[12]
is another video I'm not gonna be
[14]
posting twice a week every week here's
[16]
this a bonus video hi for those of you
[19]
guys who just like randomly found me
[20]
my name is eco and I make weekly videos
[22]
about personal finance and sometimes I
[24]
talk about self-development check out my
[26]
channel for my other vids and yeah like
[29]
and subscribe don't hope you guys
[30]
enjoyed this video
[31]
it's good to get started so the featured
[33]
comments for this video like I got this
[35]
from like the same video last week Angie
[37]
Ackerman near to seven hundred subs
[39]
government graduations in advance dude
[41]
thank you so much which so close so
[45]
close to 1000 so I think you guys so
[48]
much for your support
[49]
last week I created an excel file to
[52]
track my neck my net worth and set some
[55]
goals for myself the best thing that I
[56]
go is like whenever I read homage from
[58]
you guys that you guys started taking
[60]
action after seeing my videos it's the
[62]
best thing it really makes me happy that
[64]
you can find some value in my videos and
[66]
that you guys are actually taking action
[67]
and watch all the videos you want read
[69]
all the books that you can read all the
[71]
articles whatever but if you never take
[73]
action a day well at it that's the most
[76]
important step so I'm really happy that
[77]
you guys are taking action good job
[79]
hanji the reason why I'm making this
[83]
video is that so you guys can take
[84]
immediate action action is the most
[86]
important thing so as much as possible I
[88]
want to help you guys take action so if
[90]
you've seen my last video I personally
[93]
have 13 accounts so I have three
[95]
categories for my accounts one is the
[97]
cash that I have on hand do are the
[99]
backgrounds that I have three mighty
[101]
wallet
[102]
this is them only I showed you my own
[106]
personal finance system this video I'm
[108]
gonna show you how to make how to
[110]
replicate the thing that I did before we
[112]
start talking about how to set the sheet
[114]
up I'm gonna show you guys how it all
[116]
works first mention it has four sections
[118]
so here in the upper left section it has
[120]
the account details the current balance
[122]
each accounts can add a visual reminder
[124]
here on how much you want to maintain in
[126]
each account in the upper right section
[128]
it has the initial balance
[129]
say you start making the sheet and you
[132]
already have balance
[133]
counts each of these rows reflects the
[136]
total gross transactions within each
[138]
account for the for each month the lower
[140]
part of the sheet shows my transaction
[142]
details this column has a drop down menu
[145]
of the type of transactions the color
[147]
changes according to the type of
[148]
transaction it was if it goes on income
[151]
it will become green investment purple
[153]
and so on let's say I reloaded my
[156]
undergo wallet from my home wallet say
[158]
it happened on January 26 2020 I made a
[161]
transfer let's say I subtracted 1000
[164]
from my home wallet and I reloaded my
[166]
on-the-go wallet if you guys are
[167]
interested in learning how to make
[169]
something like this keep watching the
[170]
video but we're going to go over how to
[172]
set this all up first of all like some
[174]
reasons why when you might want just
[176]
reuse spreadsheet instead of like apps
[178]
or other things it's free and
[180]
customizable you can build the
[182]
spreadsheet or the system that will
[184]
really fit the thing that you want to do
[186]
like what do you want to track how do
[188]
you want the traffic those kinds of
[190]
things like it's super customizable to
[192]
what you need what you want so yeah
[194]
that's one of the reasons why I like
[195]
spreadsheets so much the most important
[198]
thing is just to track your stuff and
[199]
whatever way you can if it's spreadsheet
[201]
or if it's apps whatever just use the
[203]
thing that will help you track your
[205]
things let's go dive this dive deep into
[207]
this video how do we set it up alright
[209]
so first of all let's start with a fresh
[211]
sheet of keep your system in thing if
[214]
ever you want to create like a target
[216]
visual reminder that this is how much
[217]
your account should have current balance
[220]
and then we can have like a section for
[224]
the accounts yeah
[226]
so yeah I'll drag this out so that
[229]
there's a lot of space and then we can
[230]
have like the initial balance column and
[233]
then it separates it into month so for
[235]
example January for example you have
[238]
back I don't know it's up to you how you
[240]
want to order this say you have two
[242]
banks on the go wallet and then call it
[244]
a home wallet if ever you keep money at
[246]
home say you have a good cash account
