Lenormand Reading for January 3 - January 9, 2022 - YouTube

Hello! Georgina here. And welcome to the first  Monday of 2022! Each week we take a peek into the  

future with an oracle from my personal collection.  For this week's reading I'm using Siolo Thompson's  

Scrying Ink Lenormand with the 3x3 Box Spread  (also known as the Portrait Spread). There is more  

than one way to layout the 3x3 Box Spread, so I'll  explain the positions as I lay them out. Position  

1 goes in the middle of the spread and sets the  tone for the entire reading. And it is Garden.

This card symbolizes public places and spaces, so  the core predictions will in some way relate back  

to this card's meaning. That meaning may fluctuate  due to the unique nature of how Lenormand cards  

are read in relationship to each other. Position  2 goes to the left of the center card. And it is  

Ship. This card has multiple meanings but for the  time being we'll think of this as "long distance  

travel." Position 3 goes above the center card.  And it is Snake. Uh oh! Snake signifies danger,  

but it's the kind of danger that can be avoided  if you exercise a little caution. Position 4  

goes to the right of the center card. And it  is Heart. The Heart is passion. People, places,  

and/or issues that you feel strongly about. Or  it may indicate something or someone close to  

you. Position 5 goes below the center card.  And it is Child this can be actual children,  

a new situation, or simply something small. And  now we will fill in the corners with the last four  

cards. Position 6 goes into the lower left. And it  is Key. The Key highlights that which is important  

and provides insightful answers. Position  7 goes to the upper left and it is  

Moon. The Moon is my card to symbolize  work, fame, and reputation. Basically how  

your actions "reflect" on you. Position 8  goes to the upper right. And it is Cross.

Ooof. That is a sign of suffering and what  must be endured. And finishing up the Box  

Spread is Position 9 down in the lower right hand  corner. And it is Crossroad. Choices, choices,  

choices! Okay now we have three rows,  three columns, and two diagonals. That's  

one downward and one upward to read. General rules  of Lenormand apply: We read from left to right,  

with each card providing more information about  the card (or cards) that came before it. And cards  

at the top influence those below. If there is any  confusion, we'll use techniques such as Knighting  

for more information. Unlike Tarot, we don't pull  additional cards for clarification. Everything  

we need is right here. So top row: Moon, Snake,  Cross. That's work, danger, burden. The cards of  

this row bear down on the ones below, so we'll  read this trio first. Something about work is  

dangerous and creates problems. Understanding  what kind of danger is important. And the Key is  

a Knight's move away from the Snake. That's  how you can tell the danger is important.  

And a choice is involved because the Crossroad  is a Knight's move away from Snake. To understand  

what kind of problems, I'm looking to what is a  Knight's move away from the Cross. And that would  

be Ship and Child, so that indicates that there  are new complications when traveling long distance  

(at least for this week). The middle row is  Ship, Garden, Heart. Long distance travel,  

public places and spaces, and passion. This is  an important row since it is formed by the first,  

second, and fourth cards drawn from the  deck. The core message here is about  

traveling to and from public places and  those places are of high priority for you.  

Taken with the cards at the top row, that travel  is likely to be work-related. (Moon over Ship.)

And the Snake above Garden indicates that  there is some danger, so exercise caution!  

The bottom row: Key, Child, Crossroad.  That's answers and insights, something new,  

and choices. As the first card in this row, the  Key represents possible answers or insights.  

The Child adds the detail that these  answers are new or untested solutions.  

Regardless, a decision must be made this week  as the Crossroad is the last card in the spread.  

Now let's look at those columns! First  column that is Moon, Ship, Key. That's  

work, long-distance travel, and something  important. The Key highlights that which is  

important. In this position I see it as bringing  attention to the already mentioned work-related  

long-distance travel you may face this week.  The second column that's Snake, Garden, Child.  

That's danger, public places and spaces, something  new or small. This is another important row since  

it intersects with the center card. And reading  from top to bottom there is danger. That danger  

is in a public place or space, and the public  area is either one that is small or one where  

children congregate. A school or a park perhaps.  Moon and Cross are a Knight's move from Child,  

suggesting the burden of balancing work  with child-rearing responsibilities.  

So that takes us to the third column.  That's Cross, Heart, and Crossroad. That's  

suffering, passion, and choices. This trio  drives home the point that you will have some  

tough decisions to make this week regarding  what is important in your life. The downward  

diagonal. That's Moon, Garden, Crossroad. Work,  public places and spaces, and choices. You have  

some choices to make regarding where you work.  As *where* you actually perform your job duties.  

And here's the upward diagonal. That's Key,  Garden, Cross. Important, public places or spaces,  

and burden. A similar message to the ones we've  already covered: Consider your environment and how  

that places a strain on your lifestyle and your  responsibilities. In summary, the week of January  

3rd 2022 is going to be focused on important  choices needed regarding parents returning to  

work and leaving their kids at school or other  public places. For those without children,  

you can expect to re-evaluate long-distance  travel for work and the actual environment  

where you perform your job duties. In national  news, I expect to hear of a new hazard in schools  

and/or playgrounds. Quite possibly at a  kindergarten. (Literally a child garden!)  

And that is: Risky choices imposed on those  who work with children. Not a particularly  

auspicious reading to start off the new year,  but hey, that's just what the cards said to me
