Car prices are insane and dealerships are no exception.

Those guys are fricking jacking up the prices like crazy!

Today we are gonna try and guess the price of actual cars

that are for sale at actual dealerships,

and spoiler alert, we're probably gonna get pretty mad.

He's Jeremiah, I'm James, and this is the-

Inside your car, (creepy ambient music)

there's a creep unlike anything you've ever heard before,

but be warned, it can be quite temperamental.

First example, we got us a 2022, that's this year,

brand new, Honda Civic SI, all right?

- Okay. - The second coolest one.

- So it's not a Type-R, it's an SI.

This thing, 6-speed manual, the dealer added tint.

- (laughing) Okay? All right, cool.

- Now this suggested retail value for this thing

is $20,315, all right?

I mean, it's insane if this is more than 40 grand,

I'm going to say $35,000

- Oh, it's way more than that! - You think?

- It's $48,000.

- 48,000? You think they almost doubled the price?

- Yeah, they're added 20k to this car.

- The actual listing price is $48,795.

(dramatic sting)

- Oh my God! I'm not even mad, I'm proud of you.

That's cr- Dude, $20,000 markup on a Civic SI?

- Crazy! - $28,315

That's what Honda said this car costs,

the guy's like, "Yeah, I'm thinking 50."

All right, next up we got a 2020 Toyota Tacoma.

This is pre-owned, this is used, it's a used Toyota Truck.

TRD Sport, Double Cab, it's not Four-wheel Drive,

it's Rear-wheel Drive. - Oh, interesting.

- Just under 26,000 miles.

Now, Tacoma's notoriously hold their value.

So the MSRP, brand new, this truck costs $37,000

- This one's tough.

I still think it's going to go over.

- It's definitely gonna go over.

- It's definitely gonna go over.

- The fact that it's not four-wheel drive

kinda makes it a pointless thing.

- I'll do 47. I think 10k over.

- Yeah, I'm gonna say $46,000

- The actual price of the Tacoma was $48,500

Not only are you winner, you're like so close every time.

- Man, 48k for this thing? Are you kidding me?

So far we've had two $50,000 cars. (laughing)

- Yeah, and both of them have cloth seats.

Next up, we got a 2022, that's this year,

it's the Z51 package, so Z06s aren't out yet,

so this is up there.

It's got red seats, 3LT package, big daddy.

What do you think a dealership decided it should cost?

because when they came out with these cars,

remember it was like- - 60 grand!

is so dealerships couldn't over consumers.

And now they're doing it! - Yeah,

they're doing it because I guess we forgot

what we were about in this country!

Yeah, so I'm gonna say 135 grand on this car.

- I say 140.

- The price of the C8 was $138,000

there's no legal jurisdiction for a dealership

to abide by the MSRP,

however some dealers, like Ford,

are issuing warnings against dealers who are scalping.

- Okay, next we got a 2018 used Ford Fiesta ST,

6-speed manual, it's got 12,000 miles on the clock.

- 12,000 hard miles...

- Oh, dude, these things are all screwed up. (both laughing)

I would never buy one of these.

Okay, so originally sold for $20,000

I don't know if it's gonna go over.

- I don't know,

I feel like this is one of the ones

where Max is throwing an oddball,

he's doing a little trickery.

So I'm just gonna go O.G. MSRP, let's say 20k.

- 20k? I'm gonna say 23

I don't think the markup on this is going to be as crazy

because I think Golf Rs are going for like 65

It's got the 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6. Very cool motor.

It's got red wheels.

- Cool. - Is it?

It's also got Area 51 paint!

MSRP $67,000

Now this is another Ford that people were like,

when they debuted, they were like, "That is a deal."

- So this was 67? It's double, it's $140,000

- I'm gonna say $137,000

I don't think I'm good at the game.

- No, no, you're not good at Price Is Right rules,

but I want you to nail it.

This is why you're doing it because you want to nail it.

- I want to nail it. I want to be proud.

- You wanna get within a hundred dollars

so you win both Showcase Showdowns.

- Yeah. (Jeremiah laughs)
