Cryptocurrency exchange review and walkthrough - Coinbase & Coinbase Pro, Binance, Kucoin - YouTube
Channel: Phong Bui
[4]
Where do you store your cryptocurrency?
Hi, this is Phong. I'm gonna share with
[10]
you three different websites that I store
[14]
my cryptocurrency and I'm not going to go over the plus or
[19]
the benefit of cryptos currencies. There are plenty of other videos that are
[24]
already doing that. This one is only focused on
[28]
the cryptocurrency exchanges that I
put my cryptocurrency
[32]
in. I'm gonna log in in each one of them
and share with you their layout and
[40]
some of the things I see in it. So let's go!
[46]
Coinbase is an American website so you see here - clean interface.
[56]
you can sign up and get started
get started by just basically some basic
[63]
information. Put in your information.
[67]
They do need some additional information
from you
[72]
and they'll reach out to you but let's
sign in.
[79]
Entering my information
[93]
Login. Check this or not.
All of these sites do require a
[101]
authentication or second authentication
so
[102]
that expired.
[106]
You have to get this [Google Authenticator] in order to be able to use any of these sites because it
[112]
requires a second authentication
the password to keep it
[117]
safe.
[122]
While this is logging on...
When you log on
[130]
You can see the headers at the top, your
[134]
portfolio balances. You can look at the
last hour,
[137]
24 hour, a week, a month, all year
etc down here
[145]
the watch list which is basically
the type of assets that Coinbase is
[152]
currently support. If i click onto here
[157]
they have about 26 they have 26 assets
that they support
[162]
which is the lowest of the three we're
gonna talk about
[167]
um and um
it's um in any one of them
[173]
you can just click on tray and
be able to uh to purchase it right
[180]
from home um you know there's something
you can buy your friends and both of you
[187]
will get ten dollar crypto
i'll i'll copy the link and share on
[192]
um down below and then if you want to
you can join there um
[198]
portfolio is your balances the asset
that you have
[204]
and they'll list it out based on the
amount and the allocations
[212]
over here that you have some rewards um
basically these are stakings
[216]
um i have uh my steak in and diet
and tesla two dollars not you know the
[223]
biggest thing in the world but
it is what that is um
[230]
prices um
if um this is where you can go in and
[237]
buy and and sell your cryptos currency
um to try to do this here um what
[245]
they'll have here is
uh you know what do you want to buy for
[249]
example
let's say you want to buy you choose
[254]
bitcoin
cash or ethereum put a thousand dollars
[259]
in for example
and you review i'm not gonna buy i'm
[264]
just gonna show you
preview so uh the price of
[272]
the uh bitcoin that currently
they have it at is 11 526
[279]
per bitcoin um so within that thousand
eight hundred and
[284]
nine hundred and eighty five dollar
thirty two cent is the purchase
[287]
coinbase fees is 14.68
um relatively actually that's probably
[295]
one of the more expensive
uh um fees i'll show you a cheaper way
[300]
to
to to get it in a minute
[304]
so we're not gonna buy that and so let's
get back to home
[308]
uh and the other thing you could do is
you know you can
[313]
send your you can send your your uh
currency cryptocurrency to
[320]
anywhere um so just have to
re you know figure out what the address
[326]
is and you can send your
cryptocurrency to that um that
[332]
wallet address as well as receive
just make sure that you choose the right
[341]
type of currency because otherwise it
may get lost and
[344]
each cryptocurrency has a different
addresses uh
[348]
linked to it um that's
you know there are some information
[352]
there i would say
um when you sign up for coinbase um
[358]
what you should always do is go to their
reward
[361]
sections and this is where you get to
earn cryptocurrency
[366]
just by learning um they've got some
learning module here
[371]
that you can learn um read and
and basically watch some videos answer
[377]
some questions
and earn some cryptocurrency for example
[381]
i did 16 out of 18 i got 35
worth of cryptos currency and
[387]
you know that's fairly easy
[391]
so that's about it for
the coinbase site
[398]
there's a you know if you're a little
bit more
[404]
experienced you can also do the pro
coinbase.com basically this is the
[410]
sister
site to coinbase if you it's using the
[414]
same login
as coinbase so if you
[418]
are logging into coinbase you can
automatically go to pro
[422]
and you get a more uh almost like your
stock-like
[428]
view of um of the cryptocurrency
market and here's a lot
[435]
when you trade it it's more immediate
and you get um
[440]
the pricing is more immediate however
you do need to have your
[445]
your cash or your your
uh crypto exchanges
[451]
in this account so you do have to
transfer back and forth from coinbase
[457]
the price is
a lot cheaper as well um for that
[461]
thousand dollar purchase that we made or
985 dollars we would charge 14
[467]
over here in coinbase uh pro it's about
a third of it so four dollars
[473]
so you can see if you make bigger
purchases it's a lot
[476]
better to do it from pro coinbase
however it is a bit more complicated and
[484]
so
for beginner i would suggest that you
[488]
would just do it from
just regular coinbase um so that's it
[495]
