Abell sockets Sammy lays down this
[8]
week's thoughtful Thursday video I
[10]
wanted to answer a question I get a lot
[12]
which is Samuel what books would you
[15]
recommend what books have served you as
[17]
a property investor and as a business
[18]
not the best so today I picked my top 12
[23]
books so of course you might call me
[26]
biased but these are two of them these
[30]
are these are both my books I've written
[31]
three books but as a property investor I
[33]
mean I think you would be an idiot not
[35]
to read these because not only are they
[37]
the best they're also really short and
[39]
really easy to read so do you like these
[41]
books that's the one that got me this is
[43]
the one that got you yeah so this book
[45]
made you what how many hundreds of
[46]
thousands two hundred thousand so there
[51]
we go costs 10 pounds 99 from Amazon got
[54]
him over 200 grand next this is called
[59]
don't sweat the small stuff again a
[61]
fantastic book really I think so many
[65]
people let the little things distract
[68]
them from the big thing so um what what
[70]
I do actually is every year I write down
[74]
my top four or five goals yeah most
[77]
people have it to do list every day
[78]
without you know hundreds of things on
[80]
it to do I wanna do that I'm stuff able
[82]
to do lists I've like four or five
[84]
things things yeah and that's all I
[86]
focus on and every time I do something
[88]
I'm thinking is this working towards
[89]
that don't let the small stuff get in
[91]
your way highly recommend read this book
[93]
next how many years ago did you read
[97]
this our tutors I'd you know my counting
[99]
gave me that in 2009 I think it was
[101]
either yeah brilliant business book if
[106]
you are wanting to systemize your what
[108]
any kind of business this is all about
[110]
systemization and we're placing yourself
[113]
working on your business but not in it
[115]
you've done this with your deal
[117]
packaging business setting you because
[119]
how you know you know I spend a day with
[121]
my deal packaging business uh sort of
[123]
David to means ever so you in the combi
[125]
days a month yeah couple days a month
[126]
for cover days a month and how much you
[127]
making thirty-five or forty thousand
[130]
thirty to forty thousand per month per
[132]
month
[133]
and that's because of the thickness
[135]
ization so and a lot of the stuff that I
[137]
teach has come out of this so I have to
[139]
really credit some of these behemoths
[141]
that brilliant book brilliant book for
[143]
systemization next I could not leave
[146]
this one out
[147]
bum bum bum Rich Dad Poor Dad this was
[150]
my first ever investment book that I
[153]
read it's brilliant yeah it's brilliant
[155]
you read this and then I think my book
[157]
came up as a suggestion
[158]
dead year so that I read that fast and
[160]
it came up you may like this also then
[162]
it was you look this books all about
[164]
passive income and really about
[166]
reconditioning your mind from some of
[168]
the old ways of thinking to actually
[170]
financial no financial freedom but
[172]
passive income and investments and not
[175]
having a job having money work for you
[177]
instead of you working for money we're
[179]
in book this is kind of like legendry
[180]
isn't it might even have to take I don't
[183]
know if this would take number one it's
[185]
certainly the most a lot of people that
[186]
come to my crash courses that have
[187]
started off bothering this books after
[189]
thank Robert Kiyosaki and I know we book
[192]
dinners with him and different things
[193]
like that nice bloke very very
[197]
knowledgeable very direct good bloke
[198]
like your sake gets a lot of it's a lot
[201]
of stick but I guess everyone gets stick
[203]
with there's you know direct like that
[205]
and you help that many people next
[207]
little voice master right you know where
[209]
you can have all of the knowledge and
[211]
you can have all of the training you can
[213]
have all of the money to invest you can
[214]
have everything going for you but if you
[216]
have those little voice if you listen to
[219]
those little voices in your head they'll
[221]
let you use them I have little devils on
[225]
my shoulder going crazy at me so yeah
[227]
what saying you can't do they're not for
[231]
you yeah it's somebody else's time it's
[232]
too good to be true
[234]
all these little voices well this does
[236]
it teaches you how to be aware of the
