Friends!
[0]
Welcome to this new episode of Labour Law Advisor.
[3]
We get a lot of questions from members regarding PF,
[7]
that we have updated KYC in the online portal,
[12]
but it is still not verified.
[13]
But, the people who know that the employer verifies the KYC,
[16]
they say that the employer is not verifying the KYC.
[20]
We are not able to contact the employer,
[21]
or else, we have reminded him a lot many times,
[24]
he has still not updated it.
[25]
So friends, through this video, let's understand
[28]
how can we verify such a KYC.
[32]
Hi, I am Rishabh Jain.

[56]
If your employer is not verifying your KYC,
[59]
there may be 3 reasons for this.
[61]
So let's understand these.
[62]
Reason number 1 :
[63]
Most of the employers do not verify the KYC,
[67]
because their digital signature is not registered.
[72]
Also, the employers or the consultants,
[76]
do not update their digital signature,
[80]
or they do not know the process,
[82]
so what should you do now?
[83]
We have made a proper video,
[86]
how the digital signature is updated on the Employer portal,
[90]
and how is this to be verified with the PF Department.
[93]
Watch this video which we are showing on the screen
[97]
and also, on the i button above.
[98]
Click on this video,
[100]
click on the share button below,
[102]
forward it with your employer/HR/Consultant,
[106]
or if employers are watching this video,
[108]
share it with your consultants.
[110]
And register your digital signature with this,
[112]
and the letter that generated,
[115]
give it to the PF Department by hand,
[117]
or courier it to them.
[119]
This first reason of
[120]
digital signature not registered will get solved.
[123]
So, all employers, take care,
[125]
you will have to compulsorily register your digital signature.
[127]
As you will have a lot of problems later by not doing this.
[130]
And, a lot of things can take place
[132]
only with the help of a digital signature on Aadhar.
[134]
And soon, the challan
[136]
will also be verified with the help of a digital signature.
[138]
If your digital signature is not registered,
[140]
then you cannot even verify the challan.
[142]
And, if the digital signature is not registered,
[143]
you cannot even take the benefit of PMRPY,
[146]
which is a large benefit which the government is providing.
[148]
The second reason is that the employer does not know
[152]
how to verify the KYC,
[154]
after the digital signature is registered.
[156]
So, for this have a look at the video
[159]
which we have shown on the screen,
[160]
and also, on the i button above.
[161]
Click on the i button to watch the video,
[163]
and after the mid section of the video,
[165]
in the first half, we have shown
[167]
how the employee registers his KYC,
[169]
and in the second half, we have shown
[171]
how the employer verifies the KYC,
[173]
with the help of his digital signature.
[175]
So friends, share this video with your employers,
[178]
and tell him watch this video from the mid-way,
[182]
and understand, how the KYC is to be verified/approved.
[187]
The third reason can be
[189]
that the employer is not listening to you,
[193]
he has registered his DSC, he knows how to approve the KYC,
[198]
he has a dispute with you
[201]
or you have left the company and not informed him,
[204]
or your company is closed.
[206]
Due to such reasons, 2 things can be done.
[209]
First, along with along your documents,
[213]
if the company is closed,
[215]
send your documents to the PF Department,
[217]
along with an application to the local PF department
[221]
where you are already registered,
[222]
where your PF account is present,
[224]
an Aadhar, bank details and your PAN number,
[228]
send it along with your application,
[229]
where your UAN number
[231]
and your PF number is clearly mentioned,
[233]
the PF department will seed your KYC there.
[236]
And if your employer, where the company is still in existence,
[239]
but is not listening to you,
[241]
so let me tell you a solution to that.
[243]
You have to visit the grievance portal of PF.
[245]
So, lets go to the Grievance portal and
[247]
see how to lodge a complaint.
[250]
You can lodge a complaint against your previous employer,
[254]
that my previous employer is not registering my KYC,
[256]
or approving my KYC,
[258]
or verifying the KYC.
[258]
So let's learn on the Grievance portal.
[260]
So friends,
[261]
treat this Grievance portal as a means of last resort,
[266]
as there is no surity that you will get the results,
[270]
and also, there are chances that your employer gets angry.
[272]
So, its better, with the first 2 means,
[275]
try to speak to him softly and get the work done,
[278]
because when the work can be done with patience,
[280]
why should we fight?
