the problem with all of us the problem
[1]
with that I was having in my life was
[4]
that I was looking for excellence
[6]
everywhere outside but my personal
[8]
concern about my excellence and what I
[10]
was doing was zero although I was an
[11]
iron bangle graduate I started taking
[13]
the card again and again and that's what
[15]
built the record of actually cracking
[17]
these 18 times every time with a 99.9
[20]
plus percent there my books on cat are
[22]
kind of the Bible's in that segment now
[25]
everybody studies them when I look at
[27]
helping people do it I realized that
[30]
anybody at any point in life can
[32]
actually pick up these four things and
[35]
change who is nyle of nayika Hanyu or
[40]
nay seek joe stocks android app per
[42]
download carry avi thank you thank you
[45]
everyone
[47]
today I'm here to talk to you about
[50]
success it's a word that draws a lot of
[54]
reactions and it basically draws two
[57]
stories if you look around yourself I
[60]
put the Kegel ki aapke up K round
[64]
Dothraki success stories flick Iranian
[67]
the first story is one where a student
[73]
starts school starts topping his class
[76]
right from nursery kg first second third
[78]
and remains the continuous topper going
[81]
into tenth becomes a boat top we're
[83]
going to 12 becomes a boat topper open
[86]
hella competitive X out not that I had
[88]
and he tops that exam goes into a great
[91]
college like an IIT or a top medical
[93]
college in India or whatever he chooses
[95]
and from there that life his his or her
[99]
life just takes off and there is no
[101]
stopping him
[102]
the second story is the one I am going
[106]
to talk about today and that's much more
[110]
relevant for all of us because all of us
[113]
do not belong to that category hi this
[116]
is Arnold Sharma Here I am I am
[120]
Bangalore graduate and there's a story
[122]
behind that the focus or the gist of the
[126]
talk I want to give you are about four
[129]
takeaways that create
[133]
second so success story and if you want
[136]
to make it in your life and you do not
[139]
belong to that first category of people
[140]
who took off right from the education
[143]
and you still want to take off in your
[146]
life I'm going to give you four
[148]
takeaways at the end of this session
[152]
where you will get specific significant
[157]
tools which you can use to change
[160]
anything any dimension of your personal
[163]
success story and create your own
[164]
stories so what is that second second
[167]
success story your story ki historia que
[172]
bandha and normal sir what my school no
[175]
could achieve that lets get
[178]
teachers Gradney right there they don't
[180]
know who is who ten date I had a normal
[184]
Concord I could quick way spark through
[187]
his own whole building of his life may
[190]
adhere and suddenly kooky C point web
[195]
nap water around Goethe when I was in
[197]
school in college I was a very very
[200]
ordinary student
[202]
I'm coffee I may forget school and board
[205]
and all those things apply section go
[206]
talk maker today and yet today I have
[211]
sold close to three million books my
[215]
book son cat are kind of the Bible's in
[218]
that segment now everybody studies them
[220]
what are the components of the story how
[222]
do you turn yourself around you are a
[224]
normal individual up case in the gimmick
[227]
with great cheese near her belly be
[229]
Salma yes Amira store ether as I look
[231]
back I realized that there were four
[235]
vacuums in my life for the first twenty
[238]
years and the moment I started realizing
[241]
about these vacuums and I started
[243]
filling them my life started changing
[245]
around and turning around so much so
[248]
that today when I look at myself or I
[251]
look at anybody around me and my I
[254]
specialize as a teacher my speciality is
[256]
in turning around people's lives
[258]
when I look at helping people do it I
[261]
realized that anybody at any point in
[263]
life can actually pick up these four
[265]
things and change
[267]
the first one as they went through
[270]
school in college I realized in in
[274]
hindsight that the first vacuum in my
[278]
life was the vacuum of a challenge so if
[282]
I look at my own challenge history and
[283]
you can do this for yourself also my
[287]
challenge history through my entire
[288]
entire academic career till I was 21
[290]
years of age was society told me that
[294]
you should do it well in 10th I got a
