therapy guns today. This is the NordicTrack聽聽

we've picked up at Sam's Club. And on this聽聽

side here we've got the True Relief Impact Therapy聽
device, a percussion massage gun that we picked up聽聽

at Costco, we'll be scoring the two devices on six聽
categories today. The first is going to be price.聽聽

The second one is going to be the聽
accessories that come with the devices.聽聽

The third one is going to be the size slash weight聽
of each device. The fourth category is going to聽聽

be the intensity that each device can produce.聽
The fifth category is going to be the battery聽聽

last six category is going to be the ease of use聽聽

category is price. The percussion massage gun聽聽

from Sam's Club, we picked it up for $80 it's聽
$79. Now it was on sale. Both devices were聽聽
[90]
actually on sale we picked it up but we did some聽
more research and this one hovers at around $100聽聽
[95]
if you don't catch it on sale, so it's a pretty聽
good price. Now comparatively, the true medic聽聽
[101]
true relief percussion massager from Costco was聽
at $100. We picked it up also on sale from Costco,聽聽
[107]
but it does typically run 130 to $140 without聽
a sale. So when it comes to price, the Sam's聽聽
[115]
Club massage gun, we'll take the point here.聽
Let's go on to the next category accessories.聽聽

So I'm going to move these boxes aside and let's聽
open up each of our percussion guns here. This聽聽
[126]
is the NordicTrack the Sam's Club gun, you can聽
see that the cases are different sizes by the聽聽
[132]
way. And if we talk about the accessories聽
that would be inside of that one looks like聽聽
[140]
to you the true medic true relief device looks聽
like so when it comes down to the accessories聽聽

the device on this side here from Sam's Club聽
comes with four tools that you can attach to聽聽

your gun. And the one from Costco comes聽
with five tools now to compare them both.聽聽

The most commonly used tools are these little聽
foam balls that come with them. The one that comes聽聽

from Costco is significantly bigger. I mean that's聽
like a rat almost like a racquetball size a little聽聽

smaller, maybe lacrosse ball size. And this is聽
like a small golf ball it's a little bit smaller聽聽
[176]
than a golf ball size. Now they're both about聽
the same firmness and softness and the textures聽聽
[182]
exactly the same. So they're probably the exact聽
same material. This was just smaller than one聽聽

that comes from Sam's Club. This one's definitely聽
bigger. Now, I'm just going to compare the similar聽聽

tools. Here's the one that comes from the Sam's聽
Club percussion massager and here's one that comes聽聽

from the Costco one. And they're almost the same聽
size of one from Costco is just subtly bigger. The聽聽

materials are about the same, they feel the聽
same, but you can see there This one's just聽聽

a little taller when I stack them up this way.聽
And then you have your let me go in order here.聽聽

This is the one this is the pinpoint massager聽
from the Sam's Club one and this is the one from聽聽

Costco and it's a little bit longer than Sam's聽
Club one. This one's a little sturdier but聽聽

they're about the same circumference I see聽
maybe the Costco one is slightly thicker.聽聽

And then here you have your Flathead one聽
that's used for like superficial massage,聽聽

and the one from Sam's Club is also just聽
subtly smaller than the one from Costco聽聽

and then Costco offers this chisel tip, which聽
I really like I think this one was pretty cool.聽聽

So that's the accessory for that when it comes聽
down to accessories. I think the Costco percussion聽聽
[253]
massage gun takes the point here. Now let's go on聽
to the size and weight of each of these devices.聽聽

So here is the percussion massage gun from Sam's聽
Club and here's the one from Costco and as you can聽聽

see the Sam's Club one is significantly smaller聽
than the one from Costco. But when it comes to聽聽
[272]
weight, the custom one is actually lighter than聽
the Sam's one. Even though this one's smaller.聽聽

The Costco one is lighter so this one's聽
heavier, but smaller than when I measure聽聽
[283]
it. I've got my measuring tape here. This聽
device is measuring in front of you here.聽聽

comes in at about just under six inches聽
before you put on any attachment and聽聽

it's about six and a half inches tall. This聽
device here comes in at almost seven inches long.聽聽

And we're looking at about nine inches聽
tall. So this is significantly bigger,聽聽

but it's just modestly lighter.聽
They're both almost the same way.聽聽

Looking at the specs, this one didn't come聽
with any specs, I can find anything online.聽聽

And I don't have a scale with me to get to the聽
exact way. But it's maybe a quarter of a pound,聽聽

you know, a few 100 grams heavier than the聽
Costco one, I'd say they're almost the same聽聽
[341]
way. But this one just is significantly聽
smaller, it just feels lighter in my head,聽聽

I just naturally want to grip it like this.聽
It just feels easier to grip than this thing.聽聽

So when it comes to size and weights, I think聽
the point goes to the Sam's Club tool here.聽聽

Or let's talk about intensity. Now how聽
powerful are these devices. Now the Sam's Club聽聽

percussion massager caps out at 2400 RPMs. I'm聽
just going to catch the ball here. So you can聽聽

see what that looks like to touch the ball on this聽
one as well. The attachments going really easy.聽聽