[239]
little fears and doubts and voices that
[241]
you have in your head and says that
[243]
you'll always have them but it's not
[245]
about it's not about killing the little
[248]
voices
[248]
it's about mastering them which is why
[250]
it's called little voice mastery by
[251]
blessing blessing is also a personal
[253]
friend of mine so I've been a lot of
[256]
Tommy Blair and he's a fantastic guy and
[259]
this book is just incredible so get this
[262]
from here my next week and you're not
[264]
read this yet I've not read all of it
[265]
I've read this
[269]
do it mate keep it as a gift gift gift
[273]
from me to you
[274]
alright this one's really important that
[276]
this one Alastair is not read how to win
[278]
friends and influence people tell that
[281]
he's not ready no you do have friends
[285]
I'm your friend you know what in quite
[287]
well I think I need to reread this
[289]
because this is really about how to get
[293]
what you want in life
[294]
yeah but but but get it without walking
[297]
over people without upsetting people
[299]
just kind of keep people on side having
[302]
friends but also influence it it's a
[304]
really really good book I haven't read
[306]
this in a long time I really should
[308]
reread this because I think I do offend
[310]
a lot of people and this might be a bit
[312]
more nice
[313]
you don't offend that many people well I
[315]
need to reread this but brilliant book
[317]
really good this really set me up for
[319]
life I read this about 10 years ago next
[322]
this yes there is a fantastic one 4-hour
[324]
workweek ironically it takes a lot more
[327]
than four hours to read the book I was
[329]
gonna disc it's quite a thing four hour
[331]
work week but it takes like 40 hours to
[334]
read it this is one thing I don't know
[336]
why Tim Ferriss spent so many words on
[339]
this book because although it's
[340]
fantastic it is it's a very exhaustive
[343]
read
[344]
I don't business I think there might be
[345]
a simplified version of this which might
[347]
take four hours to read however
[350]
fantastic and and what this early I know
[353]
you've implemented a lot of stuff but
[355]
some of this stuff you've got secondhand
[356]
form from me yeah yeah but but but this
[359]
really talks about how it doesn't take
[361]
that much time to get things done and
[363]
it's about saving time only focusing on
[366]
the important things
[367]
awesome awesome people Lily Dahle don't
[370]
they die instead of focusing on just
[372]
that cuts this short period of time yeah
[373]
I know you like you blast and you yeah
[375]
but a window will ya blast and do we got
[377]
to do yeah chill out and in blasted yeah
[379]
and surprisingly this is written for
[382]
employees so if you have a job this is
[384]
really gonna help you can escape the
[386]
nine-to-five live anywhere and join the
[388]
new rich because he talks how to get
[389]
your nine-to-five done in short time and
[392]
how to start getting your employer to
[394]
agree agree to you working from home mr.
[397]
flood that says really good book read
[398]
this
[399]
next one of my favorites great book it's
[404]
great that when I joined the Academy I
[405]
made you read they said yeah that was on
[409]
a book listed for nothing that was the
[410]
first one we have to read yeah yeah
[412]
one the Omni Academy we always try to
[414]
encourage people to read these books so
[415]
Jeff Olsen again I've met Jeff great guy
[418]
and this the slight edge basically talks
[422]
about the two become really successful
[425]
and become wealthy and to succeed as an
[428]
investor or businessperson or whatever
[429]
it's all about the little choices and
[432]
the obituaries in life so this will
[434]
really give you new habits like for
[437]
instance getting slim you know you don't
[438]
suddenly go on a a two-week fast they
[440]
get slimming and that you know what you
[442]
do is you just have you just change your
[444]
lifestyle habits and then you get slim
[445]
same with success say we probably same
[447]
everything brilliant book I read this 11
[450]
years ago do you know how to from that
[452]
book if you just do one little thing
[453]
every day yeah and in a year's time look
[455]
at the changes gonna happen yeah that's
[456]
what I tend to read this every few years
[458]
and this is one of my personal favorites
[460]
best ever best ever biography real easy
[463]
read I love easy reads screw it let's do
[466]
