[Latest] Round 2 of Stimulus Payments: $2,000 checks, Free Rent, Rehiring - YouTube
Channel: Wealth Hacker - Jeff Rose
[0]
what's going on y'all welcome back the
[1]
channel wealth hacker labs this is the
[3]
channel dedicated to teaching you new
[4]
ways to grow wealth that is not taught
[6]
to you in schools or by your parents I
[9]
am your gracious host Jeff rose and what
[12]
I want to talk about today is a rundown
[14]
of the three current proposals that are
[18]
in Congress right now we all know about
[22]
the cares Act if you're not sure what
[24]
that is exactly then you are aware of
[26]
the twelve hundred dollar economic
[29]
stimulus check that you either have
[30]
received or you are still waiting to get
[33]
mailed to you not only did the cares Act
[37]
provide that twelve higher dollar check
[38]
but you also got an extended six hundred
[41]
dollars of unemployment that would last
[43]
up to potentially thirteen weeks but a
[47]
lot of people are making a lot of noise
[50]
saying that the twelve hundred dollar
[52]
one-time payment isn't enough and there
[56]
are definitely folks in Congress that
[58]
are hearing you that are listening
[61]
there's actually a petition that I've
[63]
had several commenters share with me
[65]
that if you want to sign that petition
[67]
so that it can be passed on to your
[69]
representative that something can get
[72]
passed to help those still in need
[74]
so right now there are currently three
[76]
major stimulus proposals in the works
[80]
some of this information has already
[82]
been shared but I wanted to provide just
[85]
a one-stop shop one-stop resource so
[87]
that you can hear what each of these
[90]
proposals can do for you potentially so
[94]
the first one that is getting most of
[96]
the buzz is the emergency money for the
[99]
people Act
[101]
doing it for the people and why this one
[103]
is getting so much buzz is because we're
[105]
not talking about a twelve hundred
[108]
dollar one-time payment what we're
[110]
talking about is a two thousand dollar a
[113]
monthly stimulus payment that will go a
[117]
minimum of six months up to one year
[120]
potentially so that is the major one
[122]
that people are talking about because I
[124]
mean why not it's $2,000 and that is per
[128]
individual
[129]
so if you are a married couple that
[132]
would be potentially $4,000 for the two
[135]
of you and if you have dependent
[137]
children that also is additional monies
[140]
that could be coming your way the
[141]
emergency money for the people Act this
[143]
was introduced by representatives ROH
[145]
Khanna and Tim Ryan and the big also
[149]
changed with this act as opposed to the
[151]
cares Act is that anybody that is age 16
[155]
that's being claimed as a dependent as
[156]
still as a home would also qualify for
[158]
there's $2,000 monthly stimulus they've
[161]
also increased the income limits
[164]
provided you still have to earn if you
[166]
earn more than one hundred and thirty
[168]
thousand dollars individually 260 as a
[170]
couple then there would be faced out
[172]
limits now the other thing that you need
[174]
to know about this act it also does
[176]
provide the $500 per child just like the
[179]
cares Act but the way that it is
[181]
currently written it caps off at three
[184]
children so if you're a family of six
[187]
with four kids like myself then that
[189]
they're hurt I'm sorry that poor child
[191]
would not be getting any money well the
[194]
parents would not be getting any money
[195]
for that fourth fifth sixth child
[197]
however many kids you have
[198]
and probably the main thing that many
[201]
people are really digging about how this
[204]
is proposed especially for those that
[206]
are sitting at home waiting for your
[209]
check to arrive and it still hasn't yet
[212]
they are trying to propose that instead
[215]
of doing the way that it's been done in
[217]
the cares Act that they would have some
[219]
sort of prepaid debit card some sort of
[222]
mobile money platform like venmo Zelly
[226]
PayPal whatever no cash apps included
[228]
but basically they're just trying to
[230]
make it easier on the IRS on the
[232]
government to send out checks get the
[234]
money to you and just expedite this
[236]
whole process in a previous video I
[239]
talked about the timeline that was
[241]
released by the IRS showing that for the
[243]
higher income earners that still would
[245]
qualify for the first twelve hundred
[247]
ollar check it may take up to 21 weeks
[251]
to get your physical check in the mail
[253]
so anything that could expedite the
[255]
process get that money in the America's
[258]
hands that much faster I think we it's
[261]
safe to say that we're all on
[263]
with that now just a reminder this is
[265]
the proposal in current form this has
[268]
not passed this is not law this is just
[271]
what is in Congress and this is what
[273]
they are talking about right now as a
[275]
possible solution in addition to the
[278]
emergency money for the people Act we
[281]
also have the provision that allows for
[283]
no rent or mortgage payments for up to
[287]
one year so this act is called the rent
