So, I asked my mother that a monkey's picture is being sold online

Would you like to buy it ?

Not much, it's only for ₹20 crore rupees

She said that we already have one

Actually she was surprised, that why should I buy a ₹20 crore rupees from internet?

Do you think I'm crazy?

Instead I would prefer to download it or take a screenshot if I want !

And to be honest,

If you would ask this question

to a normal person,

the answer would be the same

So many people have these kind of confusions !

That how are NFTs working ?

Who is creating? Who is selling? Why is he selling?

Why is the purchaser buying it on so expensive rates?

And what will the purchaser do after buying it?

So what is the system of NFTs

Who is creating? And how?

How can you create? and earn money?

And how can you have a bunch of profit after diving in this trend ?

These all queries will be discussed in this video

So let's start by understanding NFT

NFT stands for Non Fungible Tokens

Non Fungible tokens means that it cannot be exchanged !

If you and I both have a ₹100 rupees note,

and we both exchanged the notes, so the value will remain the same

But this could not be done in NFTs system

You cannot exchange you NFTs

In NFT, T stands for token

and in this case, Token could be authority

In this world, what's the proof that

the downloaded photo in your phone is yours?

No proof ! Genuine thing

So token could validate this thing

Everyone on the internet has to believe that the particular thing is yours

So, NFT could be in any form - JPEG, PNG, GIF, Video

Any digitally created thing could be a NFT

Even this video could be sold in the future, if anyone want to buy it?

Whenver we do a deal in any NFT or purchase it,

the NFT remains unchanged only the name of the purchaser get added

So that everyone come to know that this particular thing(NFT) belongs to this person

As we have 'Amazon' and 'Flipkart' to buy/sell goods,

Likewise, we have specialized marketplaces for NFTs

Some famous examples : WazirX, Enjin, OpenSea, Rarible ; You might have heard of them.

To understand this in a better way, let's move on to their panel

So this is WazirX Platform,

So if you'll go to 'Discover', then you'll find all the digitally created things made and uploaded by different people to sell

The name of the owners and price is mentioned below the NFT

Here you can find cheap items as well as expensive items too

For example, If I'll choose this picture named as 'Cube Buddy'

So, here it's a 3-D model of a cube

Suppose, if I ask a 3-D graphic designer for such model

So how much money he'll charge?

₹500, ₹700, ₹1000; not more than that?

But if you see here,

you'll see "Minted by @NishaDroch"

and then listed for 3.3 WRX (WRX is a token of WazirX)

The value of this model is 3.62 USD

This was listed on 29 October

But just a week after that, a different user '@pratikkaduart' purchased this model on listed price

After 2 months, '@pratikkaduart' listed the price to 95.92 USD (i.e, around ₹7000)

So, in this case whenever anyone will open this

The whole history will be listed; whosoever buys it, at what price,etc.

Nothing is hidden

One more benefit is that the creator of these NFTs receives 'Royalty'

It depends on the user to choose whether he wants Royalty or not, while uploading

That the number of times the NFT will get resell,

on every transaction the user can get Royalty; 2%, 5% or the amount determined by the creator

If you see carefully, '@NishaDroch' sold this for 3.62 USD

But if now '@pratikkaduart' sold this for 96 USD

then suppose take 5% or 3%,

so again '@NishaDroch' will receive $2-3 as a 'Royalty'

and this process continues and is very beneficial for creators

This is a reason why 3-D designers, Graphic designers, Character animators, VFX artists, and other professionals

They could definitely work in this

Even my sister is a Graphic Designer

Mine is Brave browser, if you want to download this on Chrome then you can do the same there is no major difference

You can click on 'Get Started'; you'll have a create a new walet

So 'Agree' here, and make a strong rememberable password

And remember there is no option of "Forgot Password" so keep your password with you safely

So here you'll see a button "Click here to reveal secret words"

