bricks? simply saying Databricks is a unified analytics platform

compared to traditional聽warehouse system now employees can perform聽聽

different data related tasks on a unified聽analytics platform instead of using a lot of

of data really works that's my understanding聽聽

so i always read customer success stories on the聽
website to understand their technologies better聽聽

and one of the customers says that Databricks is聽
just not only about using data more efficiently聽聽

but after using Databricks the way they work聽
becomes way more collaborative which leads them聽聽

now let's talk about why databricks is an聽
interesting company? they have seven founders and聽聽

they are from Berkeley researchers so initially聽
they were not interested in starting a business聽聽

and also they were not interested in making a聽
revenue on the tech and why i think Databricks is聽聽

a great company to join for you guys especially聽
now is because they are planning to go on ipo聽聽

really soon i'm not sure when and how but that's聽
what the media says and that seems to be true聽聽

so so why does it matter? so let me give an example聽
so one of the companies that i was working for聽聽

in Singapore when i joined the company聽
they were already a public company they聽聽

are a public company but they were a聽
public company when i joined the company聽聽

but their stock price was like 35 or 40 when i joined聽
the company i can't remember 100% correctly but聽聽

within three years their stock price went up to聽
almost 200 dollars and it's now is more than 200聽聽

why does it matter to you? because when you聽
are joining a company there are many ways聽聽

you can negotiate right but at the same time Databricks features on the latest edition of Forbes聽聽

they are hiring a lot of employees all over the world

about how to prepare for an interview at Databricks

okay so whether you're looking for a聽
job in sales, marketing, engineer, HR, finance, IT

so from my understanding when i visited their聽聽

website i can see that they value three things聽
okay so first customer obsessed this means they聽聽

are very very customer centric company number two聽
Data. let the Data decide okay they believe in Data聽聽

so they let Data make a decision okay聽
so you need to know that okay data is聽聽

very very important for Databricks.
number three collaboration they value聽聽

teamwork and collaboration so when you are聽
applying for a job a Databricks know there's聽聽

three values and make sure to pitch these three聽
keywords when you are in an interview so that way聽聽

value these three things so one of the marketing聽聽

a someone who can decide data-driven strategies聽聽

okay so i can see that more and more companies聽
are hiring people who have critical thinking聽聽

and innovative thinking so this is very natural聽
in a way because now technologies are evolving聽聽

right even data engineer data scientists data聽
analysts companies want to hire people who have聽聽

critical thinking skills meaning they want to hire聽
people who can actually make the best decision聽聽

when they're looking at data right? it's not only聽
about data jobs only like sales, marketing, HR, IT, 聽聽

finance, all across the departments聽
they want to hire people who know聽聽

how important data is and who know how聽
data works you don't really need to have聽聽

in-depth knowledge like data engineers聽
data analysts and data scientists however聽聽

knowing a little bit about data will give you聽
a lot of competitiveness and you're going to聽聽

also as a business owner a solopreneur 聽
