Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I hope everything is ok with everyone.

So, here I am with a new video today. But first, thank you so much for your support

on the most recent video series that I began in the new year.

As a result, I am confident that my efforts have not been in vain.

I was feeling really tired today, and I had no desire to record any video.

But I had decided to do 7 videos in 7 days, and I just had two days left, so I didn't want to spoil this new year video series.

My topic for today's video was to talk about the students who arrived here in the January

intake and those who are coming in the May intake, all of whom desired to find a part-time job.

So, in today's video, I'll go over how to obtain a security license.

First, I'll give you an idea of what a security job means, how to obtain a license, and so on.

So, watch the entire video since it will be beneficial to you,

and watch it all the way to the end. So let's get started.

First, we'll discuss why people try to obtain their security license as soon as they arrive here.

Why do people favor it?

Because you won't become physically fatigued working in security,

most of the time you'll be sitting or patrolling.

You merely need to review the CCTV footage or record any suspicious behavior in your report.

That is why people prefer security positions, which also pay well.

The minimum pay here is $14 per hour, but in security,

it can be more than $15 per hour.

So, I'm going to talk about it so that people who have already arrived here

and those who want to get a security license can have an idea of how to do so.

This entire process takes approximately 1-1.5 months.

So, the first step is to find a company.

There are numerous companies in the area that offer security training.

So, the company I selected was Safety First Security,

and I'll include a link to their website in the description.

So we must choose a company and attend a 6-7-hour class there.

There, we'll be given live training in first aid and CPR.

Following that, we will receive a CPR certified certificate. The lesson you'll attend will cost $150.

So, for $150, you'll get one day of instruction and a CPR certificate

and they will provide you with a login ID and password for a website

where you must complete a 40-hour training course for the security exam.

This course is required in order to schedule a security license exam.

When you complete the training, you will be given a training completion number.

You have to use this number to book your security license exam.

So, first we must select a company from which we wish to obtain training,

then we must finish the 40-hour training, and last, we must schedule our exam using the training completion number.

I'll also let you know how much money you'll need to spend to get a security license.

So, you must first pay $150 for the training and then another $85 to schedule the exam.

So, let's suppose you've scheduled your exam within the next 10-12 days;

you must pay the fees and attend the exam at the place of your choice.

I chose a site close to me because my exam date was approaching,

and I didn't have a job at the time and was desperate for one.

So I decided to pick a site that was close to me. There is another location nearby,

but the dates there are not accessible, so I had to select another exam center.

So, in your exam, you'll have to answer multiple-choice questions (MCQs),

and you'll need to get at least 60%.

The training videos you must watch feature 5 practice papers at the end,

and if you solve those practice papers, you will have more than enough practice.

I don't believe you require anything additional to pass your security exam.

I only completed the practice papers and took the exam.

After two days, the exam results were announced, and I received an 89 percent.

So, as soon as your result is declared, you must submit your training completion number to the Service Ontario website,

where you must fill out a form with your information,

and you will receive detailed information about it from the booklet provided by the security training company,

and your security license will be delivered to you.

So far, we have included $150 for training and $85 for booking the exam,

and to get your license delivered, you must create an account on one-key and pay $75.

So, while the fees for training may vary depending on the company, the fees for the exam and license are set.

So, you'll also receive a digital copy of the license via e-mail, which you can use.

The digital copy takes two weeks to arrive, but the actual license can take up to one and a half months.

So, you can use the digital copy to find jobs.

So that was the entire process, from training to receiving the license.

So, as soon as your digital license arrives, you can use it to find work, like I did,

but I got a job at Tim Hortons before receiving any security clearances since I enjoy customer service.

Even though security positions are simple, you are not required to perform anything.