As you'll click on this, 8-10 words will appear on your screen

Keep these words also safe by taking screenshot or writing somewhere

Because in case you forgot your password, then this phrase will be required

Suppose you change your system; maybe due to Windows corrupt or anything else

Then you cannot connect your wallet again before entering this phrase

So Definitely It's very important

So you'll see a panel like this

This is entirely a Blockchain based system, and therefore Ethereum is used here

Majority of the transactions are in Ethereum

You can see the Panel here, you can also change your name by going to account details

So now if you now go to WazirX or any other website,

You need to connect your wallet; whether you are on WazirX, OpenSea,etc; but Metmask wallet is a must

Now let's go to another platform, "OpenSea"

Suppose if I want to sell anything

So I'll go to profile,

then select Metamask, and connect my wallet

So a by-default account will be created where I can edit my details

Upload Picture; and I'll have to provide approval for everything that I am doing the changes

Once I have done setting up the profile

So here it will show that how much have you created? how much collected?

Suppose I want to create

so I'll upload my Channel Logo as a picture

(Write a name)

After that, here is an option External link

Basically if I have created a page/web site related to this so i can upload

The purchaser might get some more knowledge about this before purchasing

Anything if I want to write in description I can

If I want to create a kind of playlist that I can create using Collection option

And here is an option that I like, Unlockable Content

Suppose I put it for selling and someone buys it

As someone will buy this; this NFT will be his, but with the NFT he will also get more information that I'll provide

Like I can provide a 5-10 minutes video while making the logo as a Gift; or a Handwritten note or anything else

After that it will ask that which Blockchain service you want to use?

Ethereum or Polygon ?

So as you will select the option and create it

your item will be created and get listed on the website.

As you can see it's listed with the given name

Now suppose, I want to sell this so I'll click on sell button

So it will ask that whether I want to keep a fixed price or an Auction?

(....bidding style....)

So here you can type how much amount you want in Ethereum !

Let's suppose I want 0.01 ETH which is equal to $33 dollars

And after that I can also set the duration; 1day, 7days, or whatever time,

after which this will be automatically sold to the highest bidder

Service Fees is listed 2.5%,

as the NFT will be sold, OpenSea will keep 2.5% from the sold price

Now let's click on Complete Listing.

And here's where the real talk begins

If you observe carefully, it's stopping us from listing the item by showing that Gas Fees is charged on you of $236 dollars

So what is Gas Fees?

If we want to mint our item for selling, for that 'Gas Fees' is charged by all these networks

But you can do this for free also,

for that go in the edit section of your item and scroll down,

and in Blockchains field, instead of Ethereum select Polygon.

Now it feel like I should have selected this in the starting only, let me create a new one and show you

So now I have uploaded with a different colour, and instead of Ethereum I have selected Polygon

Now let's save this, and try to sell it

Everything else is same as before, but now as you will click on 'Complete Listing'; so this kind of box will appear.

Unlock Currency; after that this type of request will pop-up, you have to Sign it.

As you'll click it will take around 8-10 seconds for the process to complete

Now in the time this process is happening, let me tell you that there are many more marketplaces

So before investing, you'll have to research what is in trending?

And you'll have to be creative with your digital art so that you can have more price.

So now the currency has been unlocked, and we have to sign another message also

And finally you can see, that it is mentioned above "Your NFT is listed"

So as you'll click on this, you can see that it is listed

You can also search this on your computer, most probably you'll see it listed

You'll also see the Buy Now option there, for me it's blocked because I am signed in with my account only.

And you can even purchase it for $33 dollars.

So while telling all this, I remembered one incident

In the starting phase of Internet, there was a person who created his website named something Pixel

He put every pixel on his website on sale for $1

All the companies went crazy after him and they understood that this is the future of online advertising.

All the companies were after for taking the biggest space in that box by giving 1-1 dollar.

And by the end of this, that person got $1 million; but the companies those who invested there didn't get any return of money.
