Hey, guys, I'm back now today I'm gonna go and talk about how to win a chargeback
[5]
for any merchant or payment gateways like PayPal, Stripe, Authorized.net Chase
[11]
Pay whatever merchant you use (okay) so you know so I'm going to teach you how to
[15]
break it down and make sure that you win the chargeback it's possible I'm won
[19]
many many chargebacks
[21]
[Music intro]
[30]
now a chargeback is when a customer files a report with
[34]
their credit card or debit card company saying hey it's fraudulent its duplicate
[38]
purchase and things like that now it happens now
[41]
charge backs and refunds are part of doing a business now but sometimes you
[45]
know when you get a charge back for something let's say you made a website
[48]
for somebody right you gave them the website now you got a charge back now
[53]
you know how that feels it feels really bad because you gave them the product
[57]
you worked hard for it right and then you know they hit you with a charge back
[62]
when you get a charge back you have to pay the initial principal fee and plus
[67]
the charge back fee service fee as well so for example right so it depends on
[73]
the merchants as well let's say you're a mount our stores fact was hundred
[77]
dollars okay now some merchants have that have that $40 fee to fight back or
[83]
you know and create that communication when there's a dispute or charge back so
[87]
you end up paying like you know a forty bucks more for a hundred dollar product
[92]
or let's say you sold a ten dollar product and guess what
[95]
you get a charge back and you have to pay 50 bucks does that make sense it
[101]
doesn't make sense I'm gonna show you I'm gonna teach you how to win a charge
[105]
back okay now let's talk about PayPal first a lot of you guys are selling
[110]
things on PayPal now if you're selling something on PayPal and get that dispute
[114]
or charge back you can do a couple of things okay you're gonna call up PayPal
[118]
ring ring ring ring ring it's paid what's with PayPal right ring ring ring
[122]
ring ring when the someone somebody picks it up you're gonna say hey yes
[125]
you're gonna give your information again say hey I was talking to another agent
[129]
you weren't I was talking to another agent and she said that according to
[133]
you're according to P Palestine in attempts of condition you guys don't
[137]
support you guys don't cover the digital products if it isn't a product right
[143]
when you say that guys say yes what happens is whenever you sell a digital
[148]
product through PayPal they don't cover that so when you call them and say hey
[152]
you know it's a little product I'll give you your money back in a second now if
[157]
if the product is actually tangible or shipping and things like that
[162]
here's what I recommend so let's say you build a website for somebody through
[166]
PayPal or for the strike whatever right what I want you to do from now on is you
[171]
know just get an envelope and put a receipt inside it and mail it to them
[174]
now that will serve as a proof of delivery it's just in case okay so every
[180]
time I do a business and you know I'm doing a transaction for over $10,000 I
[184]
make sure we send them a receipt right in the cash yes so every time so it
[190]
costs to buy like a dollar or to get a certified mail so make sure you get that
[194]
delivery proof meaning that tracking ID so in case they file for a chargeback
[198]
you have that proof thing hey and deliver the product that the customer
[202]
paid me for so you have that proof so keep that in mind so well you know start
[207]
you know sending out receipts to avoid those chargeback now let's say you get
[211]
hit by a chargeback shrine authorize.net PayPal with credit card right you get
[216]
that what do you do how do you fight it okay number one okay you're gonna create
[220]
this PDF document okay you can't be you know uploading bunch of images that's
[225]
that doesn't work that way so what's happening here is whenever you submit
[229]
that evidence a bank professional who loves their customer remember you're not
[235]
declined their client is that guy who paid that money they don't wanna have to
[240]
say no to that guy they already gave him his money back they don't want to have
[244]
to put that money you know debit money out of that his account already so he
[249]
loves so for example I'm a bank guy I love my customer I'm not I don't want to
[252]
have to say no no no no no let's not do this I want to say my customer better so
[258]
but they have to follow rules so they have to follow regulations so you're
[262]
gonna draft your evidence in a way so it's professional number one
[267]
upload bunch of pictures it doesn't work you're gonna create one PDF okay one PDF
[272]
on the top you're gonna go ahead and write down your address your information
[277]
your phone number email and description of what the purchase was okay second
[283]
line you're gonna say proof included number one email communication okay
[288]
number two IP logs so number one is you know try to take a screen shots of every
[294]
communication that you have had with the with the you know buyer text messages
[298]
you know emails LinkedIn man put it all together right and then put it on that
[303]
pedia but you have to outline it mean you have to make you look like a book
[306]
sort of ride me guess it's like a book so number one evidence okay number two
[311]
IP locks now this is very important now a lot of a lot of you know companies
[316]
let's say you're selling something right and are you actually you know logging in
[321]
people's IP address now we do now we do salesforce does direct pay does and if
[326]
you a lot of jvzoo click they all do it they do it for a reason because once
[330]
somebody you know if you're selling a digital product right you want to be you
[334]
wanna track that their IP address to see hey they did download my product that
[338]
serves as an evidence so if you're not doing that already
[341]
you should okay that's number two now number two right number two if you sold
[346]
a digital you know I mean actual physical you know goods make sure you
[351]
know you track it if you do that you'll be fine even the credit card companies
[355]
all they want to see is did they actually mail out that product if you
[359]
did you'll be good you're gonna have problems when you're selling digital
[362]
items because it's not it's not easy to track it right for that reason always
[366]
hire transactions for me it's ten thousand right for you it could be a
[370]
hundred dollars it could be whatever amount it could be $1000 for somebody
[373]
else so put that a limit and if somebody goes over that make sure to make sure to
[379]
you know send them a receipt through mail if possible okay so number one is
[383]
sending receipt through mail number two is IP locks and number of
[386]
course number one I think number one is you know email communication IP logs and
[390]
things like that so if you put that all together and you know at the end of the
[395]
PDF make sure to provide information you know how they can reach out to you
[400]
if they need it right and if you put that kind of information in you should
[404]
be good so yeah that's how you fight a chargeback don't be uploading all those
[408]
images like a lot of people do because I spoke to a friend who is an actual bank
[412]
manager at Chase right he gets these all the time he's like you know most of the
[417]
time people are just uploading pictures PNG JPEG like 15 I don't have time to
[423]
look at look over that I've already refunded my clients right I stay with it
[428]
okay so make sure you send those information that's how you file in a
[434]
file fight a charge back
