Why are Elrond and Enjin Coin pumping? What are security tokens? - YouTube

[10]
Welcome to the Crypto Buzz where we investigate into all things buzzing in the week surrounding
[15]
crypto, defi and blockchain.
[18]
Who says they can call Bitcoin?
[23]
Even if you have your eyes on the charts 24 hrs a day, Something I wouldn’t encourage,
[28]
It’s almost impossible to place a one way bet with crypto.
[31]
There are more ups and downs in the volatile asset class than a busy airstrip.
[35]
There is no doubt that the physical law of what goes up must come down does dictate the
[40]
markets.
[41]
The drop in the price of Bitcoin that we are witnessing this week was evident from chart
[44]
analysis conducted about 4 weeks ago before Bitcoin reached it’s all time high earlier
[49]
this month.
[50]
As we try to work out the driving factors behind the price movement of this elusive
[54]
asset class, we are beginning to see that volume, hashrate, maybe inflation and regulations
[60]
do have some sort of impact on the price of Bitcoin.
[63]
But exactly how they correlate is still not yet entirely clear.
[67]
In today’s show as well as looking over the price of bitcoin and Ethereum the 2 largest
[72]
crypto’s by market cap.
[73]
We’ll also deep dive into security tokens in today’s show – namely tZero, Spice
[79]
VC and Blockchain Capital.
[80]
Plus, we’ll look at trending crypto’s Elrond, Ultra and Enjin Coin.
[85]
At the time of writing this report during the Asian mid-market session the price of
[90]
BTC is at $56,773 approximately being up just under a percent according to Coinbase.
[99]
So, will the price of Bitcoin reach $100,000 before the end of the year?
[105]
I wish I had a crystal ball so I could tell you.
[107]
But for now we’ll just have to wait and see.
[109]
Ethereum is also feeling the pull of the bears.
[112]
With ETH being down 14% over the last 14 days, during the Asian mid-session today the price
[118]
of ETH is at $4141 being down approximately 1.7% in the last 24 hours according to Coingecko.
[128]
If the bearish trend continues the price of ETH could seep below the $4000 level before
[134]
any move upwards to reach the anticipated $6000 levels that the ETH bulls are pushing
[140]
for.
[141]
The crypto market is very volatile and investors should do their own due diligence before taking
[146]
any open positions in the crypto markets and monitor their positions regularly.
[151]
A lot of investors get confused between security tokens, utility tokens and crypto coins.
[159]
Now with a proverbial bridge being built between the crypto universe and the traditional fiat
[164]
world, security tokens will come more into the spotlight.
[167]
So, I’m going to use today’s show as somewhat of a decoder ring to help distinguish between
[172]
security and utility tokens.
[175]
Most people have heard of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency by now, after being invented in 2009, Bitcoin’s
[180]
mysterious whitepaper appeared under the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto.
[187]
Since then the term ICO or initial coin offering has been used on a regular basis, after thousands
[194]
of new alt-coins have been founded using blockchain infrastructure.
[198]
ICO’s generate coins that are usually referred to as tokens.
[204]
These tokens more often than not are utility tokens, Utility tokens offer their holders
[209]
access rights to promotions, such as airdrops and insight into future product or service
[215]
launches.
[216]
Utility tokens don’t represent ownership and are largely unregulated.
[221]
Governance tokens are a slightly upgraded utility token which can give holders governance
[226]
rights over the crypto like in the case of a DAO, or decentralized autonomous organization.
[233]
Processes such as staking and creating loans can be actioned with governance tokens.
[238]
We’ve now reached the time for a short break.
[242]
After the break we’ll take a look at security tokens in detail and some of the most popular
[247]
security token STO protocols out there.
[261]
So stay with us.

[307]
Welcome back after the break this is Sage and you are watching the Crypto Buzz by Kalkine
[308]
TV.
[309]
Now that we have a better understanding of what a utility and governance token are let’s
[314]
look at security tokens.
[315]
Polymath and Swarm are two blockchain protocols that issue security tokens and whose business
[320]
is involved in introducing businesses to tokenization.
[324]
The idea of a security token is not as other-worldly as most other crypto concepts and can be thought
[330]
of as familiar when phrased slightly differently to be “securities tokens” instead.
[337]
Once a security token is purchased the owner becomes a shareholder.
[341]
The process now becomes familiar to buying shares in publicly listed companies, as the
[346]
money you invest into security tokens is directly linked to the value of the company the tokens
[350]
are associated with.
[352]
Security tokens authenticate identity by storing personal information and are thought to be
[358]
a safer inlet to crypto’s for the new investor as they are a regulated space.
[364]
Security tokens allow investors to buy into companies, with this type of hybrid blockchain
[368]
models allowing ownership in shares of companies that adopt blockchain models.
[373]
And asset tokenization marries demand with supply in a new, innovative format and the
[378]
liquidity produced from the fractionalization of digital assets could be a way that the
[384]
decentralized finance world can make more of a mark in tandem with the traditional fiat
[389]
system of finance.
[392]
Although many STO’s are regulated there is still a risk of fraud so stay streetwise
[400]
when contemplating investing in any asset class.
[402]
A security token does provide an extra level of security by a password being required in
[407]
order to access the system.
[409]
Because the generated password gets encrypted and it is only possible for it to be decrypted
[414]
by the same device, there is less risk of hacking into security tokens.
[420]
Although Polymath and Swarm may be the most popular STO’s with their broad ability to
[424]
tokenize almost any asset.
[426]
Today let’s take a quick look over 3 more.
[429]
Spice V, tZero and Blockchain Capital.
[432]
tZero are building an exchange for the regulated trading of security tokens and digital securities.
[440]
If they are successful with their mission they could become the Binance of the regulated
[444]
security tokens.
[446]
The tZero tokens can be purchased directly from their website www.tZero.com
[453]
Spice VC is a notable STO as they are heavily involved with investing into other STO protocols
[460]
such as Securitize, Bakkt and Lottery.com
[465]
In this way Spice VC is investing into the future of the security token space and can
[470]
be purchased on the OpenFinance platform.
[474]
Blockchain Capital founded in 2013 have many popular crypto investments, such as Coinbase,
[480]
Ethereum, Ripple, Kraken and more.
[482]
They really need very little introduction.
[485]
The BCap token can be purchased on OpenFinance.
[488]
In 2019 Coinbase pledged support for the BCAP token to add more regalia to the camps impressive
[495]
accolades.
[496]
Security Tokens are different from Coins which represent currency.
[499]
A coin usually has a given cash equivalent which is based on the supply and demand as
[504]
well as other market factors.
[507]
We’ve now reached the time for a short break.
[517]
After the break we’ll look into pumping crypto’s Elrond, Ultra and Enjin Coin.
[520]
So stay with us.