So I'm going to move them both to the highest聽
settings and we'll talk about the settings聽聽
[383]
here in a moment, I just want to show you the聽
intensity first. What's the lowest setting there.聽聽

There's a low sitting there. And you could I could聽
feel it all over you could see it the frames of聽聽
[398]
frames per second. The video here might not聽
catch everything. But this one is definitely聽聽
[402]
moving a little more powerfully聽
than the Sam's one. I'm going to聽聽

take it up to the highest speed here.聽
So it's the highest speed on this one.聽聽

And the Costco one is definitely vibrating more聽
intensely than the Sam's Club one. This one just聽聽

feels a lot weaker than the one from Costco.聽
This is more powerful. And of course I'm sure聽聽
[424]
that's attributed to the size of the device,聽
but this is definitely at its highest speed.聽聽

more intense, you have more RPMs and when it comes聽
to force who's put this on my thighs here, you can聽聽
[434]
feel a massive difference is just vibrating聽
a lot more intensely than the Sam's Club.聽

So when it comes to the intensity of between聽
each device, that Costco percussion massage gun聽聽
[448]
takes the point here, let's go on to the聽
fifth category battery life and charging聽聽
[454]
over here with the Sam's Club percussion massage聽
gun charging is interesting. This is the charging聽聽
[460]
cable that comes with it. It's a normal USB聽
cable that has a USB-C cable and it attaches聽聽
[470]
right here on the base of this little protrusion聽
here on the end and it plugs into any USB block聽聽
[476]
that you have for like a phone charger or other聽
similar device. So I thought that this was聽聽
[482]
you know a little skimpy on their part I would聽
have liked a block to have come with this聽聽
[487]
or some attachment that I can just directly聽
plug into the wall a block would have been ideal聽聽
[492]
because I feel like I have to go buy a block for聽
this thing I mean I have plenty around the house聽聽
[496]
but they're already dedicated to other devices聽
that I have to charge in use. So I feel like聽聽
[500]
I'd be miss you know I have to displace one of聽
the devices or I'd be throwing off my family's聽聽
[506]
charging scheduled routine. But overall I think聽
you know there's some ups and downs to this.聽聽
[512]
The blocks are pretty ubiquitous, you know,聽
they're everywhere. Everybody has a smartphone聽聽
[516]
these days and it's not too hard to find a charger聽
block so that might work well for you. And then聽聽
[521]
the other advantage to this is the USB-C port is聽
becoming more and more common. So you might find聽聽
[527]
it easier to charge this device in case you聽
lose your charger cable that comes with it.聽聽

Now the battery life on this is 3.5 hours that's聽
actually a good while for such a device like this.聽聽

And that probably explains why this is heavier聽
despite it being smaller than the Costco version.聽聽

Because batteries are typically what weigh quite a聽
bit. Let's talk about Sam's percussion massage gun聽聽

and its battery life its battery life is聽
expected to be about three hours long.聽聽

And when you have to charge it comes with this聽
charger cable. I prefer this personally over the聽聽
[562]
you know having to go find my own block because聽
I don't need a block for this. But you have this聽聽
[567]
kind of adapter on the end and it fits right down聽
in here. And I feel like if I lose this thing,聽聽
[574]
I'm screwed I got to go order another one. Some聽
devices out there might be adaptable to this one聽聽
[579]
but they're just not as common as USB charging聽
devices. So I like the USB charging devices.聽聽

Even a USB-C is I have more of those these days聽
than I have these older mature older chargers. I聽聽

think I have a handheld vacuum that has this kind聽
of attachment maybe a humidifier too, though that聽聽
[596]
works with this thing as well. But I don't have聽
many devices compared to the USB chargers. Another聽聽

big feature that's talked about on the box of this聽
device I haven't verified with the company and聽聽
[606]
how this exactly works. But it comes with Oh, you聽
can see this on the box for the museum and a bit,聽聽

a lifetime guarantee of the battery that is聽
awesome. So now even though the battery life聽聽
[618]
of this device is only three hours, if you're聽
using this quite a bit and you end up running聽聽
[623]
the battery down, you can technically ask them to聽
replace the battery replace the device, however,聽聽

the company works to do this, and the battery聽
has a lifetime guarantee you can use this thing聽聽

forever, as long as the rest of the components are聽
okay, that does come with a warranty registration聽聽

card right here. The Sam's Club one did not come聽
with that. So I know this one costs a bit more,聽聽

but I think they do that to cover all the costs聽
of replacing the device in case you need it,聽聽

making sure that you can get a lifetime guarantee聽
and the battery so when it comes to battery and聽聽
[656]
charging, I will give the point over to the Costco聽
percussion massage gun. It's just a little more聽聽

superior compared to the Sam's Club point. Now聽
let's talk about the final category ease of use.聽聽

