and true boardrooms with you. This month we聽聽

want to focus on the trade wars that is聽
impacting the planet, Global 500 chairmen,聽聽

what should you be thinking about, how P&L will聽
be affected, shareholder concerns with everything聽聽
[26]
being disrupted, and we will also look at required聽
boardroom referrals in your network. I'll talk聽聽
[32]
about it at the end of the video. President Trump聽
has been tweeting on social media and speaking聽聽
[38]
publicly, has been traveling, meeting some of聽
the Allies in G7 meeting, and has been talking聽聽
[45]
about the Canadian Prime Minister, one of our聽
strongest allies European Union as a foe recently,聽聽
[50]
as an enemy, against German Chancellor聽
Angela Merkel, and [the] Chinese premier,聽聽
[58]
and the list goes on, and now we're sitting at聽
just today, the world trade or China complained聽聽
[65]
to the World Trade Organization about the聽
tariffs being implemented more than 200 billion,聽聽
[69]
and this is just getting started. Boardrooms need聽
to understand that. What does that mean? First of聽聽
[76]
all, it's going to be increased board war room聽
work. Your board is going to be suffering a lot聽聽
[83]
more hours into figuring this out, and your P&L is聽
going to be affected under IFRS global accounting,聽聽
[90]
revenue from contracts - how to recognize them,聽
you know, you have in your supply chains contracts聽聽
[98]
already established, and your raw materials are聽
going to be really more expensive, your CFO and聽聽
[103]
boardroom needs to figure these things out,聽
and really understand how to maneuver this.聽聽

Mergers and acquisitions are definitely going to聽
be challenged. Qualcomm, as an example in China,聽聽
[116]
is when you go try to get this approved聽
for two years, and the deadline is reached,聽聽
[120]
and the Chinese government is challenging it or聽
holding on to it because of the trade war. Xiaomi,聽聽
[127]
one of the biggest manufacturers of mobile聽
phones in China just premiered IPO in Hong Kong,聽聽
[133]
and its CEO even said, you know, this trade war is聽
impacting their valuation. It was supposed to be聽聽
[140]
100 billion, came out to be only 50 billion, that聽
was just 2 days ago. And from the nationalistic聽聽
[147]
agenda, governments are going to be challenging聽
US companies. SAP 500 growth is going to be聽聽
[153]
slowed off, and it's going to eventually lead to聽
layoffs. What else is going to occur? Short term聽聽
[158]
versus Long term. Boards need to focus on the long聽
term versus [the] short term. Growth is going to聽聽
[165]
be declined, revenue is definitely going to be聽
hitting it, stock prices will be factored in. We聽聽
[169]
haven't had a major correction, [a] financial聽
crisis. I've been talking within my network. An聽聽
[175]
economist I agree with the thought that within the聽
next three years we will have a financial crisis,聽聽
[180]
much bigger, different than last year's.聽
Shareholder buybacks will increase because we have聽聽
[186]
to innovate somehow and we have to give a return聽
to the shareholders. Long-term ESG environmental聽聽
[192]
concerns sustainability is the focus for major聽
corporations, but short term versus long term,聽聽
[199]
you need to plan this out. My advice to聽
boardrooms, this is going to be very fluid,聽聽
[204]
very fast. Every day is a new tariff in your聽
millions, billions, in billions of dollars,聽聽
[210]
and against every country. I don't think any聽
countries exempt from the US trade war. That聽聽
[215]
means translates to increased board work for you,聽
more man-hours, CEO compensation, asthmalilian's聽聽
[221]
are the largest workforce and distinction between聽
CEO compensation and the average worker is going聽聽
[228]
to be the forefront of companies that start聽
laying off people. Contingent planning's,聽聽
[232]
NATO planning, working with your CFO, this is聽
one of my recommendations. Boardroom referrals.聽聽