[290]
and mortgage cancellation Act and this
[292]
was introduced by a representative
[294]
Ilhan Omar from Minnesota and basically
[297]
what's going to accomplish here is
[299]
canceling any rent or mortgage payments
[302]
on an individual's primary residence for
[305]
up to one year now how the bill is
[308]
currently written it would prohibit
[310]
double dipping so it's not like a
[312]
husband and wife can both take you know
[314]
take this credit but the bill would
[317]
currently include and this is it in its
[319]
current form full rent payment or
[321]
mortgage payment forgiveness for your
[323]
primary resident no debt accumulation
[326]
for renters or homeowners and no
[328]
negative marks on your credit history so
[331]
your credit on again not going to get
[333]
dinged because you didn't make the
[335]
payment now if you are hearing this and
[337]
you are a renter you're probably getting
[340]
really excited I mean the idea of not
[342]
having to pay rent for entire year that
[343]
would ease so much financial burden on
[347]
so many people in America right now that
[350]
have been laid off they've been
[351]
furloughed that they have been downsized
[353]
whatever the issue may be but if you are
[356]
a landlord and you're hearing this
[358]
you're probably not having the same
[360]
response but what is also included in
[363]
the bill is that it wouldn't establish a
[366]
rental property relief fund and the home
[369]
lenders relief fund both management both
[372]
managed by the Department of Housing and
[373]
Urban Development so basically all this
[375]
is set aside to help out with landlords
[379]
with with those that are have all these
[382]
properties because you know this is
[384]
their businesses is their livelihood so
[386]
the bill make sure it has something to
[388]
compensate for their financial burden
[392]
the stress that they're going to have by
[393]
not having all the rent payments that
[395]
they've been accustomed
[396]
- for however many years if you want
[398]
more information if you want to read up
[400]
on the emergency money for the people
[402]
act or the rent and mortgage
[404]
cancellation act or even the third
[405]
acting I'm getting ready to share I'll
[407]
have a link in the description for the
[409]
representatives websites where they've
[411]
shared more in detail what these acts
[413]
cover so that you can get all the
[416]
information that you need all right so
[418]
the third and final act this act is
[420]
called the getting America back to work
[423]
act and this was proposed by Senator
[426]
Josh Holley out of Missouri and
[428]
basically what he is trying to do is
[430]
create a refundable payroll tax rebate
[433]
that would cover up to 80% of employer
[437]
payroll cost up to the average wage and
[441]
we also establish every hiring bonus for
[443]
employees who were laid off and who were
[445]
later rehired now this doesn't act or
[448]
feel like a stimulus check but what it
[451]
does allow is an employer to be able to
[454]
bring back the staff that they didn't
[457]
want to let go so if you were laid off
[459]
now you can get rehired and not only are
[462]
you getting a paid but you also would
[464]
get all of your benefits that you had
[467]
whether that be health insurance and
[468]
other other coverages that you may have
[470]
had that now you don't have because that
[472]
you were laid off and the other reason
[474]
why this is being introduced because
[476]
could you imagine how inundated the
[480]
unemployment system is right now with
[482]
everybody that is filing for
[484]
unemployment I mean there have been
[485]
millions and millions and millions
[488]
people laid off and I can't even imagine
[490]
all the paperwork that they're trying to
[492]
go through I mean the IRS has got their
[495]
hands full but the unemployment oh dear
[497]
Lord I mean yeah yeah I definitely do
[501]
not I'm not envious of their situation
[503]
right now so that is the whole what this
[506]
getting back to work Act is trying to
[508]
establish you know just get employers
[510]
back in a situation where they can hire
[512]
their key people also to helping out
[515]
with the unemployment system so right
[517]
now these are the three acts that are
[519]
they are currently in the works
[521]
there's nothing guaranteed I think that
[524]
is I don't think I have to repeat that
[526]
then we get that we know that the
[529]
government can change on a dime and
[531]
nothing is ever certain until it is and
[533]
even with the economic stimulus checks
[536]
yeah it got passed and maybe you are
[538]
still like in disbelief because you
[539]
haven't got it yet
[540]
I promise you people have received it so
[543]
I can't promise you that you're gonna
[544]
receive yours government says you will
[546]
so I'll let you decide who you want to
[548]
believe on that one Archie I hope this
[550]
was helpful to you just trying to make
[552]
sense of all the craziness that's going
[554]
on if you haven't yet be sure to
[556]
subscribe this is Jeff rose reminding
[558]
you that it's your money it's your life
[559]
nilly you can make it awesome until next
[561]
time peace
