Hi everyone! I'm Carrie from the training
[2]
team, here to showcase the Sale-A-Bration
[4]
Make a Medallion Stamp Set. This set has
[9]
several intricate pieces that can be
[11]
layered over each other in different
[13]
inks and colors. And, the final effect
[16]
will be a fancy, multicolored medallion.
[18]
It's really simple to use and the end
[21]
result is so impressive.
[24]
Let me show you. The set is photopolymer,
[29]
which makes it really easy to line up
[31]
the different layers. I've started with
[35]
my darkest or brightest color, Melon
[38]
Mambo. I'll stamp that first layer.
[45]
For my second layer I'm using Soft Suede.
[48]
Now, kind of take your time with the
[53]
placement. You can see down through to that
[56]
bright color that we've already stamped.
[58]
So, it's easy to line up. Just take
[61]
your time and make sure you get it
[63]
exactly where you want it to be.
[71]
So there's our first two layers. Now
[74]
we're going to do some stamping in the
[76]
center, and this time I'm using my
[78]
lightest color, Pink Pirouette. It's so
[82]
light, it might even be difficult to see.
[98]
Then I still have a little bit of
[99]
space in the center so I'm going to use
[102]
this bitty piece just to fill in some of
[106]
that space. There's my finished medallion.
[115]
Now, I could cut that out with our
[117]
Layering Circle Framelits, and I would
[122]
get a piece that looks like this.
[126]
Let me show you what that looks like on
[128]
a finished card. This image was
[132]
stepped up just a little bit using the
[134]
heat embossing technique. Instead of
[136]
the Soft Suede, it was stamped in
[139]
Versamark and then embossed with gold
[141]
embossing powder. It gives a little bit
[143]
of shine and texture.
[145]
The stamp set also comes with a
[148]
selection of three different sentiments
[151]
that you can add to your card. You can
[153]
see the word "love" stamped on a
[154]
little tag in the center of this card.
[157]
Once you start layering and mixing
[160]
and matching the pieces you will have so
[162]
much fun with this set.
[164]
Let me show you a few more ideas. This
[170]
card was stamped using the same pieces
[173]
that we just used, and again, it uses the
[175]
heat embossing technique with the white
[178]
embossing powder. I wanted to point
[180]
out how perfectly that "love" sentiment
[183]
fits in the opening of the medallion
[185]
piece. It kind of creates a perfect frame
[188]
for your greeting. And, speaking of frames,
[193]
look at this beautiful card. This card
[198]
shows a more simple way to use the set.
[201]
We've used this same piece, but used the
[204]
technique of omitting or masking to take
[207]
out the center part. So it creates a
[211]
really lovely frame and background on
[213]
this card. A similar technique was used
[218]
on this card. The medallion piece frames
[223]
the flower focal point perfectly.
[226]
And, I loved how this the little bitty
[229]
piece was used to create
[231]
this delicate border. Now this last card
[238]
is a little bit more time intensive, but
[241]
it is beautiful. The outside layer has
[244]
been stamped and then cut out to create
[246]
some depth and dimension. And the
[249]
medallion was stamped repeatedly on
[251]
this strip to create some texture in the
[253]
background. So whether you use one piece,
[256]
a couple pieces, or all of the pieces in
[258]
this set, you are going to come up with
[260]
so many combinations and ways to make
[262]
medallions. And, whether you are an
[265]
experienced stamper or a beginner, this set
[269]
will make you look and feel like an
[271]
artist. So don't wait.
