Samsung's response to their problem now

a quick search reveals it's happening

all around the country so we took the

complaints of to Florida moms straight

to the top it's the sound that grates on

wishes would just go away it's not

coming out because there's ice that has

accumulated and it's blocking this whole

thing but what is even more irritating

for her is what she has to do to her ice

maker

time and time again ridiculous usually

take me a good half an hour an hour this

is the ice maker here

crystal Jones can relate she bought this

new sleek four-door Samsung Refrigerator

last year it's not making ice now

because that's been in there since last

night she says she loves the way it

looks on the outside but says she's had

problems with the ice maker since day

one that's completely frozen at the top

and if I leave it alone it'll freeze all

the way around Jones says she's even had

repairmen out two separate times to fix

the problem with the fridge which was

still under warranty it didn't help so

her husband came up with this little

trick to keep the icemaker from freezing

over so now we just take our steam mop

and prop it up in there and let it

defrost then we'll have ice again 24

hours but you shouldn't have to do that

now what do you think should be done in

this case I need to find out what the

problem is and do a recall on all of

them we checked and while there is no

recall in place by Samsung there is a

class-action lawsuit that is currently

in mediation among the complaints parts

freezing up ice buckets that become

stuck and the build

of ice crystals all things we saw in

both Lisa's and crystals freezers so new

six took their complaints and the

complaints of hundreds of others to

Samsung corporate who then escalated

their complaints to their office of the
[148]
president within days the two moms

received these emails promising refunds

Heilmann says Samsung offered her just

over 850 bucks for her five-year-old
[160]
fridge and Jones got a full refund of

three thousand dollars for her newer
[165]
model if you were to do it all over

again would you have bought this

refrigerator and now I would have gone

with a different brand altogether I

would have paid two thousand dollars

more for the other brand to not have to

deal with this and that's not all these

women were asked to do although Samsung

is giving them money back they are

making them send back the serial number

decal and even ask them to cut the power
[186]
cord to the refrigerators and to send in

pictures proving they did both women

fought that and got to keep the power

cords in place at least until they get

their refund oh yeah that's great but so

you don't resell the fridge to someone

else of course well they don't want

someone else to have that issue because

I know terrible this is what they're

having them doing it's a story that has

so many people talking just when we were

when you were done earlier today someone

came into the green room and I heard it

was like I have that same oh yes it is

crazy samsung says if you do have an

issue you can call one eight hundred

samples I checked and local stores like

Lowe's here in Central Florida are still

carrying these refrigerators since they

have a contract with Samsung so buyer

beware ah we both have a Samsung

Refrigerator but you don't have not that

one you do no no neither yet but yeah
