Maria: Welcome back, everyone. This is Maria and聽
this is a review of two different airport lounges.聽聽

One is in San Diego called the Airspace聽
Lounge and the second one is in Las Vegas,聽聽
[13]
Nevada, at the Club. Let's get into it.
Okay, y'all, so we are at the Airspace Lounge,聽聽
[19]
over in the San Diego Airport in terminal two.聽
This is actually my first time in a lounge.聽聽
[25]
What's great is there's a lot of snacks that are聽
available to everybody, that you can go ahead and聽聽
[30]
grab, as well as a menu where American Express聽
Platinum holders have $10 off. So, a $10 coupon,聽聽
[39]
but the free snacks, the things that I got were聽
a cinnamon bun, as well as a banana nut muffin.聽聽
[47]
There were other things like chicken noodle聽
soup, if I wanted something more hearty,聽聽
[50]
but I don't think I really want that at 6:00 a.m.
With the $10 voucher, what I got is the green聽聽
[56]
machine smoothie. So, this was $6 and for聽
the remaining $4, they gave me a water.聽聽

What I did is I actually watched over from TSA,聽聽
[70]
over to the Airspace Lounge, and it's in a hallway聽
area between on the way to terminals three to 50,聽聽
[79]
and then you can come in. If you're a Platinum聽
card holder, you can actually have access for聽聽
[83]
free. All you've got to do is show your Platinum聽
card as well as a boarding pass for a same-day聽聽
[90]
boarding. So, you are going on a flight today.
Right when I checked in and right when I hit聽聽
[94]
the front desk, they asked me and they offered聽
me a complimentary coffee. So, this is awesome聽聽

if you are in a tight jam, if you're rushing and聽
you just want to get to the airport real quick,聽聽
[105]
grab a coffee and then board your flight,聽
this is the perfect way to do it. Plus,聽聽

Camille: Yes.
Maria: At Las Vegas and聽聽

Camille's going to give us a little rundown聽
of the food that we got for a little snack.聽
[137]
Camille: What up, you guys? Welcome.聽
Today we are having chicken noodle soup,聽聽
[143]
then there's also tomato bisque. Then we also聽
have a charcuterie board. We have a fruit cup,聽聽
[149]
and cookies, and hummus. Oh, the best part聽
is we didn't have to pay anything because聽聽
[156]
Maria got the hookup. She has her Amex聽
card, she gets to bring in a guest, AKA me.聽聽
[162]
So, I'm riding along and yeah.
Maria: At the Club, they are individually聽聽
[167]
wrapping their plates of food. So, there's not an聽
open buffet like we're used to. What you have to聽聽
[173]
do is there is one attendant, that you let them聽
know what exactly on the menu that you want, and聽聽
[178]
they'll pass it over to you. Other measures that聽
they're taking here is that there is gaps between聽聽
[183]
tables. There's a pretty big gap between the next聽
table and they tape off seats that we are not聽聽
[190]
supposed to be sitting in for social distancing.
Maria: What's cool about this one, though,聽聽
[194]
is that the restrooms are actually pretty聽
cool. They are significantly more spacious聽聽
[198]
than in the regular terminal and there are lounge聽
chairs right next to the windows. So, you have a聽聽
[206]
great view and it's a little bit more in a聽
private room. This one is smaller than the聽聽
[211]
one over in San Diego and it feels a little聽
bit more claustrophobic, so I actually prefer聽聽
[216]
the one over in San Diego compared to this.
Maria: Another thing that's accessible with Amex聽聽
[221]
Platinum is the Centurion Lounge here and that's聽
the world-renowned lounges of American Express,聽聽
[228]
but right now it's under construction because they聽
are expanding it. They're making it better and it聽聽
[233]
will be open indefinitely. The date is indefinite.聽
Once that opens, that's the next one that I'm聽聽
[238]
going to review over at the Las Vegas Airport.
Maria: So, those are the two ones that you聽聽
[243]
have access to if you have the Amex Platinum聽
card, as well as if you are on a Delta flight,聽聽
[251]
if you arrive or depart from a Delta flight,聽
you also have access to the Delta lounges,聽聽
[256]
but majority of those Delta lounges are closed.
Maria: This isn't Camille's first lounge聽聽
[261]
experience. So, how would you like to compare it聽
to when you went to a lounge over in Shanghai?聽
[267]
Camille: So, we went into a lounge聽
in Shanghai and that one was very,聽聽
[272]
very small, pretty outdated. So, this one聽
I love the feel to it. It's more modern聽聽
[277]
and it's a lot more bright. Maybe聽
it's because I was there at night.聽

Maria: Night time.
Camille: But still, it was very small,聽聽
[286]
there was only a couple lounge chairs there. The聽
one thing that I loved about that one versus this聽聽
[292]
one was the food. The food was amazing. I mean,聽
I lived in Shanghai and it just brought me home.聽聽

Fried rice, noodles, chicken, it was literally聽
like you could get full there. It wasn't聽聽
[306]
kind of just a bunch of snacks.
Maria: Finger-food?聽

Camille: Yeah. Shout out to Maria for bringing聽

Maria: Overall, the win has to go to the聽聽

Airspace Lounge in the San Diego Airport. That one聽
was just so beautiful. It was really spaced out,聽聽
[324]
it looked a lot bigger. Maybe it's about the exact聽
same size, but I feel like the snacks were a lot聽聽
[331]
nicer. It is a menu and they'll bring it to your聽
table. There were servers that were going around,聽聽
[336]
not really, I don't want to call them servers, but聽
there were employees that were going around asking聽聽
[340]
if we wanted coffee, if we wanted order.
Camille: Oh, that's nice.聽
[342]
Maria: The menu, you can get聽
it on your phone. Overall,聽聽
[347]
it just looked like a more livelier place.