[248]
and then a pay Maya
[249]
oh yeah all right so I think this case
[251]
is good to start now tota let's see if
[253]
your pal tota hey let's say these are
[256]
all the house that you have now let's go
[258]
down to like the actual expense tracking
[260]
things - let's put a section for the
[262]
bait and then the transaction and then
[264]
the type so for the date it's very
[266]
self-explanatory input the dates of your
[269]
transaction like when it happened what
[272]
I'm gonna do is I'm gonna create a
[273]
drop-down menu so that you can
[275]
automatically select from the drop-down
[277]
menu what kind of transaction that was
[279]
right click on the create a drop-down
[281]
menu you have to look you have to select
[283]
the data validation here again this
[285]
isn't Filipino but that's okay it's the
[287]
bottom one here you have to select the
[288]
data validation yeah I'm just gonna say
[291]
I can worry I'm gonna divide it income
[292]
expense transfer if I'm just
[295]
transferring cash from one place to
[296]
another savings investment and now you
[299]
can see that if I click the drop down
[301]
menu I can select if it's an income
[303]
everything expansion we can spice things
[306]
up later we can do a holler later and
[307]
now we can go straight through the
[309]
actual balances of your account so I'll
[312]
just copy like what's up here that's how
[314]
people I have their back one back to and
[317]
then here on the go wallet and that's
[320]
essentially my tracking feed
[322]
we'll just make this better we'll make
[324]
this prettier so first of all in my head
[326]
there I'll make them bold I shall fix
[328]
the spacing stuff now we have this part
[331]
setup you guys can see that this is just
[333]
like a plain spreadsheet I just set it
[335]
up right now here we have the current
[337]
balance and in the list of accounts that
[338]
we have set for example back one back
[340]
two they are also bold in this this room
[343]
we want to see them clearly this is
[345]
essentially like setup now for example
[347]
you enter a lot of transaction and then
[349]
you always have to like scroll up again
[351]
to see the balance but you can do is
[352]
that you can actually freeze certain
[354]
rows so that it's always gonna be on top
[357]
you just select this um you can see that
[359]
it turns into a hand and you just drag
[360]
it down until like the portion that you
[362]
want to freeze yeah so that whenever you
[365]
scroll down you can still see the top
[368]
part I'm also gonna freeze the first few
[370]
columns so I also like bold in these
[372]
accounts this is essentially set up
[374]
already I mean let's say that you
[376]
already have some certain balances on
[378]
your accounts okay let's say in back one
[380]
year five thousand bank two let's say
[382]
you have three thousand one thousand
[384]
five hundred just filling this up and
[386]
say these are your starting balances all
[388]
right it's a bit ugly for now it's a bit
[390]
hard to see so I'm just holding shift
[391]
okay I'm just holding shift I'm going to
[393]
go to this drop-down menu financial
[396]
format so it looks like it has the
[397]
easier
[398]
so it's easier to read also I'll do it
[400]
for everything else is that I'm
[402]
selecting this cell I'm going to hold
[404]
shift command click the right arrow key
[406]
click the down arrow you should select
[409]
all the rows and the columns and now
[411]
we're just gonna change the format to
[413]
financial in order to go back up so like
[415]
you're in row in your row 1011 just hold
[418]
command press the arrow button alright
[420]
so now that we're here you can see that
[421]
whenever I type a certain amount the
[423]
format is like it's like money it's up
[425]
to you if you want to add the Capasso
[427]
symbol I personally don't want it so
[429]
what I wanted to do is that all of the
[432]
accounts here so I'm just gonna show
[433]
like the gross number of transactions
[435]
that I have for each account per month
[437]
so let's say January bank 1 just gonna
[440]
sum up all the transactions that I have
[442]
and let's say I'm gonna a lot until Rho
[445]
100 for that damage with a e14 to you
[450]
101 is ff14 to F 100 now what I usually
[456]
do is that I don't set up the next month
[458]
until I'm a sure I'm under this current
[460]
month is over and does it on current
[462]
balance I'm just gonna make it some the
[464]
song from the initial balance and then
[466]
some months then everything is kind of
[469]
set up it's more or less set up already
[471]
I'm just gonna put this drop-down menu
[473]
for like the entire column so what I do
[475]
how to do that it's just like copy it
[480]
okay so everything's kind of more or
[483]
less set up already
[484]
now let's just add the colors so let's
[486]
