today i'm going to do a review of a

sg standard with a bigsby

i've had this guitar for about five
years now

and we've been through a lot together
i've

i've even snapped the head off actually

okay so to start off uh as you can see
there are two humbuckers on this
[51]
guitar
which is great for big distorted sounds

that's what we all want

um there are two volume knobs two tone
knobs

they give you a good range of tone with
these

and the toggle switch has
three settings

the weight and feel is the next thing
i think it's a really smooth guitar to

play
um it's really clean

and it does have a bit of a tendency to
do a head dive

and in terms of the balance you can see
here

when i take my arm off it the
headstock goes down it's
[110]
it's not too bad once you get used to it
and also when you're standing up it

doesn't tend to happen so much

there's a bigsby vibrato system installed
on this guitar

and this is really good for
very subtle pitch bends okay

it's not for crazy whammy
um van halen kind of stuff okay

now finally changing the strings on this
guitar is quite

difficult and um i hope you have strong
fingers for it

you do get used to it after a while but
especially to begin with it's really

really difficult
to do and you can

get a thing called the vibremate spoiler
which can make it a lot easier to put

the strings on the guitar
it basically uh brings around

rather than having to put the string
underneath it uh

makes it more accessible on this side
and

it would be worth the investment okay
