Pearson Testing Center Update | Will my test be canceled? - YouTube
Channel: The Learning Liaisons, Inc.
[0]
Hey there! Doctor A here, CEO and
Founder of The Learning Liaisons
[3]
and a quick update when it comes to your
testing center. So if you are a college
[8]
student or a current classroom teacher
needing to pass your FTC exams in this
[12]
video is being filmed right now at the
end of April 2020. So just a quick recap
[17]
you probably take it taken advantage of
the fee waiver code that's on the
[21]
Pearson website, great!
You got exam scheduled that's awesome!
[25]
This is directed to those people here
that I have their tests scheduled in
[28]
early May to mid-may 2020. Please make
sure you go into your Pearson account
[34]
and check the status of your exam.
Meaning there are several teachers we
[39]
have about thirty five hundred teachers
in a private Facebook group called When
[43]
You Pass and a lot of people are
reaching out to me personally and
[45]
posting it on a group that they've
driven in their car to their testing
[48]
center and go in to take the test
and guess what? It's canceled and there's
[54]
no word, no emails sent to them but
however they check their bank account
[57]
and the test was refunded. So remember
I'm not Pearson, I'm not the State of
[61]
Florida, just cover your bases when it
comes to your upcoming exam. So if you
[65]
have to take, if you're scheduled to take
your test in May first week of May,
[69]
second week of May, third week of May,
make sure you reach out to the testing
[73]
center. If they don't answer the phone
because obviously they're flooded and
[76]
there's a lot of things going on now in
the country obviously with Covid-19 but
[81]
just be patient and make sure you always
check your Pearson account to make sure
[85]
your test is actually going. Like I said
there are many people that have driven
[88]
long distances to go take tests and they
come to find out that it's cancelled and
[93]
no one emailed them. So do your due
diligence, check up on you said everyday
[97]
go to that, your Pearson account and
make sure because the last thing you
[100]
want to do is get all anxious and study
for your test and get all ready, get in
[104]
your car, go there and find out your test
was actually cancelled. So, yes should
[109]
they send out cancellation emails and
notifications? Of course they should but
[113]
there's a lot of craziness going on
right now so please make sure you cover
[116]
your bases. This is just a word for me
based on the experiences the teachers
[120]
are sharing with me. So if you once again
if you have your test scheduled in the
[123]
first week, second a second week of May,
make sure you find out of it actually
[129]
going down because just because you
didn't get an email doesn't mean that
[132]
they didn't cancel the testing center, so
the test that day. So make sure remember
[136]
I'm always telling people let's see what
this the governor of the State of
[140]
Florida does as this stay-at-home order
expires on I believe it's April 30th or
[145]
May 1st one of those days. This is really
going to dictate how the testing centers
[149]
are going to do their business. So if
they open everything up or they open up
[152]
certain certain businesses then they're
probably have to test they'll have certain
[156]
safety measures. There are some teachers
that have actually driven to Georgia to
[160]
take their FTC exams in April, since they
just opened up
[163]
non-essential businesses last week, if
you're following the news. Several
[167]
teachers have drives a couple hours to
go to Georgia and they express that if
[171]
they not have every seat is full, they have six
feet between them, you're allowed to wear
[175]
your mask and gloves, things like that. So
I expect the same thing in the State of
[178]
Florida if they do ixnay and cancel
those stay at home orders. So we just
[184]
have to see what happens. So I wanted to
make this quick video because there's a
[187]
lot of frustrations and I also want to
stop frustrations because you're
[190]
probably not aware of what's going on
now when when the possibility of going
[194]
to a center on your test day coming up
and actually finding out it's closed. So
[198]
make sure, check your account, try to call
the testing center if you possibly can
[203]
but also check your banking account to
make sure that they didn't already
[206]
refund you your test fee if you paid
previously. Like I said I know there's a
[211]
free code moving forward but even if
it's free and you're able to get on that
[216]
schedule in May it might be cancelled
and rescheduled. So once again make sure,
[219]
check your bank account. If you paid
before check the Pearson website to see
[224]
if it's still on and just cover your
tracks because that's the last thing you
[228]
need is to go to a testing center all
ready to go and it's closed. So once
