the irs expects to take

through the end of the summer to

complete now if you're wondering if you

you do if you follow your tax returns

before the american rescue plan was

enacted

and you included your ui benefits and
[598]
your taxable income for 2020. one more

big stimulus source coming in the summer

is of course the child tax credit
[604]
president biden announced last monday
[606]
that families of more than
[608]
65 million children will start receiving
[610]
their enhanced child tax credit money
[613]
monthly payments of up to 300 on july
[616]
15. that's 39 million households
[619]
and 88 of us children the irs will again
[622]
do the heavy lifting of sending payments
[624]
on the 15th of the month unless it falls
[626]
on a holiday or weekend
[627]
through december eligible parents will
[629]
receive 300
[631]
per month for each child under the age
[633]
of 6 and 250
[635]
per month for each child between the
[637]
ages of 6 and 17 years old
[639]
now if you have 18 year old dependents
[641]
they can qualify for up to 500
[643]
each toward the child tax credit amount
[645]
that you will receive
[646]
if you have a dependent between the ages
[648]
of 19 and 24 years old who is also
[650]
attending college full-time
[652]
they can also qualify for up to 500 each
[654]
toward your total payment now if your
[656]
family doesn't normally file taxes you
[658]
can also wait for their portal to
[660]
sign up for this and even check out any
[662]
stimulus payments that you might have
[663]
missed

2021 babies are also in on this one

another separate portal will be set up

for parents to update their address

their bank account information

as well as their family size and also

opt out of monthly payments in favor of
