Secret ways to remove hard inquiries from your聽 credit report. This is a big secret. Most people聽聽
[8]
do not know that you literally can remove hard聽 inquiries from your credit report and boost your聽聽
[14]
credit score in the process. I'm going to tell聽 you exactly how to do it with no fluff. Let's go.
[37]
I'm going to share with you a simple step-by-step聽 process to removing hard inquiries from your聽聽
[41]
credit report in about a week or so without聽 having to spend any money to do it. I'm going聽聽
[47]
to share with you a secret that I just learned so聽 that you can do this without getting your credit聽聽
[51]
report flagged. And I'm going to share with you聽 the biggest secret so how you can avoid getting聽聽
[56]
hard inquiries going forward. So, when it comes聽 to credit reports, you guys may be aware that聽聽
[61]
there are 3 credit bureaus, okay? When it聽 comes to personal credit, there's Equifax,聽聽
[66]
Transunion, and Experian. Those 3 credit reporting聽 agencies will all report all of the different聽聽
[72]
trade lines that you have. So, if you have student聽 loans, if you have credit cards, auto loans,聽聽
[78]
mortgages, pretty much all of the debts that聽 you receive will show up on your credit report聽聽
[83]
as a trade line. They'll also report when you聽 open the account, how well you've paid them,聽聽
[88]
what you owe them, how much the high聽 credit limit is, and things of that nature.聽聽
[93]
So, all of the trade lines kind of combined will聽 put together what we call a FICO score. So, each聽聽
[98]
of the 3 credit bureaus have a different score.聽 They should all be around the same because they're聽聽
[103]
all kind of reporting the same information. But聽 in some cases, you want to make sure that you look聽聽
[108]
at all 3 different credit bureaus to make sure聽 that the information that each one of them has聽聽
[113]
is accurate and that all of the scores are pretty聽 similar. You really shouldn't have credit scores聽聽
[118]
that are like 550 on one credit report and then聽 650 on another one and then 750 on another one.聽聽
[125]
That's not normal. They really should be all聽 within each other because they should all have聽聽
[129]
the same information on them and you want to聽 make sure that yours does. That's step one.聽聽
[134]
Because they all are used by different lenders聽 pretty much all three of those different credit聽聽
[139]
bureaus that I named you are all used by different聽 lenders throughout the world. So, all 3 of those聽聽
[144]
credit bureaus matter. So, let's talk about what聽 affects your personal credit score. So, like I聽聽
[148]
said, we all have those different trade lines聽 and they're all reporting different things on聽聽
[152]
our credit report and then we all have different聽 scores for each different bureau. However,聽聽
[156]
let's talk about what affects your credit score.聽 So, it's not just the trade lines. Of course,聽聽
[160]
though, you need tradelines but you're going to聽 have different types of accounts. For example,聽聽
[165]
if you have a credit card that's going to be a聽 revolving account, if you have an auto loan that's聽聽
[169]
an installment account, meaning you're making聽 monthly payments that are equal to each other聽聽
[173]
until the loan is paid off. If you have a personal聽 loan that may be considered an installment loan.聽聽
[178]
A mortgage is a mortgage. That's the type of聽 loan that it is. It is a mortgage loan. And so,聽聽
[183]
each different type of account will have different聽 weights on how it affects your credit. Now again,聽聽
[188]
I don't work for the credit bureaus. I can't tell聽 you their exact algorithm. But I'm going to tell聽聽
[193]
you some different things that affect your credit聽 score and which ones affect your credit score the聽聽
[196]
most. Now, of course, you want a different mix of聽 accounts. You don't want all credit cards on your聽聽
[201]
credit report or you wouldn't just want all auto聽 loans. You want a different mix of the different聽聽
[205]
types of accounts. The second thing that is very聽 important that's going to affect your credit score聽聽
[210]
is how well you pay them. This is a very, very聽 big deal. So, you want to make sure that you聽聽
