Tag in MCC15, creating the rotation strategy, where players
[478]
would move around the map to specific pre-decided positions that were difficult for hunters
[482]
to reach whilst staying as high as possible.
[484]
This, in addition to his excellent comms, led to his team surviving multiple rounds.
[488]
In addition to boosting other players on his team and his personal skill as a runner, Dreamā€™s
[492]
hunting is absolutely terrifying.
[495]
Multiple times, heā€™s managed to hunt the opposing team in under twenty seconds, an
[499]
incredibly impressive feat.
[500]
Dream is also one of two players, alongside Fruitberries, who has always managed to hunt
[504]
every player theyā€™ve faced in a canon event.
[506]
Though some players have managed to challenge his running or hunting skills, with Finnster
[510]
and PrestonPlayz being two players who have consistently performed well in these areas,
[514]
no one is able to match his overall dominance in Parkour Tag.
[520]
So far, the movement games have had pretty obvious winners, but thatā€™s all about to
[523]
change with TGTTOS.
[524]
When you think TGTTOS, the first name that comes to mind has got to be Fruitberries.
[529]
Heā€™s got the most 1st places out of anyone, and prior to MCC20 had a 100% win rate on
[534]
Industry.
[535]
The one strategy everyone knows is to follow Fruit.
[537]
If a map involves blocks, thereā€™s a very high chance that Fruit is going to dominate.
[541]
While he might not be as good as Fruit at speed bridging, Illuminaā€™s pretty close.
[545]
But what really makes Illumina shine is his consistency - no matter what map is being
[549]
played, chances are that heā€™s going to place well.
[551]
In fact, Illumina holds the record for lowest average placement across all six maps in an
[555]
MCC, never dropping out of the top 7 in MCC15, having placed top 10 in 2/3rds of his TGTTOS
[562]
rounds,.
[563]
Thatā€™s consistency!
[564]
The final person we think is in contention is Dream.
[566]
Heā€™s an incredibly strong individual player, holding the records for the first tunnel in
[570]
Terra Swoop Force, the Cliffs map, and he has never left top 2 in Siege.
[574]
Currently, he holds the point record for TGTTOS with his MCC18 performance, at 634 coins.
[580]
What enables Dream to get these records is that in addition to being a very capable player
[584]
individually, he also often strategizes with his team in order to get the team bonuses,
[588]
despite often getting teams that wouldnā€™t be expected to get them (such as MCC18 Fuchsia
[592]
Frankensteins, with George, Quackity, and Sam).
[595]
The juryā€™s out - each of these three players have specific strengths that make them so
[601]
scary in To Get To The Other Side, and so Fruit, Illumina, and Dream all have great
[604]
claims to being the best.
[607]
As of this videoā€™s release, we havenā€™t seen too much of Rocket Spleef Rush.
[610]
However, from the one time weā€™ve seen it played in MCC20, plus some guesses based off
[614]
of Season 1 Rocket Spleef, weā€™d say that Pete would be a strong competitor once again.
[619]
Using his trademark mechanic of elytra hopping instead of using the Rocket Launcher, Pete
[623]
managed to place second overall in MCC20 Rocket Spleef.
[626]
Though Illumina managed to place first in the same event, he hasnā€™t shown the same
[629]
consistency that Pete managed to during Season 1 Rocket Spleef.
[632]
For the best movement player, itā€™s a close race between two of the Green Gods; PeteZahHutt
[636]
and Dream.
[637]
Both of them are strong competitors in every single movement game, with Pete being more
[640]
dominant in Ace Race and Hole in the Wall, whilst Dream is just better at To Get To The
[644]
Other Side and undeniably better in Parkour Tag.
[646]
However, in the end weā€™d say Pete just edges out Dream as the strongest movement player
[650]
in the event.
[653]
Sands of Time is the most complex game in MCC, with a good team needing leadership,
[657]
good risk assessment, parkour and PvE skills, as well as amazing communication.
[663]
This is a hard game to be consistently amazing at, so itā€™s all the more impressive that
[666]
HBombā€™s team has gotten first in it over 50% of the time he has played it.
[670]
H is an incredible leader, and that deserves to be mentioned despite him not being as great
[674]
at clearing out rooms quickly as the people weā€™re about to talk about.
[677]
Our first contender for an explorer is PeteZahHutt, one of the riskiest players in Sands of Time,
[682]
willing to try everything for any amount of coins if his team is already behind.
[686]
However he also knows when theyā€™re in a good position, and is able to play safely
[689]
when needed.
