Ladies and gentle man , In this video I'm going to tell you

the different career option that, You can choose

that wil give you a chance to earn money with traveling

When I left my job

And thought that if ,Influence marketing won't work for me

So, all these job will be my backup

So, I wanted to share all that knowledge with you guys

But the disclaimer is that you won't be getting rewards from Day 1.

Then you'll be able to travel fulltime. So, Lets go !

You have to develop skills, As you do in any other career

So, this was where I was sitting now recording the video

And since, auto pair was on so it focuses on my face But this is the view

Just behind me from where, i am recording the video

And this the restaurant area we often call it as terrace area where we have food

I will sit here again and tell you guys that what all career option you can choose.

So number on my list is of course travel blogging, I started as a travel blogger

And it’s very tough industry, I’ll be very honest

Initially, I think till six months we didn’t even earn peanuts

We were not able to earn this much and are full time was consumed in writing blogs

You can check out my blog to understand how we write, how you organize

But blogging will take a lot of time for you to be successful but it is an amazing platform

Because you can travel and can give that knowledge and your experiences through a blog to people to your readers

But, I feel Number two which I am right now

Youtube is one of the most epic things, that you can do.

Because you can create a video on anything You can create a video about your life

Maybe you can have a pet dog and you can create videos on that, And it gives you so much freedom to be creative

and make a video anywhere and everywhere and on any topic You want or you are interested or your passionate about,

So youtube is very amazing again. You will need some initial investment when you need a camera,

you need to do editing. Basic editing would also work on YouTube

You just need to find a storyline and YouTube is a very amazing platform

You can earn through ads also get brand sponsorships

In which brand pay you for promotional content to put in your video, which is amazing.

Again you can do this from anywhere which is the most kickass thing about youtube, And I love being a YouTuber.

By the way, people don’t know this there is another form of job

That you can do which is teaching English you have no idea, About the demand of English teacher in a foreign country

Especially in a country like Japan, South Korea where English teachers are paid very nicely

In fact I remember , when I went to Kirghizstan where we met a European family where we stayed for a day.

And they told us that their entire family have shifted on the basis of their English knowledge

Because in Kyrgyzstan, he was teaching English and they trying to find a permanent citizenship because they were living in Kyrgyzstan for a very long time

So,it is very much possible these are some of the websites that you can check.

If you want to work in this field , Just your English should be good and you can try in this industry

Let’s not even get started. When I left my job and went to Tarsar Marsar Trek, I was like okay I can be a trek leader

I can explore treks and instead of spending money, I can actually earn money.

Take people along and explore as many trek as possible but there is one person that I would like you guys to meet

who will tell about his experience as a trek leader. So this Leo who’s a -

It’s a nice way of life. Its been three years that I have been trek leading in Himalayas, now.

I started with being a green trails intern and I really like the idea of being up in the mountains

And taking people up and bringing them back. You know, there so much of joy you get when you bring people up on a mountain and take them back safely.

I have done 70 plus treks and I am a certified mountaineer and a basic mountaineer course I have done from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute

If you want to become a trek leader, then there are six different schools in our country , you can opt for.

I would recommend taking a- doing your basic mountaineering course , get your hands on , go on a trek yourself first, go on a Himalayan trek first if you want to get there.

And get a taste of what a high altitude trekking is. And then may be think , if this is something for you

And then you can choose for it. And there are a lot of organizations that opt trek leading as a career in our country.

But first , find your calling , if this is really your calling and then take it on.

Pondicherry Of course , My Pondicherry trip make me realize that, how awesome it is to be a diving instructor.

Off course, you need to invest in your initial months to acquire those skills. And then you can be a diving photographer and instructor.

So many things you can be and then basically you can go around the world and teach people and explore the place as well the underwater life.

In Temple adventures, I learned diving, open water and advance courses I have completed there

And there is another person, I would really like you guys to meet.

He is Macha. Macha is back. He is Nikhil you must have seen him in my Pondicherry vlog.

So, Macha you need to tell me that what you are and what you did in Pondicherry with temple adventure.

I like to call myself a biologist. So, I was in temple adventure as, an intern for temple re- foundation.

Okay, conservation front that temple adventure has so I worked with them towards fielding and similar ocean awareness activities, In returns,

I was offered a lot in terms of diving, diving course and so on.