[215]
are paying all of your accounts on time. Never聽 paying anything more than 30 days late. Even if聽聽
[220]
you paid it 15 or 20 days late, it's not going聽 to report on your credit report. But you do not聽聽
[224]
want to ever pay anything 30 days or more late聽 because that will be affected on your credit.聽聽
[230]
The next thing that is important and so important聽 is your debt utilization. So, if you have credit聽聽
[235]
cards using that as an example, you will have a聽 limit. So, if they give you a credit card and the聽聽
[240]
limit is $1,000, you really want to keep that聽 under 30%. So, using our example, you wouldn't聽聽
[245]
want your credit balance to go over $300. If聽 your limit is 1,000, you do not charge over $300聽聽
[252]
on that credit card. That should be like the max聽 that you would want to charge or you would want to聽聽
[256]
charge it and then pay it off before it actually聽 reports the credit bureau the next month, okay?聽聽
[260]
So, if you have those times, you're like, "No, I聽 got to... You know, I had to buy a plane ticket or聽聽
[264]
to get my car fixed" Or whatever. You know, this聽 emergency, just try to make sure that you pay聽聽
[267]
before it actually reports to the credit bureau so聽 that your credit score doesn't go down. However,聽聽
[273]
if it does go down because you pay... You know,聽 the balance was a little too close to the limit,聽聽
[277]
you can always go ahead and pay that credit card聽 off and then you will get those points back. So,聽聽
[281]
these are easy ways to increase your credit score.聽 But these things are very important to your credit聽聽
[286]
score. So, now let's talk about inquiries and聽 how they affect your credit and how you can get聽聽
[291]
them off. So, let's talk about inquiries, okay? A聽 credit inquiry is when someone checks your credit,聽聽
[297]
okay? When a lender checks your credit, they will聽 do what's called an inquiry. They will do usually聽聽
[303]
a hard inquiry and pull your credit report,聽 okay? So, on your credit report... And again,聽聽
[309]
you'll notice there's different sections. I'm not聽 going to do a whole lesson on credit reports but聽聽
[312]
I'll have your name and your information at the聽 top. You know, your name, your middle name, your聽聽
[316]
date of birth, your address, things like that.聽 And then it will go into the trade lines when you聽聽
[321]
open them what the types of accounts are how well聽 you've paid them. And then at the bottom, it has聽聽
[325]
public records. You know, if you have any charge聽 offs that are in public records, if you have any聽聽
[329]
judgments or liens that you know people have sued聽 you; those will be on your credit report and then聽聽
[333]
you have at the bottom inquiries. And these are聽 all of the different people that have looked聽聽
[338]
at your credit in order to lend you money, okay?聽 This is an inquiry. This is what lenders --Chase,聽聽
[344]
Wells Fargo, Credit Cards, Car loans, whatever;聽 what they will do and where it will report.聽聽
[350]
So, let me give you an awesome example on hard聽 inquiries versus soft increase and tell you how聽聽
[355]
you end up with a bunch of them and how to get聽 them off. So, let me give you a quick example. If聽聽
[359]
you've ever bought a car, okay? I've bought tons聽 of cars now. I actually buy cars in my business's聽聽
[363]
name and I absolutely love it because I don't have聽 to go through all of this. But I'm going to tell聽聽
[366]
you a story of maybe just 5 or 6 years ago when聽 I bought a car, okay? I went to the car, I filled聽聽
[371]
out the application. I said, I want to buy this聽 car and they were going to get me financed and聽聽
[375]
they had all these great financing. But what they聽 did was they literally pulled my credit and then聽聽
[379]
they just started sending that application to all聽 of these different lenders. And I ended up with聽聽
[385]
all of these inquiries on my credit report from聽 them sending it to all of these different banks.聽聽
[389]
So, just use an example. Say, I'm at the Nissan聽 dealership, okay? And yeah, actually, I think this聽聽
[394]
was a few years we were getting like a pathfinder.聽 This is a few years ago. And they sent it to Wells聽聽
