felix here and we're going to do a roundup  of where we are with analysts ratings on the  

nio stock and wyatt matters now firstly of  course always is not financial devices just  

for entertainment only and do please smash that  like button guys i donate one cent for every one

where our channel mascots all these goats are  from and now you might think i'm slightly mad  

with the goats but there we are here is one  of our goats so all the advice comes straight  

from the goats now let's get straight to uh what  the actual uh upgrades are what the numbers are  

now we have quite a few uh fairly recent price  targets out on on nio and i've put them here  

together in a spreadsheet that spreadsheet is of  course on our patreon channel so you can see uh  

all my not just the ratings but my uh trackings  of the analysts forecasts and numbers and and and  

delivery numbers and all the stuff i sort of put  it in there and i i i um try to tidy it as well  

but where are we well the big news really is  that hsbc has just bought sort of 500 000 shares  

also on the 26th just yesterday at rock  bottom nio prices they obviously saw  

good value in there and at the same time  they put out a new analyst upgrade they  

upgraded the price target from 4470 to 54 u.s  dollars it's always kind of interesting how banks  

do that right they buy first and then they put  out the the the the sort of buy rating um so yeah  

that is kind of a a big change here that is ten  dollars up and you might say well we know we  

went up higher than 54 dollars but hsbc has  been very very conservative on the whole ev  

space in the same day they also bought x paying  so they're coming around i think to our way of  

thinking and that is actually still the lowest  analyst target we have and that's an upgrade so  

if you look at where else we are but they were  they are at the very top with a hundred us dollars  

you have jefferies at 60 citigroup at 68.  goldman's at 59 bank of america at 70. and  

then you're kind of getting to see there's a bit  of consensus here around that 70 mark jp morgan at  

75 at deutsche at 70 and swiss uh uh the swissies  at 71 that actually gives us an average of 70 us  

dollars now from all the analysts and of course  hsbc is dragging it down but then they have just  

put their own money into it quite a substantial  amount i will let me show that to you so you can  

see just how much money they put into it uh here  we go they put in 70 million us dollars um that  

that is they're holding now of nio upgrading here  by more than half a million shares they're holding  

on on the 25th so what does it all mean why is  the price of the stock going in the opposite  

direction of what the analysts are telling us  a lot of people are asking that in the comments  

well i think at the moment this is all momentum  driven what the market's doing it's just momentum  

everyone is a little bit like you know on on the  on the edge of their seat and when little things  

happen like tesla running out of chips which  is rather common at the moment within when the  

automotive industry not just applies to evs then  the market goes down now does it in the long run  

for a company like tesla mata whether they produce  a car or not for a week or so no i don't think so  

i don't think that actually affects the long-term  value of the the the stock unless you know they  

really stop producing for like six months at a  time but little blips like that are just that  

they're a blip and the market tanks and well a  lot of the institutions are seeing it as a buying  

opportunity to load up on more tesla and load up  on more nio and all sorts of other things that  

have been hit over the head in the last couple of  days so in the long run i don't think this is a  

factor it's basically short-term pain it can be a  buying opportunity of course i'm not recommending  

that you buy it it just depends on everybody's  kind of horizon of their portfolio mix of  

how quickly they need that money what your plan is  with it is it something to hold for like 10 years  

or is it something you need in nine months i mean  a lot of considerations in in there on that um and  

of course we have on monday two big news items  from nio one we have the earnings numbers for  

q4 and the full year 2020 and second we have  the delivery numbers for february i expect the  

delivery numbers are going to be very very solid  um i think there might be a nice surprise in there  

in fact whereas the earnings numbers i think  expectations are very very high it'd be rather  

hard to beat them uh we're looking at something  like an earnings per share of sort of minus uh  

10 15 cents or so and that is is a pretty tall  order for um nio now if you uh checked out my  

video earlier in the day i did a discounted  cash flow model on that and if you want to  

download that spreadsheet also you can get  that on our patreon channel as well you can  

kind of download what the numbers are underlying  with it and you can kind of look at you know where  

are your price targets and do they make sense  and what would be the required sales and margin  

numbers for for nio therefore that so guys watch  this space watch this channel monday is going  

to be an incredibly exciting day for nio i'd  say the biggest nio day is so far off the year  

and make sure you watch that earnings report make  sure you listen to what these very analysts here  

hsbc jeffrey city group goldman's all these guys  are going to be on the call and they're going  

to ask questions and then they're going to answer  and those questions and answers are hugely hugely  

interesting if you are interested in this stock  in any way shape or form and i'm assuming you are