for uh coinbase the
second site we're going to go to is
[502]
bit binions
so binance
[510]
finance is uh outside of uh
coinbase binance is probably the the
[516]
most popular site from the uh
for folks in the united states um i
[523]
think worldwide is probably the
the bigger ones um finance is based on
[528]
china
again as most of these sites fairly
[534]
simple interface from the beginning um
you again register they'll need some
[541]
information about you
uh drive a license passport etc
[546]
um just to prove you who you are who you
say you are
[550]
um i'm gonna log in
did you have the options of email or
[556]
mobile
i usually
[562]
again there this one require
um it to send it to your phone number
[569]
so i'm gonna enter in my
[574]
information
submit or you can also do the
[582]
authenticator
[585]
so on binance you have
somebody the interface here i'm just
[590]
going to walk through you got your
uh different educations or
[596]
information that you want to learn more
about it you can buy
[599]
buy crypto um there's different market
markets for it in trade you do futures
[607]
derivatives
and the different type of
[612]
finance coin okay
um your wallet is
[619]
uh there's uh binance does it
their wallet a little differently than
[625]
than um coinbase so
let me just go here
[637]
so within
within your wallet they've got you know
[642]
your spot
uh your spot which is just
[647]
kind of where it is you can either
deposit a tray
[651]
and this is i would say the majority of
where the activity will take place
[656]
margin i didn't i don't think i set up
my margin account
[660]
but if you want to buy a margin or in
futures
[664]
in the futures you can change directly
with a third party
[671]
so but i would say as a beginner and
a new user i would just stick with the
[677]
the
spot market you can deposit new fund
[682]
you can deposit cash but
if i click on cash um you can only
[689]
it if you look at the list um
we go down here dollars is not accepted
[697]
so unfortunately um so
that's no good and you could also do
[703]
um deposit and credit card
but that is a 2.5 percent
[711]
charge to your credit card um dozer
the the pieces of
[719]
cost that will happen so for example
you know if um the different
[726]
the difference for um finance
is that when you buy and sell in
[733]
finances they use the
finance coin that's what you use to pay
[738]
for
your transaction so
[742]
it's good you know i can you can do it
otherwise too but
[746]
if if you're going to be on binance i
would suggest that you do buy
[751]
um have some binance coin in your
portfolio um
[758]
just see a tray what tray you can do it
you know
[761]
here's a different kind of tray that you
can do um
[767]
click on this
[770]
yeah much more sophistic much more
um sophisticated
[777]
than coinbase um so um
i think that but once you get used to
[783]
the interface you
understand how to to to
[787]
make purchases okay
again pretty much various
[796]
some of the same features that are
available so if you take coinbase pro
[800]
and coinbase
you it's pretty much like
[805]
binance so let me log out
[812]
and lastly let's go to coin um
kucoin
[823]
kucoin is based out of hong kong um so
it's newer than binance and
[832]
and coinbase i like it
also um and i use this one a lot
[841]
so kucoin also has his own
um coins called the kucoin
[848]
cool coins apparently so
here's the interface um i think kucoin
[855]
is
much more clutter but so there is a
[858]
learning curve to it
um let's log in i have my
[864]
information there
so logging in got a little thing i gotta
[873]
do
to make sure that i'm a human
[882]
and then have to go and use
google authenticator
[898]
success
[901]
logging in
[909]
so the right you know you can again
i'm not going to go through the
[914]
interface just going to show you what it
looks like
[917]
and on the site itself
have your main account your trading
[922]
account
you can deposit but the deposit in
[926]
kucoin
is only made your cryptocurrency so
[930]
you do have to deposit a a
cryptocurrency in here um
[937]
you do have some of the information up
here
[940]
your main account
[944]
the type of account that you have
deposit withdrawal
[948]
transfers basically
this is a holding area
[957]
if you want to trade you probably want
to do it in your trading account
[962]
that's where you either buy or share
[967]
buy or sell you can see this coin has a
lot of
[972]
i support a lot of uh cryptocurrency so
if there's a cryptocurrency that you
[977]
want to
to buy and it's one of the smaller one
[981]
kucoin is probably the place to go for
it
[984]
um finance as well
[989]
so those are the three cryptocurrency
exchanges that i use
[994]
and there are others including the cash
app
[998]
biz i think even robinhood has its own
cryptocurrency exchanges
[1006]
so you can try them both um
but for the ones that i do use i think
[1012]
if you're
a beginner um getting into
[1016]
cryptocurrency or just want to simplify
version of some
[1022]
exposure to cryptocurrency then i would
think that you want to
[1025]
be using coinbase and coinbase pro
um as you increase on
[1032]
you know you want increase exposures and
then the other two
[1038]
exchanges are are great as well um
that is binance and kucoin
[1047]
i've given you a list of cryptocurrency
exchange sites that are
[1051]
pretty good to use so if you like
them and you like the video please
[1057]
subscribe
and i'll see you next time bye bye
