in this video, we are going to see how to to add transperent background to the images, from google image website.

Which greeting card would you like more from these two?

In right example, there is a white background behind the image. This does not look good

On the other hand, the image on left has no background, which looks better.

Many times, when we download images from Google, we usually get images with white background.

So let's see, how to download the transperent background images from Google.

On any web browser, enter images.google.com.

Lets take "Apple" an example for image search. You will get many images for Apple in search result.

Since the background of the webpage itself is white, it is difficult to understand whether the background is transperent or white.

For example the Apple here is in Grey background and can be easily identified.

Whether the image is having white background or not that cannot be identified here

So if I open this image with two Apples, I can see the white background embedded in the image itself.

So this image will be downloaded along with the white background

On the other hand if you open this apple image you will see grey and white square boxes in the background

The checkered-lboard background of the image indicates that the background is transparent.

So when we download the Image with such background, the image will be transparent and there will not be any white background in the image

This is what we saw in the gift wrap image earlier in the beginning of the video.

So if we see, the grey and white check boxes in the background, the background will be transparent.

When you search for an image by default you will see all the images including transparent and white background.

We also can apply filter to see only the images with transparent background.

Just below the search bar you will see an option as tools. Click on tools and you will see many options as filters.

When you click on colour as filter you will see many options like a black and white or specific colour.

There is an option as transparent that you can select.

Once you select this option the search result will contain all the images with transparent background.

So if you open any image from the search result, the image will contain the grey and white box background.

This confirms that the image would be with transparent background.

You can use the the image in your presentation or any document effectively.

The image would look better without any white background since it would be transparent image.

To use the image with transparent background all you need to do is, open the image and

check that the background has grey and white check boxes.

Right click on the image and select ‘save as’ to download it. Select the location to save the image.

You can open PowerPoint and drag the image in it. As you see, there is no white background associated with the image.

The image background is completely transparent.