[690]
His method gives him the highest coins per minute out of any player in Sands of Time,
[694]
but it also means that he often dies, in season 2 at least
[697]
Dream is another incredible explorer, being one of the best leaders in the event.
[701]
His ability to micromanage in every Sands of Time he plays in is one of his biggest
[704]
strengths, and leads to his team placing in the top 3 extremely often.
[708]
Dreamā€™s biggest issue used to be how frequently he would die, but so far in season 2 thatā€™s
[712]
only happened once.
[713]
Dream is also an amazing strategist, pioneering the vault-rush strategy.
[722]
He also has incredible mechanical skill to go along with it, his only downside is sometimes
[726]
he doesnā€™t have great risk assessment.
[728]
Our final pick for who could be the best runner is Illumina.
[730]
In season 2, his team has gotten 1st 75% of the time, coming 1st in unsplit two out of
[735]
four times, Illumina is a cracked Sands of Time player, consistently being able to tackle
[740]
the hardest rooms and parkour.
[741]
Illuminaā€™s comms might not be as good as Dreamā€™s, but his individual skill in Sands
[745]
of Time can make up for it most of the time.
[747]
This is another case where it is just too close to call, as each player has different
[750]
strengths and weaknesses.
[752]
Though often thought of as a team game, Buildmart still has many individual elements that players
[756]
bring to the table.
[757]
Though there are many great individual builders like Ranboo and Illumina, the highest impact
[761]
players are the leaders.
[763]
Grian, for example, perfected the floater strategy of Build Mart.
[766]
After MCC14, Grian assumed his role as the manager of Build Mart, directing everyone,
[771]
especially the floater, on what and how many blocks needed to be brought back, saving full
[775]
minutes of time in the process.
[780]
This showed great results, with Grian getting 1st three out of four of the times he used
[785]
it in canon MCCā€™s, as well as getting first in All Stars and second in Pride.
[789]
While Grian may be the best manager in Build Mart, thereā€™s a different role that is also
[792]
incredibly important - the floater.
[794]
We think that the best floater has got to be Wilbur Soot, heā€™s gotten top 5 every
[798]
Build Mart since he started being a floater, being able to elevate teams that appear weaker
[802]
at Build Mart.
[803]
Honorable mention goes to SB737, a very efficient floater that has gotten 1st place in every
[805]
build mart heā€™s played.
[806]
The final player whoā€™s worth mentioning is 5up.
[808]
He is credited with being the first player to focus only 2 build lots in build mart,
[812]
maximising the potential of the golden builds.
[816]
The strategy has been proven to work, and will certainly stick around for the future.
[819]
However, our number one Buildmart player has to be Grian.
[822]
Until another player can generate consistently strong Buildmart performances, the manager
[826]
of Buildmart is here to stay.
[832]
Though one of the newer MCC games, Grid Runners certainly has some players who have proven
[838]
theyā€™re stronger than others.
[839]
Though slightly difficult to judge, as Grid Runners is entirely coinsplit, three players
[843]
have shown their strength.
[844]
Firstly, Tubbo is very good at communicating puzzles which involve copying blocks, helping
[848]
his team breeze through rooms like the MCC18 Pumpkin Carving.
[853]
However, he can occasionally get flustered in some rooms, slowing him down slightly.
[857]
Tommy has also shined in Grid Runners, in MCC18 solo-ing the potion room faster than
[862]
many full teams.
[863]
However, he canā€™t quite compare to our strongest player for Grid Runners, Quig.
[867]
In the five times that Quig has played Grid Runners, his team has placed first three times,
[871]
as well as coming fourth in MCC20.
[873]
He constantly gives very clear instructions and his high mechanical skill makes him a
[877]
powerful asset to have in some of the more difficult rooms, creating a scary Grid Runners
[881]
pro.
[884]
Though each of the different team games require rather different skill sets, Wilbur is the
[887]
player who we think comes out on top.
[889]
As an incredible sandkeeper and buildmart floater, as well as a consistent Grid Runners
[893]
player, his comms should lead many a team to victory!
[895]
So, having looked at all the games, who is the best MCC player of them all?
[899]
Which S tier is the one that dominates the most?
[901]
For us, itā€™s a relatively simple answer.
[903]
It is the player who always leads their team to victory, the one who shreds all the competition
[907]
without a flinch, the one who truly embodies what it means to be a true minecraft gamer,
[912]
it is, of course, ConnorEatsPants.
[914]
Have a good day everyone.
