hello ladies and gentlemen welcome to my channel聽 my name is george kingori i'm your online finance聽聽
[6]
guy who speaks about all things finance i can be聽 able to save invest and grow in your financial聽聽
[12]
journey and today i'm going to speak about how聽 to make millions and i say again millions from聽聽
[20]
commodities trading yes food commodities trading聽 in kenya and when i talk about food commodities i聽聽
[27]
speak about maize i speak about things i speak聽 about cereals and grains i speak about flowers聽聽
[34]
and all agricultural commodities that you聽 could make money from and when i think about聽聽
[40]
making money from ethic i talk about trading these聽 commodities not the actual farming so how do you聽聽
[47]
go about making money from this before i tell you聽 how to go about making money from this let me give聽聽
[53]
you a glimpse of the commodities market status聽 in kenya the first thing is that food commodities聽聽
[61]
are over produced in certain areas and are聽 produced in certain areas and they are poorly聽聽
[68]
stored that means that sometimes there is a glut聽 in the market and a lot of food products and聽聽
[74]
food commodities are actually produced and these聽 food commodities are produced and cannot be well聽聽
[80]
stored and so are affected sometimes by weevils聽 that are affected by pests and affected by聽聽
[87]
contamination of aflatoxins and things like聽 that so there's a challenge in the way these聽聽
[92]
commodities are actually stored again because聽 these commodities are sometimes grown in specific聽聽
[98]
regions there could be a glut in the market yes聽 there could be more than considerable production聽聽
[105]
of these commodities in a specific area and there聽 could be lack of these commodities in another area聽聽
[110]
then the other thing that compounds this聽 uh problem is the transportation problem聽聽
[116]
sometimes is difficult in transporting food聽 commodities that are abandoned in certain areas聽聽
[122]
but are more abundant in other areas it聽 could because of rain it will also be聽聽
[126]
because of poor road network and things聽 like that and the other thing is that聽聽
[131]
these food commodities prices can be significantly聽 different in specific areas within the country for聽聽
[137]
example in nairobi a kilo of gram of beans could聽 be for example a hundred kenya shillings the same聽聽
[146]
kg of beans could be 40 shillings somewhere聽 in kitui so one place is 40 shillings another聽聽
[154]
place is 100 shillings and there's a lot of聽 differences in prizes i will share websites聽聽
[160]
where you can be able to see the commodities聽 prices every single day every single month聽聽
[166]
and the statistical data this data is can聽 be found in opendata.ke it can also be found聽聽
[173]
in the kenya bureau of statistics website where聽 they publish this commodity prices so where do you聽聽
[179]
make your money with these specific situations聽 the first thing is you need to identify specific聽聽
[187]
locations these kind of locations where you could聽 be able to set up silos you could be able to set聽聽
[192]
up good storage facilities you could be able to聽 buy so you could be able to say set up in every聽聽
[199]
every savory province have like one where you're聽 able to store huge amounts of this grain and聽聽
[205]
cereal products so when that specific place has an聽 overproduction and there's a glass in the market聽聽
[213]
and there's so many people who are selling聽 the same product in the same area you could聽聽
[218]
overbuy this product and store in your silo that聽 is located in that specific region again because聽聽
[226]
you are doing it as a large scale and you are聽 good at it you are going to do a very good storage聽聽
[232]
facilities that could be able to help you store聽 this grain for longer so you store well you have聽聽
[239]
geographical locations that are scattered and you聽 have good facilities then you buy in bulk in the聽聽
[245]
specific way that's where it is cheap then again聽 because you have access to this statistical data聽聽
[252]
you will be able to identify where this specific聽 grain or this product specific produce is needed聽聽
[258]
and it is fetching a higher price then because聽 you are in the process of trading you could be聽聽
[264]
able to identify where the pack markets are and聽 who is going to buy in those markets and be able聽聽
[271]
as you see it be able to identify people who are聽 going to of take this grain from your stores in a聽聽
[277]
specific location to a specific location in which聽 case you could be able to identify for example if聽聽
[283]
the price that you bought this product is聽 40 shillings for example the cost of storage聽聽
[290]
and transportation to the silo is聽 say 5 shillings so the total cost聽聽
[294]
at the silo is 45 shillings put another five聽 shillings for for security and other additional聽聽
[299]
incidentals so 50 shillings is what is your cost聽 but the same grain is needed in a certain location聽聽
[306]
that is going to be sold at 100 so if you're going聽 to transport uh this product and you have been聽聽
[314]
able to square down the cost of transportation聽 down to the kilogram and identify say for example聽聽
[319]
10 shillings for transportation from this location聽 to that location where you could be able to get聽聽
[324]
this good market then your product to the market聽 will be 60 shillings and the 40 shillings will聽聽
[332]
be the profit that you would make by selling聽 off your product to the market and remember聽聽
[337]
because you're selling off in bulk you will sell聽 off and then you'll be able to get your money聽聽
[343]
but this is not where it ends again the places聽 where you are selling your product could聽聽
[349]
also have a market glad in another product聽 in that area there could be a lot in say a聽聽
[356]
maze be sold beans there but there could be a聽 lot of maize there then again you do the same聽聽
[361]
and you could be able to square down to a science聽 where you are your tracks and your silos always聽聽
[367]
feeling green with the grain that is available聽 and transporting to the place where it is needed聽聽
[372]
and buying back and your tracks will never be not聽 carrying anything and you'll be able to square it聽聽
[379]
down to a point where you could be able to make聽 profit just sitting because all you need is a聽聽
[384]
data which is available the other thing that you聽 need is a silo suite you can invest in the other聽聽
[390]
thing you need is a transportation you which you聽 can be able to leverage to be able to get a good聽聽
[396]
amount of money so one day you sell a thousand聽 kilograms at 40 shillings profit and you have made聽聽
[404]
for example forty thousand shillings with one聽 lorry you have ten you make four hundred thousand聽聽
[412]
again on the return trip you buy there and you聽 sell here and because you have sellers that聽聽
[417]
have distributed elsewhere you just need a good聽 computer system or a good software package that聽聽
[422]
will be able to help you identify where you can聽 be able to sell and be able to interlink this data聽聽
[428]
with the operating system or your program to聽 be able to identify when to buy when to sell聽聽
[434]
where to buy where to sell where your lorries聽 could take advantage of being located or having聽聽
[440]
transported something and you could be able to聽 make a profit it is very simple it just needs a聽聽
[446]
lot of thinking a lot of initial investments in聽 silos and a lot of calls and market research but聽聽
[454]
you could be able to square it to a science聽 and be able to make a lot of money i will show聽聽
[459]
you documents that will be able to show you the聽 differences in prices and some of them are quite聽聽
[464]
staggering the prices of commodities could be聽 more than double in specific locations and a lot聽聽
[470]
cheaper up to 40 percent less than others in other聽 locations this is the way you could be able to do聽聽
[478]
profitably by trading commodities not farming聽 which could be riskier but trading these聽聽
[484]
commodities again you could provide a ready聽 market to farmers again you could be able to聽聽
[490]
sell a product to locations where this product聽 is lacking so you are not only creating supply聽聽
[495]
chains but you are making a good profit聽 in return i hope that you are learning you聽聽
[501]
are growing and on your way to making you聽 millions so thank you and enjoy your day
