Hello my name is BB2K, and in this video I'll be showing you how to create a
[5]
Bitcoin mobile cold storage with segwit enabled, keeping your bitcoins
[9]
in a cold storage means your private keys or the mnemonics that you use are
[14]
kept offline. The purpose of keeping your bitcoins offline is to protect your
[19]
private keys or mnemonics from being stored on a device which could be easily
[23]
compromised. For this we will need a computer which has internet connection
[28]
and offline device such as a laptop which will not be used for connecting to
[32]
the internet, a USB memory stick for transferring data from the online to the
[36]
offline computer and an Android mobile phone with Sentinel installed
[43]
Heading over to our computer with internet connection, open up your favorite browser
[48]
navigated to the web page https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
[57]
this webpage is a BIP39 tool a tool for converting BIP39 mnemonic phrases to
[64]
addresses and private keys save the web page to our USB memory stick remove the
[72]
USB device and plug it in into UD offline laptop as well as being offline
[80]
make sure you are not surrounded by people who could be potentially
[83]
overlooking your shoulder transfer the web page from our flash drive to the
[89]
offline device the reason for doing this offline is to prevent sensitive
[93]
information such as your mnemonics and private keys from leaking onto the
[98]
internet open the web page file to launch the pneumonic code generator once
[106]
launched the first thing to check for is the fifth option for coin make sure PTC
[113]
Bitcoin is selected before we begin generating our first set of mnemonics we
[120]
have the options to choose the number of words to generate we can generate a
[124]
recovery phrase as few as three words and up to 24 words for convenience
[131]
I'll pick twelve word for this demo once you have generated your mnemonics
[137]
for your wallet please write it down and keep these words safe if you lose your
[143]
private key you will lose access to your Bitcoin next part is the optional
[150]
passphrase here you can enter a password or passphrase of your own choosing
[156]
similar to mnemonics in order to access your Bitcoin you will need both T
[161]
recovery mnemonics and recovery passphrase missing any one of these or
[166]
any error could result in the loss of your Bitcoin after we have obtained our
[172]
set of mnemonics scroll down to the next section which is the derivation path by
[180]
default the Legacy VIP 44 is selected make sure to pick VIP 49 for your secwet
[188]
speed corn wallets the advantage of spending bitcoins of Secrets is cheaper
[193]
transaction fee and protection from a transaction malleability scrolling down
[201]
the webpage just a bit more you will arrive at the accounts extended public
[206]
key section clicking on the text box will bring up this QR code equivalent
[214]
right-click on a QR code save the image to your local machine open the image for
[222]
the QR code separately instead of scanning directly from the webpage
[226]
reason for that is when we scan it with a mobile phone we do not want our mobile
[231]
device to see sensitive information such as our private keys
[238]
next launch the Sentinel application from our Android device Sentinel is an
[243]
Android application which allows you to receive payment into your offline wallet
[249]
Kapaun starts to begin select the secretary Cohen wallet select scan then
[257]
scan the QR code on the computer give your wallet
[260]
an appropriate label after successful wallets input click on the Add button
[270]
and select deposit if we have back to our VIP 39 and web page we can see that
[279]
the first derived address matches with the adjust generated on the mobile
[284]
wallet we can do this a few more times to ensure that derived addresses matches
[290]
with the addresses on the mobile phone and congratulations you have just
[294]
created yourself a mobile Bitcoin code storage you can now use your sentinel
[299]
wallet to receive Bitcoin payment without worrying about your private keys
[304]
