Namaskar, my name is Mukul and you are welcome to the Asset Yogi
[9]
Friends, if you want to send money to someone
[12]
Then it became very easy on today's date.
[14]
We have many online mediums. There's NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, or UPI
[21]
You can send money to anyone online through them
[24]
There are many apps in today's date
[26]
There's Google Pay, Paytm, Bhim App. You can also send money to someone through these.
[30]
But this is generally a one-time payment.
[33]
If you want to send the amount to someone regularly
[37]
For example, if you want to pay your EMI
[39]
Or if you invest some money in mutual funds every month.
[43]
We call it a Systematic Investment Plan. Your SIP payment is also regular
[47]
Or if you want to pay an insurance premium then it is also a regular payment
[51]
Children's school fees, there are many bills payments
[55]
Electricity, water, phone bills
[57]
If you have some fixed amount
[59]
That should be gone every month
[61]
So for these payments, what methods do we have?
[64]
There's a good old method that we have
[66]
We can give post-dated cheques to someone.
[68]
But we are living in the digital age in today's world
[72]
Then we have three main methods through which we can make payments online
[76]
And it takes quite a little time.
[79]
So in this video, we will discuss these three methods
[81]
And which method is right for you, we will talk about this
[85]
So keep watching this video.
[86]
Music
[93]
So if you want to make regular online payments to someone
[96]
If you have some fixed amount
[99]
So there is a very easy method for this
[100]
There's an option in your bank
[102]
If you use online banking.
[104]
So there's an option. Let's say you want to pay 10000 Rs rent every month
[109]
Then you will get an option of recurring payment there.
[112]
Or repeat this payment monthly.
[114]
You can select that
[116]
And you can add that payment every month
[118]
We call it E-Mandate.
[120]
So you pay your children's fee which is a fixed amount generally
[126]
You only need the account number of the school
[128]
Similarly, you can also do your bill payments
[131]
So there is one more option for the bill payments
[134]
You can add any biller as a biller to your online account.
[139]
Like Airtel, BSES,
[142]
If you want to make an electricity payment
[144]
Then you can add the account of BSES
[146]
In this way, many different electricity companies are there all over India
[150]
You can add them. You can add broadband companies.
[154]
You can also pay your utility bills online. This is called e-mandate
[160]
So, doing this online is very easy. It can be done immediately.
[163]
Now it comes to such payments where
[166]
You don't know the account number
[168]
For example, if you want to make an EMI payment.
[171]
You want to give money to mutual funds company, you invest in SIP
[175]
You want to pay the insurance premium
[177]
So generally two methods are used in this case
[181]
The first is an Electronic Clearing Service, which is also called ECS in the short form
[186]
And the second is the updated version of it
[189]
Which is called NACH, National Automated Clearing House
[193]
Now, ECS is an old system that is in use today
[197]
Now I will tell you some drawbacks of ECS
[200]
Its benefits are you had to give post-dated cheques earlier
[203]
Physical process was involved. So by ECS, the time was cut short and decreased
[209]
But in ECS also when you give mandate in your bank account
[214]
So it takes 30 days to approve the whole process
[218]
And when the presentation and settlement is done
[220]
When they present in your bank account
[223]
For example, whatever bank you have taken a loan from
[225]
It will present in your bank account
[228]
And it takes 3 to 4 days in process till settlement
[232]
Now this ECS system is local,
[235]
It is also regional and national also
[238]
So the national ECS may take some more time.
[241]
The Reserve Bank of India controls it
[244]
But the biggest drawback in this is it takes more time.
[249]
And assume if you want to change the bank account.
[251]
If you want to withdraw money from another account
[254]
So in that also, the whole process is done again
[256]
And it takes 30 to 40 days.
[258]
So it is now updated. Now this NACH system has come
[262]
Many banks have already adopted it.
[265]
So if you want to shift and if you already got an ECS from your account.
[270]
And some amount is debited from your account.
[271]
You can transfer your account under the NACH system.
[275]
So what is the benefit of the NACH system?
[276]
The first thing is that its process is very easy. It gets done in 10 days.
[280]
If I talk about physical. And on today's date, the e-mandate has come.
[284]
We call it E-NACH. And it gets done within 48 hours
[287]
The complete process is digital in this. It can be linked through Pan or Aadhar.
[293]
And your NACH mandate starts within 48 hours
[296]
This is a national system that is controlled by the National Payment Corporation of India.
[302]
And another big benefit of NACH is
[304]
The whole cycle gets done on the same day.
[306]
The settlement and presentation are done on the same day.
[309]
The mandate goes from the sponsored bank to NPCI
[312]
And it goes from NPCI to the destination bank.
[314]
And the settlement from the destination bank to the sponsored bank
[318]
The complete cycle gets completed on the same day.
[320]
So NACH system in today's date is very good
[323]
Assume you take a new loan or you start a new SIP
[326]
Then I would recommend that you go straight to the NACH system.
[329]
ECS will take very much time. And if there's already an ECS mandate on any EMI
[335]
SIP or insurance premium.
[337]
Then you can also transfer that to any NACH mandate.
[339]