[281]
When you search EPF Grievance on Google,
[287]
click on the first link i.e. EPFIGMS.
[291]
Let me open this in a new tab.
[293]
And here opens the EPFO Grievance website.
[297]
Click on register Grievance button here.
[302]
And a Grievance registration form opens.
[304]
Select the status, whether you are a PF member,
[309]
EPS Pensioner, employer or others.
[312]
In this case, you have to select PF member.
[315]
There is an option of UAN number now.
[318]
Enter the correct UAN number and double check it.
[323]
Also, enter the PF number and double-check it once.
[328]
Then select your office, which is your regional EPFO office.
[333]
There are a lot of options,
[334]
whichever is your regional office, select that.
[337]
Then, the name of the establishment, where you were working,
[340]
the full name of that company,
[343]
enter that correctly.
[344]
And then the address of the company in these 3 lines.
[348]
Next, we come to the name of the complainant,
[351]
You can enter your name there.
[353]
Next, it is written -
[354]
Is the Complainant and the subscriber the same person?
[362]
If they are the same, click on Yes.
[364]
In most cases, you will click on Yes.
[366]
The next question is
[367]
Do you want to have a password?
[369]
This means after you register a complaint,
[372]
to open it, would you want to password protect it,
[376]
or should the complaint open directly.
[379]
If you click on the password option,
[380]
Then, only you or anyone having the password can see it,
[385]
and if you click on No,
[386]
then anyone can see your complaint.
[388]
You can do as per your wish.
[391]
If you click on Yes, an additional row of Password appears.
[395]
Here, it is written there should be minimum 6 characters,
[398]
and minimum 1 lower case and 1upper case character,
[402]
means 1 small letter and 1 capital letter is to be present,
[405]
1 number to be present,
[406]
as here, 1 digit is mentioned,
[407]
and one of these characters is to be present like %, #, @, $.
[412]
As an example, they have given how a password should look like.
[416]
You can set a password in this way,
[419]
and you can also add a password clue.
[421]
If you ever forget the password, an hint,
[424]
which you can see and recall the password,
[426]
such a clue can also be entered.
[428]
And if you don't want to do all this, directly click on No.
[432]
And without a password, you can register a complaint.
[435]
Then, the address of the complainant.
[436]
Enter the address of the complainant,
[438]
then the pin-code, country, state, mobile number.
[442]
Here, there are 2 different options of
[443]
phone number and mobile number.
[444]
Phone number means, if you have a landline,
[446]
enter the code and then the landline number.
[450]
And then enter the mobile number, if any.
[452]
If you have both, enter both the details.
[453]
Then enter the E-mail ID.
[455]
If you do not have the E-mail ID, not an issue.
[459]
As you can see the fields marked with a red asterisk
[462]
are compulsory,
[464]
and the fields not marked with red can be left blank.
[469]
But, try to fill as many details as possible.
[473]
Then, lets come to the complaint section.
[476]
Grievance category.
[477]
In this, there is no specific KYC category, so click on Others.
[483]
And, in the box below, in 5000 characters,
[487]
explain your complaint.
[491]
So, in that box, write in English,
[494]
that your employer is not approving your KYC,
[497]
so I would want to sent a notification from the EPFO department,
[502]
so that he updates/verifies my KYC.
[505]
If you are not able to write, in the description,
[510]
we are giving you a small paragraph,
[511]
you can copy and paste it in your complaint,
[514]
and submit it.
[516]
Here, in the upload file, it asks for a PDF document,
[519]
there is no need to upload any PDF document.
[522]
Then, you need to enter the captcha
[524]
exactly the way it is written in the box,
[527]
and click on the submit button.
[529]
And, then your complaint will get submitted.
[531]
Maybe, it will tell you to check the form once,
[534]
to check if any information is erroneously wrong.
[536]
You can check that and then submit.
[537]
So, this was the Grievance Form.
[539]
The link of the website is epfigms.gov.in.
[543]
We will provide the link in the description also.
[545]
You can visit there and fill the Grievance form.
[548]
So, this is a small way how you can approve your KYC,
[552]
and share these videos with your employer,
[556]
and your work gets completed fast,
[557]
we hope for this.
[558]
Thank you for watching.
[559]
