welcome to FINANCIAL JOURNEYS ! My name is DAKSH BHOSLE I am 8 years old friends today
[11]
I am going to tell you about the world's costliest shares called Berkshire Hathaway
[18]
Warren Buffet was born in August 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska.
[23]
he is an American businessman, investor and a Philanthropist
[27]
he acquired berkshire hathaway in 1965 and he has been the chairman and CEO ever since

Welcome to FINANCIAL JOURNEYS.
[47]
MY name is KRISHNA I am 17 years old the world's most expensive share is worth more than 3
[54]
crore rupees per share.
[57]
STAY TUNED TILL THE END TO KNOW WHY
[59]
Berkshire Hathaway Inc class A shares are worth more than 400,000 dollars which totals
[65]
to about 3 crore rupees per share.
[68]
The reason for this massive price is partly to the credit of the phenomenal growth that
[75]
Berkshire Hathaway – warren buffet’s holding company has seen over 56 years ever since
[82]
warren Buffett acquired it in 1965.
[84]
The origins of this company go back to when Berkshire and Hathaway were two separate textile
[91]
companies and merged in 1955 to become Berkshire Hathaway.
[96]
Warren Buffett completely sold off its textile business by 1985 and made it a holding company
[104]
for several business.
[106]
Berkshire Hathaway completely owns companies like the insurance company GEICO, dairy queen,
[112]
Duracell, lubrizol among many others and has significant holdings in companies like apple,
[118]
American Express, coca cola, craft Heinz company and bank of America.
[124]
Back to the question Berkshire hasn’t once in its lifetime of over 4 decades ever split
[136]
its class A shares a stock split is simply an increase in the number of total shares
[142]
which reduces the price of the stock but it also reduces the percentage ownership per
[148]
share, if it didn’t make sense it will when I make a video on this topic that being said
[155]
Berkshire is not the only company on the list to not split its stock but it most definitely
[162]
is the only company with a share price greater than 85lakh rupees (115,000 USD).
[166]
It is the 20% annualized rate of return that Berkshire has given over 55 years that has
[176]
incentivized the ever-skyrocketing stock price of Berkshire Hathaway.
[181]
To give you an idea the stock price of the second most expensive stock lindt and sprungli
[188]
the popular swiss chocolate manufacturer is 82 lakh rupees and the most expensive share
[194]
in india mrf tyres is trading around 80000 rupees per share.
[199]
In fact Nasdaq stopped showing the stock price of berkshire hathaway temporarily in may this
[206]
year as the stock price began to exceed the maximum number that nasdaq’s servers could
[212]
handle and the stock exchange had to update its system to resume showing the stock price
[220]
of berkshire hathaway.
[221]
However, there is a very thoughtful reason behind this split resistance warren buffet
[226]
fears that if the price of the stock is split it will fall in the range of regular traders
[232]
and unserious investors who do not have the patience to hold the stock for the long term
[238]
and the stock would be exposed to extreme volatility and speculation by day traders.
[244]
Thought since the stock moved out of the budget of common individuals and mutual funds started
[251]
to create derivatives out of berkshire hathaway shares they created class B shares that are
[261]
currently trading around 20000 rupees per share the only difference between class A
[268]
and class B shares is that a class B share has just about 1/10000th the voting rights
[275]
of a class A share.
[277]
WARREN BUFFETT and vice chairman CHARLIE MUNGER have done a commendable job at Berkshire Hathaway
[284]

[291]
