Best Day TRADING Set Up 2022 - Ultrawide Curved Monitors, Cable Management, Trading PC Build - YouTube

Channel: Humbled Trader

[9]
Today I am going to updating my trading  computer setup from this. To this.
[16]
I’ve been using these 4 screen  trading monitor set up for
[20]
over three years now. And I think it’s time for  a refresh up here. Also, I want to mount this PC
[27]
tower on the floor to under my desk and finally  deal with this mess of cables down here.
[35]
This is the infamous cable graveyard. Where all  electronics and tech come to die after I use them.
[43]
My new trading monitor are going to be two:
[46]
2021 LG 38-inch Curved Ultrawide monitors.
[52]
Special thanks to LG for gifting me  these two monitors to try. But… they
[58]
really should have also gifted me a technician
[60]
to help me set this up. Because if  you’re following my channel for a while.
[65]
You would know that…. I am a grandma; I don’t  know any of these technical computer stuff.
[71]
Hey, I said I know how to trade,  I never said I know computers.
[75]
Thankfully I have a friend who is much  smarter and tech savvy than me. Steven!
[82]
Are you ready to set up this  Monitor for me, I mean with me?
[87]
Now we’re going to set up the new  monitors and stack them vertically,
[91]
install a cable management system,  and mount the CPU tower below my desk.
[97]
For the bottom monitor I decided the use the  original One Click Stand that comes with the
[103]
package. The mount is very easy to install.  Just a simple click at the back and its done,
[109]
no other tools required. This mount is also very  flexible, and is height and tilt adjustable.
[118]
For the top monitor, I decided to go with a VIVO  extra tall vertical mount that I purchased from
[124]
Amazon. My previous four monitors were  also set up with the VIVO quad mount.
[130]
It had some alignment issues  that really triggered my OCD,
[134]
but nonetheless the mount was extremely sturdy,  so I was happy to re-purchase from them again.
[141]
This VIVO extra tall mount was originally made  for two monitors stacked vertically. But since
[148]
the bottom monitor is going to sit on the LG  mount, I removed the unused arm at the bottom.
[155]
And of course, this LG Ultrawide Curve  monitor is VESA mount compatible as well.
[164]
Shay, can you help?
[167]
What?
[171]
Now it’s time to install the CPU  mount for my PC tower under the desk.
[177]
So, after a lot research, I purchased this  heavy duty CPU mount from Prime Cables.
[186]
I used some 3M double sided tape to attach a power  strip and cable tray near the back of the table.
[194]
Now all the power cords can be plugged  into the outlet under the desk.
[199]
This way I can finally hide all the messy  wires from my wire graveyard before.
[204]
Everything stays very clean and hidden whether  my standing desk is adjusted high or low.
[210]
This process took a while to get it  right. But I am happy with the result!
[219]
And this is my new trading computer setup.
[259]
And this is the new trading computer  monitor setup. So basically I went
[264]
from having four 24 inch monitors to  now only having two 38-inch ultrawide.
[272]
With two LG 38incch Curved Ultra-wide  that is stacked on a VIVO vertical mount.
[279]
So that means I’m going to  make a lot less money now.
[282]
Because we all know the more monitors you  have the more money you make in day trading.
[289]
Ok that's not true. But seriously there is a huge  edge in having bigger screen real estate to be
[296]
able to monitor multiple stocks and multiple time  frames at the same time when you are day trading.
[303]
And this will be especially true if you’re  trading sector momentum moves and be able to
[309]
compare the movements of all the leaders and the  followers and track the sentiment across a sector.
[316]
This is extremely important if you  are day trading this momentum stocks.
[320]
And these 38 inch Curved Ultra-wide monitors  allow me to do so. With 21:9 aspect ratio,
[330]
slim bezel edges on 3 sides, and  continuous screen real estate,
[335]
I'm able to monitor up to 8 stocks on  one screen on the top with multiple
[341]
time frames, the daily charts, intraday  time frames as well as the major indices.
[348]
Then at the bottom, I have room  for my trading execution platform.
[353]
4 stocks, 4 montages, 8 stock charts  and all the order management windows.
[360]
From there I can easily split my display  to fit my research tools like newswire,
[366]
scanner, and of course my very own  Humbled Trader community on Discord.
[374]
This is my first time using ultra-wide  curved monitors, I was a bit worried about
[381]
whether the curve would distort  the visuals too much on screen.
[385]
However, I was pleasantly surprised that  the curves on these monitors are very subtle
[391]
and they fill up my peripheral vision nicely.
[397]
Besides the space, the monitors are  also height and tilt adjustable.
[404]
While I only connect the  monitors to my PC tower normally,
[408]
these also come with multiple inputs at the  back and support USB type C with laptops.
[419]
Complete with this trading setup update is  the under the desk CPU mount. Now my PC tower
[425]
can rise higher or lower with my standing  desk. Which provides a more organized look,
[432]
and I can now clean the floor  easily or pretend to do so.
[436]
And my previous hideous cable graveyard
[440]
is now gone! With much cleaner cable  management system under the table as well.
[451]
I will list out all the links to my LG  monitors, the computer parts, CPU mount,
[457]
and cable management system down  below in the description. Again,
[461]
thank you LG for gifting me these monitors to  enhance my trading experience. And of course,
[468]
especial thanks to my friend Steven for updating  this computer set up for me, I mean with me.
