Channel: unknown
[0]
On the Ingenico ICT250, generally this
will say " card point."
[3]
However the terminal is in demo mode
for this instruction.
[7]
First thing you're going to do is hit the green ENTER button for the main menu,
[10]
to go through the different options.
[12]
You have your up and down arrow here to be
able to cycle through the options.
[17]
First thing we're going to run through is a sale.
[20]
So hit ENTER. When SALE is highlighted,
[23]
select CREDIT or DEBIT
[25]
and then key in your amount.
[28]
When the amount is ready, hit ENTER
[32]
and then swipe, insert, or key your card.
[35]
On this sale we're going to do a chip transaction.
[39]
Push it all the way in
so the chip is inserted in the machine
[42]
So it can verify the sale.
[44]
It'll go through the authorization...
[49]
...then you'll get your approval.
[52]
Then you will be instructed to remove the card
[55]
and the receipt will print.
[61]
Tear the first copy and you can hit YES
or NO for the customer
[64]
or wait and it will automatically print.
[69]
On this receipt
you will see that there is a tip line.
[73]
Some businesses do not accept tips so
that would not be there.
[75]
There would just be the general signature line.
[79]
This is so we can go back later on
and show you how to adjust the tip
[82]
in a restaurant setting.
[85]
Hit the green ENTER button to go back to the main menu to see your options.
[89]
Now we will run a return...option number two.
[93]
Hit the green ENTER button on RETURN
[95]
and select whether it's a CREDIT or DEBIT.
[98]
Enter the amount of the return, then hit ENTER.
[102]
Then you're going to swipe the original card
that was ran on the transaction.
[106]
Or you can key-enter the sale.
[109]
So here we're going to insert the chip...
[113]
and it'll go through the authorization phase.
[119]
You'll get your approval and the first
receipt will print after you remove the card.
[131]
Tear the first copy and YES or NO for the customer,
or it'll automatically print.
[139]
To run a void on the Ingenico ICT250,
hit the green button to get to the main menu
[145]
and go to option number 3: VOID.
[147]
Hit the green ENTER button once highlighted.
[150]
If it was a pre-authorization, you would hit YES here.
[154]
In this case it's NO and in most cases
it'll be NO. So we'll hit NO.
[159]
Then it will ask you on a way of searching for the
transaction you can go through the
[162]
different options whichever seems
easiest for you.
[165]
Most of the information will be found
on the actual receipt.
[168]
In this case, I will select ALL.
[172]
And then you will see that here's a number of how many transactions are held in the batch.
[177]
You can select it with this button.
[180]
You can also use the UP and DOWN arrow
to go through the different transactions.
[184]
Once you find the transaction you need...hit SELECT.
[188]
and then it'll confirm void YES or NO? Hit YES.
[197]
Tear the first copy and the customer copy
can be printed with YES or NO
[201]
or wait and it will automatically print.
[204]
To do a tip adjust in a restaurant setting, you will hit the green ENTER button to go to the main menu
[209]
and you will use the down arrows to cycle through the options until you get to TIP ADJUSTMENT.
[214]
Once highlighted, hit the green ENTER button
[217]
and you can use these options to find your transaction
[221]
which all this information can be found on the receipt.
[225]
I will be selecting ALL to go through the transactions.
[228]
As you will see
there's only one in here that can be adjusted
[231]
and we can select that using
this key or the green ENTER button.
[237]
It'll ask you to enter the tip amount.
[241]
Then hit ENTER.
[243]
It'll show you the sale, the tip, and the new total.
You can hit ACCEPT.
[247]
Or if you made a mistake you can hit CHANGE.
I will hit ACCEPT.
[252]
It says the tip adjustment has been captured.
[255]
Hit the green ENTER button.
It'll ask you if you want to adjust another
[258]
which you'd go through each cycle of transactions
or you can hit NO if you are done...
[262]
and it goes back to the main screen.
[265]
At the end of the day when you're ready to settle the terminal, you'd hit the green ENTER button
[270]
to go to the main menu and hit the DOWN arrow
until you highlight SETTLEMENT.
[274]
Once you're at settlement, hit the green ENTER button and it'll ask you if you want to do all transactions
[280]
or credit or debit or if you had some type
of gift card account.
[284]
I will hit ALL TRANSACTIONS. It'll ask if we want to
close batch and deposit funds.
[288]
You can hit YES or NO. I will hit YES
[292]
and it's going to give you a breakdown of the totals
[294]
so you know exactly how much is
going to be deposited into your bank account.
[298]
You can hit ACCEPT or CANCEL if it is incorrect.
[302]
I hit ACCEPT and it's going to send off
to capture the funds.
[307]
Depending on how you're set up, the funds will be deposited next day or on a one-day hold,
[313]
depending on your parameters.
[316]
You'll get your batch out report...
[320]
and you are done!
[322]
That is the Ingenico ICT250's general functions.
