Hey guys, ChrisFix here and today we are going
to check to see how well seafoam works in
[4]
a small engine like this lawnmower, before
I test this out in my car engine, I want to
[8]
see if it works in a lawnmower engine.
[10]
It's easier to test, it's faster, and we can
get a good idea of what to expect when we
[14]
do this test in a car engine.
[15]
In this test we will see if seafoam actually
does what it says.
[18]
we will do this by looking into the engine
before the seafoam, and then seeing how much
[22]
carbon buildup is in there.
[23]
And then we will run seafoam though the engine,
go back in, and see if the engine cleaner
[27]
actually remove the carbon deposits.
[29]
So lets get some before footage and see what
it looks like before we add the fuel cleaner.
[33]
So this is a four stroke honda engine, for
a push mower.
[37]
Ok, this is a single piston engine.
[39]
I have the piston pushed all the way back
so we can get a good look at this.
[43]
You can see the little groves for the two
valves, one is an intake valve, one is an
[48]
This is a carbureted engine.
[49]
You can see right near the intake and exhaust
valve the engine is pretty clean but right
[53]
above that, it is all dirty, there is some
carbon buildup.
[55]
Lets see if the seafoam can clean up this
carbon buildup.
[148]
want to get the engine
nice and warm.
[329]
it
run for a few minutes.