[399]
Fargo and Chase and TD bank and this type of car聽 loan and this... And I had all these inquiries and聽聽
[405]
it tanked my credit score, okay? I literally lost聽 probably about 40 points just from them shopping聽聽
[412]
my credit score around to see what the best or聽 who would approve my loan, okay? Whatever. I聽聽
[417]
don't even know what the situation is or why聽 they did that. But you will end up... If you聽聽
[421]
shop for a car, this happens to a lot of people,聽 okay? Where you end up with all these inquiries.聽聽
[426]
And it lowers your credit score. So, every hard聽 inquiry is going to cost you about 3 to 7 points聽聽
[432]
on your credit score for each one that you are聽 denied for. Okay? Now, again, this is a tricky聽聽
[438]
algorithm. I don't know how they know which ones聽 you were approved for which ones you weren't.聽聽
[441]
But you literally lose about... On average, about聽 5 points for every hard inquiry that is pulled聽聽
[447]
and you are not approved for it. So, they sent聽 my credit report to like 10 different lenders.聽聽
[452]
Of course, only one approved it or let's say聽 7... Let's say 3 approved it and 7 didn't.聽聽
[456]
7 people didn't approve it so I lost聽 5 points for those 7. That's 35 points聽聽
[462]
off of my credit score. That's a lot, guys. So,聽 you want to get those points back because you聽聽
[468]
didn't do anything. You applied with that car聽 dealership and you told him I was buying this聽聽
[472]
lovely Pathfinder and that should have been the聽 end of it. But if they shop your car loan around聽聽
[478]
and they give all these inquiries, you can take聽 your power back and I'm going to tell you how.聽聽
[482]
Because this is how you get those hard inquiries聽 removed from your credit report. So, if you are聽聽
[487]
loving this content and you are loving these聽 secret ways before I get into those secret ways,聽聽
[491]
make sure you go ahead and like this video. Make聽 sure you share this video if there's people that聽聽
[495]
would enjoy this content and need to learn these聽 things. This is very valuable information. So,聽聽
[500]
go ahead and share this video with as many people聽 as you can because I want us to be educated. So,聽聽
[504]
let's now talk about the secret ways to聽 remove hard inquiries, okay? Because this聽聽
[508]
is super-secret, guys. You can actually dispute聽 that, alright? So, if you... The burden of proof聽聽
[515]
like I shared with you guys before, when it comes聽 to your credit report, the burden of proof is on聽聽
[520]
the person that has reported that information,聽 okay? So, if you have (for example) put in a聽聽
[526]
car application at this one dealership聽 and they shopped it to all these people,聽聽
[530]
you didn't necessarily give them proof that... You聽 know, they don't necessarily have proof that you聽聽
[534]
told them to pull your credit report, alright? And聽 so, the burden of proof is going to be on them.聽聽
[540]
Now, let me give you some secret things because聽 you're going to do these things. Alright? This is聽聽
[543]
the process, super simple. You're going聽 to go to a website called Sage Stream,聽聽
[548]
okay? Because one of the things that when you聽 dispute and you say, "Okay, I did not do this聽聽
[552]
inquiry. I should not have this inquiry." They're聽 not going... So, you say... Because you're going聽聽
[556]
to dispute this with the credit bureaus. You're聽 going to dispute this with Experian, Transunion,聽聽
[561]
or Equifax. Those are the 3 people that you would聽 send the dispute letter to. And I'm going to聽聽
[565]
get you that in a second. But those are the three聽 places that you're sending it to. But they are聽聽
[569]
not going to contact that lender directly and say,聽 "Hey, give me proof." They have their own system.聽聽
[575]
And one of them is called Sage Stream you go there聽 and you go ahead and you freeze your credit there.聽聽
[580]
And then the second one is LexisNexis. You聽 want to go ahead and freeze it there because聽聽
[584]
those are the 2 companies that the credit聽 bureaus will use to verify that information.聽聽
[590]
And if you have frozen those accounts and聽 said, "I don't want anybody checking them",聽聽