The Sam's Club percussion massager fits super聽
nice to my hand, I mean the handle is it just fits聽聽
[675]
really nicely. I have bigger hands and probably聽
the average person, but it just feels very聽聽
[680]
comfortable. My children were holding this device聽
and they didn't have any trouble doing it. They're聽聽
[686]
97 years old. So this one felt very comfortable聽
in their hands compared to this one, they looked聽聽
[691]
a little more clumsy. The holding this one.聽
Although just a recommendation. Don't let your聽聽
[697]
kids play with these unsupervised, make sure that聽
you watch them. That's what I was doing. So this聽聽
[702]
device is just a little easier to handle. Because聽
it's not as long it's easier to get leverage bind聽聽

yourself whenever you're reaching out your body,聽
especially your back. For instance material on聽聽

here puts in the middle setting. If I'm reaching聽
right here and I want to put a lot of pressure聽聽

through there to dig into a knot. I don't have聽
to reach as far because the device is smaller.聽

When I grabbed this device about halfway聽聽

it's just a little bit bigger so it's a little聽
harder to handle than the other one. Now if you're聽聽

a bigger person, this probably won't be a big聽
deal for you. Honestly this doesn't feel bad in聽聽

my hand I like I said I have pretty big hands but聽
if you're a smaller person you have smaller hands聽聽

or you tend to drop things you're not the best the聽
most coordinated and holding something especially聽聽

when it vibrates like this, you might look聽
at the smaller device for your ease of use.聽聽

The other part to factor into ease of use is聽
the portability of the tool. If you're somebody聽聽

who likes to travel with something like this and聽
pack it away in a suitcase was you can see here聽聽

the case is a lot bigger for the Costco percussion聽
massage gun versus the Sam's Club massage gun. So聽聽

if you like to tuck this away into your suitcase聽
or a backpack and take it with you on the road or聽聽

anywhere you're traveling. You can see here the聽
cases are significantly different in length by put聽聽

this one in front they're almost the same height,聽
but this one's got an extra few inches sticking聽聽

out this way. And then a weight wise this case is聽
just a lot heavier than this one even though the聽聽

gun itself is lighter from Sam's this case is聽
just a lot heavier. So if you're worried about聽聽

not loading up your suitcase, especially with聽
travel restrictions and all that stuff with them聽聽

with weight restrictions on your suitcase, this聽
might be a better option for you if you're going聽聽

to travel with the device. So let's get to the聽
end here. Overall it is a tie there's different聽聽

variables for each gun that make it better in聽
some cases and in some better for other cases.聽聽

Now my personal opinion is a specialist physical聽
therapist when you would consider getting the聽聽
[838]
NordicTrack percussion massage gun from Sam's聽
Club is if you've got smaller hands if you plan聽聽

on traveling with this device and if you don't聽
feel like you need that much power. I mean this聽聽
[848]
still has some good power you can still massage聽
yourself pretty good but if you're just generally聽聽
[851]
a smaller person like say, you know 56-55聽
as far as height and under, then this gun聽聽

should probably provide all the power that you聽
need to massage your whole body ever you are聽聽

unless you've got really dense muscles like your聽
athletic bills, you got really thick muscles,聽聽

I would go with getting this one. Now if you are聽
a bigger person you're closer to six feet tall.聽聽

You think you need more power you more the聽
athletic type. And the hand size thing doesn't聽聽

bother you too much. Then I would definitely聽
go with the cost cover in this thing just聽聽

packs more power. I think that you'll get more聽
bang for your buck, especially with the battery聽聽

life of this and then the lifetime warranty on聽
the battery. This device is just a lot better.聽聽

That's something that I didn't factor in because聽
I don't think many worry about it much these days聽聽

with these devices being relatively similar,聽
his noise levels, I'm just going to turn these聽聽

on for you one at a time so that you can compare聽
the noise levels. And they're almost the same.聽聽

But the Costco one is just a bit louder, and聽
I'll talk as it's on so that you can compare聽聽

that I don't want to have to yell to overpower聽
the loudness of this one, it's not that loud.聽聽

Let's put this on its highest setting.聽
There it is. It just hums quietly,聽聽

I have a baby at home that's eight months old.聽
And she'll sleep do that no problem. I think even聽聽

adults, and everybody can speak to that little聽
problem, it is not loud. And even when we attach聽聽

any of the attachments here, it doesn't聽
really change the noise that much.聽聽

It might just change a bit if you put it on聽
your body. But you're not going to be talking聽聽

with us generally, unless you're around people,聽
if you're by yourself and trying to keep quiet.聽聽

It's not that loud. So let's compare that to聽
the Costco one. A little bonus comparison here.聽聽

That's a lot of setting right there. I聽
mean, maybe it's a little louder, and聽聽

you take off the attachment and see聽
if that's any different. But the same聽聽

way you put it on your body is much more powerful.聽聽

think if you're biasing more towards power,聽聽

sales probably going to be less of a factor for聽
you. And for an extra 20 to $40 the power might聽聽

be worth it for you. The portability though,聽
that's where you suffer a bit. So you just got聽聽

to weigh all these factors and figure out what is聽
best for you. And then also consider where your聽聽

memberships that you have a Sam鈥檚 club membership聽
or a Costco membership that might influence things聽聽
