basically two divisions they have their

it's basically amazon's spot market okay

they also have their contract division

if you have three trucks or more you can

bid on their dedicated routes

which pays a lot better i'm going to

right now how you today

can score a short-term

contract they do this in q4

because uh you know how busy they get so

they've got more work than their

contract division can currently

handle and so they offer it to relay so

how to do that and if you're not part of

this is something that you can look

forward to next year or whenever they

offer it to the relay board

if you go to the end over here

it says book contracts here you click on

now up at the top here this area here

is telling you what areas are available

right now and you have to know the three

digit code or you can come right here

through them okay but these are the

right now how this works so let's just

go down to the first one right here

so the first contract they're offering

is out of portland this starts on sunday

november 8th

and ends on saturday november 21st and

it's two weeks long

now this is a solo two position which

means

that this driver you can just click on

that this driver will perform a 37 hour

block

with a 10 hour reset okay so let me tell

you how that goes

this is this particular contract

is for two tractors so you have to have

now you're going to ask me about the

schedule what's the schedule what are

they going to have you doing

you don't know as a matter of fact the

only thing i can do from right here is

is that you don't know how many miles

tells me if these drivers are doing

three blocks in a week that they're not

driving very

far i mean they're not driving the

portland

um i can't even guess where they would

be driving to but they would each be

doing three blocks a week so it's not

like

going uh you know crazy distance

so and it keeps refreshing i apologize

um so um the um

the scheduling will come out

i have heard between 24 and 48 hours

before it starts this particular one on

november 8th

okay so

that's when um you get all the

scheduling and so forth because amazon

they can forecast that they're going to

need this work but they haven't forecast

yet

exactly the the particulars on pickup

times and

locations and so forth the other thing

to be aware of is

this block rate is guaranteed which
[430]
means that the whole rate

is guaranteed for instance let's say

that uh

they they cut this down to two blocks

instead of three blocks or something um

you're still going to get

paid the contract rate or if they drop a

block in the middle of your

running these two weeks you're still

guaranteed the block rate

okay that's important to note so the

only thing other than that is let's go

to something with one tractor

okay so if you have one tractor and

you're going

out of ontario okay ontario california

this particular one starts sunday

which means that they won't be doing um

it's a team

it's 119 hour block two drivers one

uh their trailer um and it's just

one block ten thousand

five hundred and eighty dollars and

for for the block and it's only one

that's what they're going to be getting

paid for the week and of course that's

the total contract figure right there