it this book I read when I was 16 years
[468]
old so now about what eleven twelve
[471]
years ago and again changed my life also
[473]
I know Richard Branson I've met him on
[475]
more than one occasion great guy
[477]
one of the most interesting bunch of
[479]
energy that you'll ever meet he's such a
[481]
nice guy as well auntie he talks about
[483]
if an opportunity comes along say yes
[487]
and then figure it out later
[488]
and this his life is a living testimony
[491]
of that what he's achieved is fantastic
[493]
he's probably one of the most loved and
[495]
well respected business people
[498]
entrepreneurs on the planet so you can
[500]
read this in probably a few hours so
[503]
absolutely inspirational and a really
[506]
refreshing read as well his life story
[508]
with a lot of lessons in there because
[512]
of that seem that Steen just say yes and
[514]
do it yeah I just say yes worry about
[516]
later
[516]
most people worry you know an
[518]
opportunity comes along and they're
[519]
worried about all the again a little
[520]
voice don't worry about what about this
[523]
one about this whereas he just goes for
[524]
it and yeah that's how he achieved so
[526]
much success I love Richard Branson next
[529]
we're almost there
[530]
eat that frog fantastic book time
[532]
management
[533]
is that critical yeah not met Brian
[537]
Tracy but I I I've heard him I've heard
[540]
these audios I've heard him speak yeah
[542]
I've listened to he does video series as
[544]
well about time management yeah I mean
[545]
eat that frog the idea is eating a frog
[549]
is obviously unpleasant so what is
[550]
talking about is do the most unpleasant
[552]
tasks first so when you wake up the
[555]
things that you like maybe phone the
[556]
estate agent or you know the things that
[559]
you normally would put off and you think
[561]
about if you think I need to do that at
[562]
some point you think about and you do
[565]
the jobs that you enjoy first and then
[566]
the really important ones that you don't
[567]
never get done see says just wake up in
[569]
the morning and the nasty jobs just eat
[572]
that frog or get it had the water but
[574]
not procrastinating not wasting like not
[576]
yeah billion things just get on with it
[578]
21 great ways to stop procrastinating
[580]
and get more done in less time really
[582]
good book I've only events twice but
[584]
it's fantastic and lastly this is
[587]
probably gonna be the best of all of
[590]
them and this is whatever it takes by
[595]
now there's dead coming up now in all
[598]
seriousness this is a fantastic book
[599]
you're apt to get in the top 12 not just
[601]
because you're sat next to me I've read
[603]
this again I've probably read this three
[605]
times and I know I brought the forward
[608]
yeah what's this book about it's about
[611]
my journey so it's about where it was 80
[613]
months ago to meet the new and to
[616]
personal battles and personal struggles
[618]
and to those sitting here on your phone
[621]
you and your front room not pretty much
[623]
you AMA so firm we all business partners
[625]
and we're very very good friends but not
[628]
only is it your story but it's also it's
[630]
very practical oh I've been talking
[632]
about how to set up as a compliant deal
[634]
you know yeah I was really practical I
[636]
was very conscious that didn't want it
[638]
been full of sort of filler and fluff
[640]
I literally a very direct person so bang
[643]
straight to the point
[645]
it's a fabulous book you can literally
[647]
read this book and start making money
[649]
straight away but the cool thing is
[650]
whatever it takes what a great title for
[653]
a book because all gianni if you want to
[654]
be successful
[654]
you got to be prepared to do whatever it
[656]
takes I completely agree so my advice to
[658]
you would be even if you just read like
[661]
I'm talking about slight edge
[663]
little and off them like you can't read
[665]
all of these books in one go it's gonna
[668]
take time but my advice will be just
[670]
start reading a chapter a day you know
[672]
just spend 20 minutes a day get up in
[674]
the morning and get up get up 20 minutes
[677]
earlier than you normally do and just
[678]
read 20 minutes of one of these books we
[681]
miss there's nothing so stay off
[682]
Facebook and just going you read a book
[683]
exalt like a and you know what rather
[685]
than filling your mind with what your
[687]
broke loser friends on Facebook put on