[297]
target from my family that you have to
[301]
get more than 80% in 10th
[302]
I got an 81% and I succeeded when I do
[308]
meet these 12th I again got a target
[310]
keep 10 Sajjad Alanna get more than 10th
[313]
I got 82 I succeeded but my life did not
[317]
go anywhere and the first time my life
[320]
changed or started to change was when I
[323]
picked up a challenge to actually make
[326]
it to the IOM's
[327]
nobody from my college had ever made it
[329]
at that time and when I decided that
[332]
I'll take up the challenge my first
[335]
vacuum started getting filled in my life
[337]
and I made sure that from then on this
[340]
vacuum of a challenge never came into my
[341]
life you see what was the problem with
[344]
those first two challenges I picked up
[345]
was that I was always focused or doing
[349]
things that society was telling me to do
[352]
the moment I started changing that and
[355]
the moment I started putting myself
[358]
behind doing something which would
[360]
change who I was a challenge is defined
[364]
by two characteristics it should be
[366]
audacious it should be close to
[368]
impossible from where you think about it
[370]
anything else is not a challenge so if
[373]
you're not picking up auditions
[374]
challenges in life that's the first
[376]
reason maybe you've never succeeded in
[377]
life and that's what I realized
[381]
so once at each time from there again
[386]
started I started a journey of as an
[388]
entrepreneur as a passed-out because I
[391]
did not want to work in the corporate
[392]
world life was cushy in the corporate
[394]
world but I decided that I'll be a
[396]
entrepreneur and then the knock started
[398]
again because then you start
[399]
entrepreneurship
[401]
it doesn't work very easily and that is
[404]
when I started realizing that there were
[407]
two three more things that I was doing
[409]
wrong due to which I was not succeeding
[412]
and I see that happening across now as a
[416]
success coach as a person who helps
[417]
people succeed in whatever they do these
[420]
are the three things that I advise
[422]
everyone to do the second vacuum that is
[424]
seen in people is the vacuum of
[426]
excellence people pick up challenges but
[430]
they don't define the excellence that
[434]
they need to do to achieve those
[436]
challenges so for instance in my own
[440]
personal life when I became a teacher
[441]
when I decided to be a teacher and I was
[444]
struggling in my own life they should
[447]
that did arise and how do I make it big
[450]
from what I was doing and as I always
[455]
tell people and how well you do your
[458]
work is the only thing that counts so as
[462]
a teacher when I was trying to train
[464]
people for the CAD exam and other
[465]
aptitude exams I realized that one of
[468]
the things that I need to do is I need
[470]
to get inside these exams that I need to
[471]
know because if I have to execute
[472]
excellence in my classes in my classroom
[475]
then I defined one thing at that time I
[477]
was teaching in Patna and nobody had
[481]
heard of for about CAD from Patna and I
[486]
I took a decision in my life that if I'm
[490]
teaching a topic or or doing a session
[492]
on personality or whatever I was doing
[496]
staying there in Patna I had to be the
[501]
best in the country and I had to be as
[503]
good as her to be and as that decision
[506]
that that forced me to then start
[508]
deciding the defined range training for
[510]
the cat if I am training people to to
[512]
qualify these exams I need to understand
[515]
what these exams are and although I was
[518]
and I am Bangalore graduate I started
[519]
taking the cat again and again and
[521]
that's what builds a record of actually
[524]
cracking these eighteen times every time
[526]
with a 99.9 Plus percentile
[528]
but everything from 99.9 3 299.99 every
[534]
year the problem with all of us the
[537]
problem with that I was having in my
[538]
life was that I was looking for
[541]
excellence everywhere outside
[543]
I wanted my prime minister to be
[545]
excellent
[546]
I wanted the waiter in the in the hotel
[549]
to be excellent if he was not excellent
[551]
at what he was doing I'd be very
[553]
concerned about his excellence but my
[556]
personal concern about my excellence and
[557]
what I was doing was zero so just invert
[560]
this and this vacuum will get filled
[564]
expect excellence from yourself and
[567]
accept mediocrity from others that's the
[570]