So, when I started was as a basic open water student and then advance an advanced water student and then I have the certification in Nitrox, deep diving

Once you do this you are one step closer to the like- you know. A step closer to being a dive master if, you want to start earning .

Like by being a diver, you need a minimum of ‘Dive Master’ qualification. And there are some pre requisite for being a Dive master.

I am not a dive master yet but, I am very close to it. Once you are certified as a Dive Master, you’ll be able to assist the instructor. Okay, And that’s how you get paid.

You assist the instructor, as well you help out that all the daily activities at the dive centre.

And that’s the first step you can progress like your certification, can do your id seek which leads you the instructor level.

-[Radhika] You were telling me about Chirag, that how he worked for months with temple adventure and now he is going outside.

He did his dive master with temple adventure, pause with them and intern for almost four months. So, he completed his dive master with temple adventure

Now, he is planning to do his IDC. So he's doing it with one of the PADI centres in Spain.

So, he’ll be flying to Spain, to do his IDC, given that you know- the condition and the circumstances allow.

He’ll be exploring Spain and underwater life in Spain and side-side by side learning – 'How to dive'

That was my backup plan by the way. You know that, when I left my job, I was like, I thought, either be a very good skier or be a very good diver.

I got this idea from ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ ( Bollywood Movie) from Katrina Kaif.

Again I will give you a real example. So, there was since Bangalore girl I met who is again my instructor Abhshanmaya. She is teaching, she is a teacher, she is my teacher

And she came to Kashmir, she learned a bit of skiing. And then she again went to New Zealand state

Therefore, six months she learns, she learns skiing over there and explores New Zealand side by side

And now, she again came back to Kashmir, and she is teaching ,she is earning money through the skills.

She is able to ski as well as teach people as well as earn money as well as explore Kashmir and her plan is now to go to Europe.

Because of the high demand of ski instructors in Europe. There was another person I met in Kazakhstan

He used to travel for 6 months and work as a ski instructor for six months. He uses that money to travel. So, I think that’s cool.

So, this what my best friend has been doing ,Rachita Saxena. She is an excellent writer.

She had her ways with words, and she can write very beautifully, especially about travel.

And you can try this out because this will give you access and freedom to write from anywhere, you just need a laptop and good internet and you can do so.

And from anywhere, you just need to write article for travel websites and especially if you land for companies like BBC or Nat Geo and you start writing for them.

They will pay you very very very well. It is a very beautiful thing to give you a knowledge to such big platform.

Because travel websites always need content and also of blogger and content writers . And it is very easy to be a freelancer

You can check freelancer.com, you can check fiverr , you can check UpWork . Where all this freelancing gigs are usual to come.

And you can write newsletters, brochures, you can edit articles for them, write blog post there is so much to do.

So, these are the websites that you can check and you are good to go.

Next is travel tour guide. Especially when there is a high season for travel , then a tour guide is always in demand.

And if you are a person who is very much aware of a particular location.Then you can actually take people out and do this job.

Just check that whether you need a license or not for that particular job. In some jobs as a tour guide, you need a license to be a tour guide but,

You just need to know about the location, you just need to about that place, A little bit of history and you can take people around, which again amazing.

I know, some of the people who will go there and settle there , learn about that particular place and then take people out as a tour guide

They take people around and they earn and they come. They earn enough to survive in that particular location.

And they go to another location and learn about it and then be a tour guide there. So that they can balance there both expenses and income, which again an amazing thing.

In fact many people, nowadays create their portfolio on instagram,as a tour guide so that, people can reach to you for example

If I am going to Iceland, I wil definitely try to find a local from Iceland, who can take me around

Someone who has the knowledge of Iceland who can tell me about the history, about the geography

So, I will try to approach the tour guide form that particular place.

So, its very important again to have a online portfolio, social media presence as a tour guide So, that people can reach out to you directly, through social media.

Okay, you have no idea about the demand of travel agent

You have no idea that there are so many people who want itinerary, hotel bookings, Flight booking, and many other things in their hand.

And it is so much in demand because you can start small. For example, If you are well versed with Himachal, you can start as a travel agent , for Himachal.

And then you can expand slowly- slowly to luxury side or maybe international trip.

For example, Mir he earns commission, through providing travel agent services to so many travellers

For example if someones want to go to Gulmarg and someone is searching for accommodation, they can reach out to Meer

Mir can connect the accommodation to tourist and can take the commission in-between.