[690]
their newsfeed you know let's go through
[693]
that for 20 minutes why not just get up
[696]
in the morning and read like don't
[697]
there's any excuses that because like
[699]
most of these books are available
[700]
inaudible yeah so you can't turn your
[704]
car into a mini University 200 percent
[707]
you know so when you're when you're in
[708]
your car C is an opportunity oh great
[710]
I'm gonna be able to learn in the car
[711]
you know I think me I've read even for
[713]
short journeys yeah yeah I just come
[715]
from the offices to here it's like 25
[717]
minutes the average person spends about
[720]
ten hours a week driving oh well so if
[722]
you just every time you drive it listen
[724]
to audre listen to these books on
[726]
audible then within probably a year or
[729]
two you would have read it I'll tell you
[731]
away if you read every one of those
[733]
twelve books it would change a lot hmm
[735]
you get a different person man yeah so
[738]
it's just the small changes so but I
[741]
tell you what I love reading books but
[742]
there's nothing a lot of these authors
[744]
of met and I've been on their training
[745]
programs enough I like dinner we've done
[747]
and I just don't think you can beat live
[751]
training program there live interaction
[752]
because they've not only to get the
[754]
information but you get it in a fun way
[756]
and you can ask the author questions you
[759]
know so whatever you do get down to a
[761]
property investors crash course because
[763]
I have not only read hundreds and
[765]
hundreds of books but I've also spent
[767]
hundreds and hundreds of thousands of
[769]
pounds getting trained and everything I
[773]
now just the best if it comes out of the
[775]
Cross Allah sent me a narrated by Lauren
[777]
hi yeah and then that came that came
[779]
with an opportunity to come to the crash
[780]
course yeah and being there live is much
[784]
the bit was good it was great yeah I
[786]
actually been there live
[788]
it's like night things well then you
[790]
know
[791]
although reading is great yeah reading
[793]
books is fantastic I really recommend it
[794]
it
[795]
it's the bottom it's the absolute worst
[798]
way to learn yeah reading a book is the
[800]
worst
[801]
here's the order reading mmm hearing
[804]
yeah seeing seeing it done yeah then
[809]
doing it yeah and then the ultimate is
[813]
to teach teacher and that's why I love
[815]
teaching yeah I put up my programs of
[817]
the property investors crunch cause you
[819]
don't read it you don't read it you
[821]
don't hear it you actually see it that's
[823]
why I'm the crash course I do deals
[825]
mm-hmm but then I get the everyone in on
[827]
the program to do deals yeah and then I
[830]
get them to teach what they did and
[831]
explain back to me so it's almost like
[834]
learning on steroids because it probably
[836]
is most people most people won't spend
[838]
20 minutes a day no they will give up
[840]
one weekend
[840]
one weekend that will change your life
[842]
this is turning into a crash course Beit
[844]
Jala Frey you know what you know why
[845]
that is I'm so friggin passionate if it
[847]
comes back to the doing a little bit
[849]
like a slight edge doing that little bit
[850]
every day a little bit nothing
[852]
yeah it's nothing 10 15 20 minutes of
[854]
these attend one program one training
[856]
program every three months yeah or if it
[859]
was a quarter I mean you still good
[860]
training program yeah and I go to Lhasa
[862]
tree what's those in Germany right now
[867]
blessing up trying to use fantastic
[871]
because because the more you learn the
[872]
more you earn hundred and if you want to
[874]
be wealthy but you're a small container
[877]
you as you learn you grow and then you
[879]
you you you're your container grows and
[882]
you have an ability to hold more carry
[884]
more impact more be more yeah who was
[886]
either said if you're born broke that's
[889]
not your fault
[890]
but if you die broke that's your fault I
[893]
don't know it was it says it's been true
[894]
yeah and the way to not die broke is to
[896]
learn so I hope that was helpful if
[899]
there are books that should have been on
[901]
the list that were not on the list
[902]
comment them below favorite books also
[905]
your feedback and hope to see you on a
[907]
crash course we'll put a link below www
[910]
dot property - investors but credit UK
[912]

[915]
see you next week on thoughtful Thursday
