MP Materials, ticker symbol
MP, is a raw materials

mining and extraction company.

They currently operate
and own Mountain Pass,
[25]
an iconic American industrial asset,
[28]
which is the only integrated
mining and processing site
[31]
in the Western hemisphere at scale.
[34]
They currently make up 15
percent of the total marketplace.

- The raw materials
that they're digging up
[40]
essentially powers future
technology, from EVs to drones,
[45]
to the creepy robotic dogs
that you've seen everywhere
[50]
that looks like Black
Mirror, to fighter jets.
[53]
They're powering the future
with these raw materials.

And it's even crazy when
you start to think about
[60]
where these materials currently come from.

- Yeah, these materials,
80 percent of these
[66]
raw materials come from China.
[69]
- 80 percent.

- 80 percent guys.

That's more than majority, which is insane

if you think about just
how big of a marketplace

that we have, as far as in America.

So we won't get into
politics on his channel yet,

but I think we can all agree that

relying on a country to produce
[92]
80 percent of anything
for us, is no bueno.

It's not good.

- Not good.

- And for some reason our government

decided to let that happen.

But with companies like
MP, it's an opportunity

to bring back manufacturing
and raw earth material jobs

to American soil and as
proud Americans, right?

As proud Nigerian Americans

we think that's super, super important.

- Yeah, no, absolutely America first.

And I would also say that,
not only just for America
[121]
but you know we have to
think about our neighbors,

we have to think about Europe too.

Like there's a huge-

- Right.

- They're going to have demand as well.

You know, in Canada, places like Mexico,

places like South America and Europe.

So it almost just, it makes
sense to have something here

on the West side.

- The western hemisphere.

The western hemisphere that
can kind of supply its-

- These raw materials.

- Yeah.

- But what's MP's game plan to achieve

what they're looking to achieve.

- Yeah, so MP has a long-term
vision that involves

three separate stages.

Stage one was to repair and
restore the Mountain Pass site.

Initially when they got it,
it wasn't optimal at all.

So they had to go in
and take care of that.

Stage two is they're going to
separate these raw materials
[171]
in a very clean and sustainable manner.

And then stage three would
be to then actually produce
[179]
these metals that are going
to power the next advancements
[184]
of technology.

- So they're doing all this,
and they're doing all this

by being a clean green mining company.

So they're not your
grandfather's mining company.

- Yeah.

- They're a clean tech play as well.

- Yeah, and that's what just
makes them a trailblazer.

The fact that they're going
about it in a process that is

in line with American values
[208]
and it's in line with future
values, quite frankly.

- I started accumulating our position
[213]
in the 15 dollar range.
[214]
And it's currently in the low thirties.
[216]
And we're still actively
buying at these price points.
[220]
Anytime we do see a dip, we
are definitely buying shares.

Again, we're long on this position.

- And part of our philosophy
here at Radical Investors

with our longterm plays,
very simple you guys.

Find amazing companies
led by amazing people
[236]
and buy in early.
[237]
And we think we're still very, very early
[240]
in the life cycle of MP.

At 32 dollars, it's still a
very, very, very good price
[247]
to buy in.

Now obviously we're