add colors to make it more if you want
[489]
it if you want to have more like visual
[491]
differences so that you can identify all
[493]
subtraction shot instead of me like
[495]
manually needing to color oh it's an
[497]
expense I'm gonna turn it red instead of
[499]
me doing that I'm just gonna tell Google
[501]
sheets whenever it's a positive number
[502]
make it green if it's a negative number
[505]
if it's a deduction make it red so we're
[507]
just gonna select these rows right click
[509]
conditional formatting we can set
[511]
conditional formatting so we're just
[513]
going to tell Google sheets that okay if
[515]
it's a positive number it's an added
[517]
transaction make it green but then you
[520]
don't go girl you can see that they note
[523]
the values that are bigger than 0 it's
[524]
green well the rest stay black if it's
[526]
less than 0 it's a negative number if
[529]
it's a deduction
[530]
make it read in there automatically you
[532]
can see like if it's a deduction it's
[533]
going to be read for the month of
[535]
January for example your bank number to
[538]
1500 it was deducted so we'll just do
[540]
the same thing leaders about command
[542]
shift I will write T and and down and
[544]
then conditional formatting and now all
[546]
of your ex transactions should be
[548]
color-coded now so you can see if it's
[550]
if you deposit it into another bath it's
[552]
automatically green and you can see that
[554]
it's automatically red because it's got
[556]
inducted how do I change the drop down
[558]
menu how do I make it colorful so we're
[560]
the same thing just create conditional
[562]
formatting right click conditional
[564]
format if I it contains the word savings
[567]
I want you to make it purple if the word
[569]
contains expense I want you to make it
[573]
red income green transfer yellow
[576]
investment purple as well I can just say
[579]
like the positive 500
[580]
I'd be doctored 500 message to my home
[582]
wallet and then the positive it to bank
[584]
one so yeah and then we can rename this
[586]
now let's say that this is like the 2020
[589]
cash flow if you want to like copy this
[592]
drop down menu because it all has the
[593]
format Santa you can just copy it don't
[596]
like the different rules
[597]
alright this part is self-explanatory I
[599]
wasn't able to film this part in
[601]
addition to the cash flow sheet I also
[602]
have a sheet which I called the 2020
[605]
overview so I mentioned that I divided
[606]
my cash flow sheets into quarters
[609]
because I feel like if I were to put the
[611]
whole twelve months into one sheet the
[613]
list of transactions is gonna get hella
[614]
hella long this is my Tony Tony overview
[616]
sheet for me to be able to monitor all
[619]
of my transaction balances within
[622]
certain quarters we're gonna talk about
[623]
how I track my investments in a future
[625]
video but for now let's focus on the
[627]
cash I'll just copy everything though I
[630]
just copy the order here three
[631]
categories there's the banks the money I
[633]
have in hand and my e-wallets so I have
[635]
two banks who wallets to e-wallets
[638]
alright
[638]
all of these balances are just taken
[641]
from this sheet so whenever I add
[643]
transactions and these balances changes
[645]
it'll automatically change the value
[647]
here so just to show you guys let's say
[649]
that I did something I subtracted from
[652]
my home wallet - 200 so you can see that
[655]
my home wallet is currently two thousand
[657]
three hundred fifty and now it's two
[659]
thousand one hundred fifty and if you
[661]
look here it's also two thousand one
[663]
hundred
[664]
so the way to do that you enter this
[666]
formula so it's equals the name of Daka
[668]
the name of the sheet you're gonna get
[670]
the value from remember to put it in
[672]
quotation marks like the single
[674]
quotation marks exclamation point and
[676]
then the cell number of where it comes
[678]
from so to say back 1 the balance of
[680]
back 1 is in b2 all right so yeah I'm
[683]
just gonna type 2020 cash flow q1
[687]
exclamation point B 2 and so on I'm
[690]
gonna do that I'm gonna repeat that for
[692]
all of the accounts and then I'm gonna
[693]
sum all of the banks so I'm gonna create
[696]
a sum of these two balances so on and so
[698]
forth and then the total cash I have I
[701]
would sum all of the categories of the
[703]
accounts I would have and the balance
[705]
that's reflected here should be equal to
[707]
the balance is reflected here flex this
[709]
to your friends and your family oh my
[711]
god get my elaborate friendship setup
[713]
like hopefully you guys he learned
[715]
something from like this set up and you
[717]
can get intellect get started like
[719]
taking action just what we want to do no
[721]
excuses just start whatever helps you
[724]