[593]
a lot of times they will just not be able to聽 verify it and it will get removed from your聽聽
[598]
credit report, okay? and then there's one more聽 step because I want you to send this letter, okay?聽聽
[603]
Because like I said, you're going to freeze those聽 2 things. I gave you those steps. Freeze them.聽聽
[608]
And then last but not least you are going to send聽 the dispute letter, alright? And so, the dispute聽聽
[612]
letter you're going to get directly from the聽 fair credit act, okay? So, you can look up fair聽聽
[618]
credit. There's a government agency and they have聽 a section in the law called 604, okay? And there聽聽
[624]
is a letter called form 604 that you can find聽 directly. You will download that letter and that聽聽
[630]
is the letter that you would put the inquiries聽 that you are disputing that you say, "I don't聽聽
[634]
recall these. I did not verify this. I didn't give聽 my permission." Whatever it is. You know, "I don't聽聽
[639]
know what this is." And you send that off and then聽 you send that directly to the 3 credit bureaus,聽聽
[644]
alright? That's it. But do not sign that letter聽 because then they will have your signature. You聽聽
[648]
don't want them to have your signature. And聽 that's it. And you put the inquiries that you聽聽
[652]
are disputing, you send that letter, you froze聽 in the 2 places that they're going to look.聽聽
[656]
Boom! They are probably going to get removed. So,聽 as a bonus because... I just... You know Noelle,聽聽
[661]
I just love sharing, sharing, sharing. And I聽 just have to give you all of it. I can't just聽聽
[665]
nickel and dime you. I want to make sure you聽 have all of the information that you need to be聽聽
[669]
successful. As a bonus, make sure again that you聽 don't sign the letter. Make sure that you send the聽聽
[674]
letter certified mail USPS, okay? So that form 604聽 letter that you are going to be using to dispute,聽聽
[680]
you want to send it certified mail USPS. That way聽 you have your proof of it, they'll take that more聽聽
[686]
seriously and it will get done. I've had this work聽 for me and lots of other students and this is the聽聽
[691]
secret sauce. Okay, guys? You use that form聽 that they gave you. You freeze those accounts聽聽
[695]
and then you send that letter and the most likely聽 they will either verify that those inquiries are聽聽
[699]
real or they will stay unverified and remove them.聽 So, you are wanting to make sure that they cannot聽聽
[704]
verify them because the burden of proof is on them聽 to verify that they have actual evidence of you聽聽
[710]
saying, "Yes, pull my credit." And again, if聽 especially with the car dealership situation,聽聽
[715]
in most situations, they do not have evidence聽 that you did it you did not give them your聽聽
[720]
driver's license and your social security card聽 and say, "Hey, Wells Fargo ,Chase Bank... All聽聽
[725]
these different banks, pull my credit." So, this聽 is why this works. But I'll give you one little聽聽
[730]
cautionary thing. If you actually were approved聽 for your credit card, okay? So, if you want to聽聽
[734]
have an inquiry with Chase, alright? With just聽 credit cards. This is just applicable to credit聽聽
[738]
cards. You do not want to dispute a hard inquiry聽 on a credit card that you actually receive where聽聽
[743]
they approved you on because they will most likely聽 shut that credit card down. So, you want to really聽聽
[748]
do this especially in the situation that I gave聽 you and be very cautious with it. I want you to聽聽
[751]
use this information smartly and appropriately聽 and only really dispute the ones. Especially like聽聽
[757]
with that credit card situation with the mortgage聽 situation where they've just pulled your credit聽聽
[760]
and just tanked your credit trying to shop you聽 around for a better loan. That's the situation聽聽
[765]
where you want to utilize this, okay? Alright.聽 Okay. So now, you have all of the secret ways to聽聽
[772]
remove hard inquiries from your credit report. And聽 it is amazing. Make sure you go ahead and watch聽聽
[777]
all of the videos in this playlist because I have聽 made an entire video series teaching you on this聽聽