second vacuum and that led me to
[574]
understanding the third and the fourth
[576]
vacuum when I started working and
[578]
started working towards doing things
[580]
better or doing things to the best of my
[583]
abilities there are times when you fail
[585]
not because you have not executed
[587]
excellence or not because you have not
[589]
picked up a challenge but there are
[591]
times where you fail because you have
[594]
not learned or not improve the ability
[598]
to the level where you need to be it is
[602]
in that context that your learning
[604]
cycles in life after your graduation of
[608]
a school and college gets over becomes
[611]
the most important take off point from
[613]
you for you and this is one of the
[615]
critical aspects that most people
[617]
maximum great logo may very strong
[621]
learning ability of that you just look
[623]
at a video of such an Tendulkar batting
[625]
when he was 18 28 and 38 and you'll know
[628]
what I mean how that guy learned or how
[631]
anybody any great person learns and
[632]
unlock a life may you're learning a
[635]
vacuum is one of the biggest vacuum some
[638]
logo potential tie after we wore a
[641]
school in college he heard salvaged
[643]
cassock now how do i improve myself on a
[645]
day to day basis so we do not have a
[647]
learning curriculum but learning is the
[650]
fine fine tunings of things about how
[652]
you do your work better so in the domain
[656]
you decide humor go here come karna
[658]
whose dimension McAllen is required
[662]
if I want to be a mountaineer and I have
[664]
not good at climbing mountains or my
[667]
physical abilities are not good I have
[669]
to change it just excellence and
[672]
challenges will not suffice to be
[674]
successful so that's the third vacuum
[678]
you need to fill in your life be a
[680]
lifelong learner keep learning keep
[683]
setting agendas for becoming the better
[685]
version of yourself and then once these
[688]
three vacuums are filled you will see
[690]
the fourth rack human people
[691]
so you'll find people around you who are
[693]
great in everything you'll see a person
[695]
who just go up called a Vega de que que
[697]
tuvo this guy's got such great skills
[699]
but it's got profile there hope you
[701]
asked about it at the COBE achievement
[703]
they cover the luego sneakers man and
[705]
that's where the fourth vacuum comes in
[707]
if you fill this fourth vacuum you end
[712]
up transforming yourself in whatever
[714]
dimension do you want to be and the
[716]
fourth vacuum is the vacuum of doing and
[719]
this is again a big problem with most
[722]
people they will take care of the first
[724]
three without doing the requisite work
[726]
so I see a lot of people come to me I
[729]
want to take up cat I want to do this in
[731]
my life but when it comes to doing their
[734]
work the quality of the work and the
[737]
quality of the doing is zero so I want
[741]
to build a bridge across the river I
[743]
pick up the challenge but I don't do it
[744]
it's going to be ending as a useless
[747]
outcome and I'm not going to get the
[749]
outcomes so this were the components of
[753]
the second success story you've done
[755]
nothing in your life you've not achieved
[757]
anything great in any great achievements
[759]
or outcomes in your life and yet you can
[761]
start picking up your life from this
[762]
point and change yourself transform who
[765]
you are by taking these for circular
[768]
roots first the vacuum of a challenge
[773]
fill that second the vacuum of
[776]
excellence start looking for excellence
[779]
inside yourself only expect and accept
[782]
excellence from yourself hit the Madrid
[784]
in yourself third the vacuum of learning
[788]
make sure you find out what you need to
[790]
learn in the dimensions of what you
[793]
define who you are as
[795]
because that's the most critical aspect
[798]
of becoming a better person of better
[801]
version of yourself and the fourth and
[803]
the final is the doing the circle closes
[807]
by the doing of what you need to do
[810]
please remember this is the most
[812]
critical part of the four dimensions
[815]
that is going to create this story for
[818]
you the second story as we talked about
[820]
the doing deep inside you might be the
[825]
same great kid you always were but
[829]
please remember it is not what you are
[832]
underneath that counts what defines you
[835]
is what you do and that's the only thing
[838]
that counts thank you so much