And again it is again a way to earn extra Bucks or make your career in it.

-[Mir] They connect with you, through social media or by some to other ways they connect with you.

We have a service of Srinagar to Srinagar. Till the time you come to Airport, after that transport, accommodation, activities these all are from our side.

Then you have categories in it, all tourist’s search may differ some of them search of luxury, some of them are tight in budget.

So, depending on these have made our categories

Mostly half of the people arrange hotel by themselves or transport by themselves and half ask for activities from our end , so we provide such kind of service also.

So if you are passionate about adventure sports. Surfing is another thing which you can try.

So, Mulki is the place where you can learn surfing

You can volunteer there, of course you have to volunteer there for a very long time to acquire skills and to be a good surfer.

And the best part is, If you are volunteering you do not have to spend anything.

That is what I did for a month atleast I was there, helping them as a volunteer and even teaching me surfing.

And so many people as volunteers were there over a year helping them.

And they were so good, in surfing they were excellent and once they are pro they can go out to different countries.

Be a surfer and you can go to different- different countries and teach surfing.

One girl came to Mulki from Europe, she was teaching in Mulki and then she was planning to go to Bali and them teach people in Bali ‘How to surf’ which is amazing, again another way to travel.

I think this is the dream job, you just travel and take pictures of that particular place, But actually this industry have become more competitive at this time

Because many people are doing this work for free. They get free trips and they just go on that particular trip and take pictures and that’s it

But if you are able to build your portfolio and if you are someone who is an excellent photographer. You can earn so much and it will be a dream come true for so many people

Because then you have the chance to work with tourism boards , with resorts, with tour companies, you can organize workshops you can organize photography tours , you can teach people and you can earn In many ways basically. It is amazing.

So, I know this person who have rented his house and he is getting that rental income and with that rental income he is exploring the world and again it is other passive,

income passive way of earning income to travel and another good way from which you can earn extra bucks

In fact, there are two website that you can check

These are the websites AirBnB of course this is the major win will thing, which many people are doing especially in India. It is amazing. You can check these websites.

So this was my backup plan when I was business research analyst. I though of shifting my career to being a consultant, Why,

So, as a Consultant again you have to go to the client’s side you have to see there operation and give them the business advice .

So, when you are doing these all things then off course travel is involved. Off course, again it depends on the client’s location but,

there are chances that you will be able to go out and travel as well as earn, handsomely because as a consultant you earn really-really well.

So that was my backup plan. But my career basically changed.

But again if you are in corporate and may be you are a business research analyst you can look up for a consultancy job which will help you in traveling.

Freelancer, there are so many freelancing jobs you can be a transcripter, translator, video editor, you can sell your photos, be an editor, content writer.

So many things you can do, In fact, when I left my job, this was my first job to edit video for my clients

I went to fiverr where, I created my profile and I got a few gigs, where I had to edit some videos for clients

And, less money, Off course you start with less money but you can grow your skills and you can start charging more

And once you have a very good portfolio, work will keep coming to you.

So, you can try that out you can be a freelancer and as a freelancer you can work from anywhere you just need an internet and a laptop.

As a flight attendant, I feel , again depending on your experiences and how senior you are you can go to so many different cities

And, In fact, If you working in International airlines you can go to so many different countries,

Off course as a flight attendant they see that how you customer experience is , how you behave the people and how calm you can be.

So, some of the skills you really really need as a person but again if you are a flight attendant, you can travel in so many countries.

There are actually literally YouTubers who are flight attendants and they are traveling and being YouTuber as well as seeing different parts of the world, which is another job that you can look out for.

Last but not the least you can be a social media influencer.

You have no idea how much social media influencing, social media managing takes and companies literally do not have the time to manage their social media profiles

So their hire people so that they can manage. You have to manage Instagram Facebook,It’s a very time consuming task but,

again it will give you the luxury to anywhere and everywhere and earn money because I actually got the opportunity

So , I have to manage a social handle of a airline from anywhere I just needed a good internet and needed to give specific hours to that particular profile and you are good to go.

So, these are all the things that I have listed down prior when I left my job, that I can pursue this- this things.Blogging and youtube does not work for me and I hope this helps you.

You have to see that what are y ou skills set and where you can fit in. then you can just build your career life around it and its amazing you get so much freedom and your able to travel as well.
