[21]
gonna help boost your productivity in, and out of the office. Hi if you're new
[26]
here, welcome, for the best career, and project management advice,
[30]
subscribe to my channel, hit that belt button, and a new videos gonna come to you
[34]
every Wednesday, and in this video I'm gonna give you four virtual team bonding
[40]
activities that help break the monotony of remote business meetings, not only
[45]
that, they actually give some connectivity for your team's, because you
[48]
get to know a little bit more about them too, so if you could use this, give this
[53]
video a thumbs up, and let's get to it. The really cool thing about these
[58]
virtual team bonding activities is that, you can do them at the beginning of your
[62]
meeting, you can actually interject them throughout your meeting, or if you have a
[65]
standard meeting with the same people, you actually can split it out over time,
[70]
over multiple meetings, it's really going to be up to you, that is a cool thing
[73]
with all these activities, so on that note, let's do the first one.
[78]
Virtual team-building activity number one cutie pie, alright, this is just
[84]
all-around fun, so what you do is, you ask everyone who is going to be attending
[90]
the meeting to send to you in advance, if you're the meeting facilitator, pictures
[94]
of them when they were babies, now what you do is, when they come in you actually
[98]
interject them in the PowerPoint, so you take little snippets, everyone kind of
[102]
gets their own page, so that you can forward the PowerPoint to each person,
[106]
and you can do it as a round-robin, so when you kick off your meeting, hey guys
[109]
I have something fun for you, remember those baby pictures, let's guess who is
[113]
whom and you put up a picture, and then you can even do a round-robin, or
[117]
people can shout out, I think it's so and so, here, that person, or if you're not
[122]
shouting things out, you can even put it in the little messenger portion of all
[126]
virtual meetings, right, those little chat rooms, so what a fun way to
[130]
start it off, and again, a great way to get to know how people
[134]
were when they were tiny, it actually opens up and leads to other
[136]
conversations after the meeting. Virtual team-building activity number two, once
[141]
upon a time, okay this one is excellent when you want to bring about creativity
[145]
and people, and I'm letting you know, it brings about fits of laughter as well,
[150]
so as a facilitator, you're gonna let the team know sort of the ground rules,
[153]
you're gonna build a story, that's a fictional story, something to have a
[156]
lot of fun, and you're gonna do it in a round robin fashion, which means every
[160]
person is gonna have a chance in this, in sequential order, but the key is, you
[165]
have to build the story, and have it come to a conclusion by the time it reaches
[169]
the last person, so you don't want to leave that last person hanging where
[173]
they're scrambling to actually finish up the story, and you
[176]
only have a sentence, that's it, one sentence, so it is hilarious, and just a
[182]
great way to bring about creativity, and prep people particularly if you're
[186]
having a virtual brainstorming session, or if you just want to have some fun
[190]
collectively as a group, so you kick it off as a facilitator by saying, once upon
[195]
a time there was a boy, and then the next person goes and goes, it is hilarious I
[201]
highly recommend this one. Super easy virtual team-building activity number
[207]
three, and that is last word response, okay, so like the previous exercise, you
[212]
can do this in a round robin fashion, and what I mean by that again is, whoever is
[216]
speaking, the next person in line is gonna be the person to the
[220]
left or the right, however you go about doing this, and then you just go around
[223]
the room in that fashion, so it's very sequential, but the whole purpose of this
[227]
one, is to really practice active listening, why, because we all know in
[232]
meetings we get distracted, and sometimes we're not focusing on what people are
[235]
saying, and it is critical in a virtual meeting to be really focusing on what
[239]
people are saying, you're not together in a room, and it's really easy to get
[243]
distracted, so with this particular exercise you can pick any topic, like hey,
[247]
how was your weekend, or what are you gonna be working on, or whatever that may
[251]
be, and the person speaks, and the person next to them is supposed to take in the
[256]
last sentence, or the last few words, depending on how it's said, and integrate
[261]
that into their story, so it becomes really interesting, or
[266]
what they're saying, so it becomes really interesting, you really have to listen to
[268]
what is being said, so you can take that information and ensure you kickoff your
[273]
story with that information that was just said, okay, last but not least,
[278]
virtual team-building activity number four, and that is three truths 1 lie, ok,
[285]
I've actually done this one before with you, but it is such an easy one to bring
[290]
into virtual team meetings, and what a great way to get to know your team a
[294]
little bit more, so what you do is, everyone is supposed to tell the group
[298]
three truths about them, and one lie, mix it all up, and everyone is supposed to
[302]
guess which one is the lie, this is a lot of fun, and again, you can introduce
[307]
this throughout your meeting, or you can do it in the beginning of your meeting,
[310]
or, you can space it throughout multiple meetings, but what a great and
[314]
fun way to get to know your team members a little bit better, ok, now that you know
[320]
how to have some fun with your virtual team meetings by doing these
[324]
team-building activities, guess what, I want you to go to the link below and
[329]
grab my master productivity hack checklist, and how you can knock
[335]
productivity out of the park, don't forget to subscribe to my channel, like this video,

[346]

[350]
productivity, personally and professionally, so on that note, let me

[358]
recommend, please put them in the comments below, I would love to hear from
[362]
