[5]
therapist on the Internet in our opinion
[7]
of course Bob Morton's neuroma three
[9]
instant pain relief options at home from
[12]
a real patient say no more Bob we always
[15]
find when we develop a problem we get a
[18]
lot better at solving it because you're
[19]
motivated right yeah I mean our patients
[22]
don't motivate us but I mean when you
[24]
have it you really motivated right and
[26]
then you wanna really spread the word
[28]
that's right especially on this this
[31]
worked for me as well as some patient
[33]
you can have spreading the word
[34]
relatively easy treatment okay
[37]
speaking of spreading the word if you
[39]
are new to our channel please take a

second to subscribe to us we provide
[42]

[68]
seconds only alright
[70]
Martin's neuroma you know we studied
[73]
this a school a little bit and I don't
[75]
see a lot of patients with it who I
[77]
don't either right but I have and these
[79]
that you have it and then it happened to
[82]
me although I've had some patients yeah
[84]
I've had some patients with it and I've
[86]
had it myself and it was nice because
[89]
I've actually had it after seeing some
[92]
patients know I had it and then I saw
[94]
some flowers ready up you know was
[97]
loaded to just give them information so
[100]
what is Morton's neuroma I didn't look
[104]
up to see who Morton nor Martens actor
[108]
I'm sure he is yeah but if you're on the
[110]
bottom of your foot between your third
[112]
and fourth metatarsal the red spot is
[115]
indicates where and there is actually a
[119]
nerve or nerve bundle in here that when
[121]
it gets squished and tightened up like
[124]
in a tight shoe it can create pain and
[126]
it can be really painful if you've got
[129]
the worst I've ever had and I was
[131]
bicycling and I didn't have my
[133]
fitted yet it was a 50-mile bike ride by
[136]
mile 30 it hurt like crazy
[138]
I couldn't stop because I was racing
[140]
even though you're really not putting
[142]
full weight on it no no but it was just
[144]
tight and I was pedaling sure it felt
[146]
like someone took a vise grip on it and
[148]
just locked it on really tight it just
[151]
hurt like crazy so did that hurt more
[152]
than walking on it uh well that did
[156]
similar no that hurt more because I was
[159]
such a long time normally if you're
[160]
walking you're snapping you give some
[162]
relief right because when you take the
[163]
pressure off whether it's from a tight
[165]
shoe it could be from a tight shoe it
[167]
can be from high heels where you put
[169]
pressure on that makes sense I don't
[171]
wear high heels so I can't speak
[173]
directly for that but and also you know
[176]
tight shoes my ski boots do the same
[178]
thing I don't know what bike shoes ski
[180]
boots they're they're less forgiving I
[182]
guess but not the way he would used a
[184]
marker to make this market that's yeah
[185]
that's why exactly right take the
[189]
pressure off typically feels very good
[191]
immediately so how you gonna take care
[194]
of this problem oh there's one
[196]
technical way to test this although on
[199]
me it's called Mulder's understand yes
[202]
sign yep fine where you grab the foot
[204]
like this and you squeeze and release
[207]
when you squeeze if it hurts or makes a
[210]
clicking sound with associated pain it's
[213]
positive me negative no clicking sound
[217]
either no however when I put a shoe on
[219]
that's a little tight and I walk I can
[221]
feel the click and it hurts okay so my
[223]
molder sign is negative so these signs
[225]
that we have they're always not a
[227]
hundred percent real relation but it's
[230]
it's interesting because the shoe
[232]
basically acts as Mulder's sign right
[234]
because it clicks and it hurts right
[237]
exactly exactly so they're waiting Bob
[240]
they're waiting for what are the easy
[241]
quick solutions I'm gonna give you
[244]
example this there's a bike shoe that
[247]
actually that had all the pain with and
[249]
so what I did with this one is
[253]
the bottom of the inside just took the
[256]
insole out and you're gonna see what I
[257]
did here I taped in some pads that go on
[264]
the new pads yeah I actually put two
[266]
pads because one wasn't enough I put a
[268]
pad in there I taped it in and then you
[271]
put it in and put the shoe on and walk
[273]
around on it and you're gonna feel very
[276]
clearly if it's in the right spot if the
[279]
pad is too high and it's hitting that
[281]
neuroma area it's gonna hurt and what is
[284]
definitely not you don't want it to hit
[287]
no it's not spread the forces out on
[290]
that area it's actually to transfer it
[292]
to the arch right
[293]
if so you transferred it here so it
[295]
pressures here away from the nerve
[298]
bundle the pressure is here and relieves
[301]
it here and and that's what I actually
[302]
have here and there's I don't know any
[306]
specific formula to put the exact how
[309]
much how thick it is I'm sure it's gonna
[311]
vary per person to person they exist and
[313]
per your shoe so this is all for always
[316]
this is an experiment right you're gonna
[317]
try figure it out there's certainly no
[320]
harm in doing this right if it doesn't
[322]
work you you haven't lost anything but I
[324]
should have started this the other way
[325]
because the easier way than doing this
[328]
is actually sometimes if you just take
[331]
the insert out it's gonna give you a
[333]
little more room in your shoe and
[335]
sometimes that's enough just having
[337]
enough space in there and all depends is
[340]
that is that being irritated because it
[342]
shoes too tight or just because of the
[343]
pressure on there if it's from being the
[346]
shoe too tight
[346]
taking the insert out maybe and actually
[349]
I've got a new pair of bike shoes right
[350]
now that I'm fitting and with that one I
[353]
took my shoe spreader which I've used
[357]
because of my Morton's aroma so if you
[359]
have more Omashu spreader yeah you could
[362]
you could purchase one of these because
[363]
you may need it you know on a number of
[365]
your new shoes over the you know the
[367]
rest of your life and you put it in
[368]
there and you crank it down and you
[370]
leave it overnight with mine I did it I
[375]
went as wide as it would go and left it
[376]
overnight it got better but it wasn't
[378]
good enough so I put actually a really
[380]
thick winter sack on there you put it in
[382]
there stretched it a little bit more for
[384]
another day and that made a difference
[386]
so on that shoe I
[387]
take the insert out and I stretched it
[390]
and then I didn't have to put in the pad
[393]
the pads the metatarsal pad it's fine
[396]
that right so you got two options that
[398]
way and I said three the third one is if
[400]
you wear high heels and it's putting
[402]
pressure on there don't wear high heels
[405]
I'm sorry yeah cuz you're the metatarsal
[410]
pad is not gonna work with that angle I
[413]
mean you could try it and see but I
[415]
doubt it's gonna work Brad did you
[416]
invent us that I mean did you see this
[419]
anywhere did you just try this on your
[421]
own you know I can't remember you know
[424]
my my memories I had about 10 years ago
[427]
when I when I did this shoe I looked I
[429]
did some research on it so I don't think
[431]
I invented it Bob but I'm pretty sure it
[433]
was yeah someone else has been doing
[435]
this I know some people gonna say this
[437]
is really this is a podiatrist but you
[439]
know this works right all you know of it
[441]
and it's not invasive right well I think
[445]
it's really worth a try right so here
[447]
are some yeah and I just picked these at
[450]
it up at a shoe store you could cut them
[453]
up to fit and they got a little sticky
[454]
thing on the back but you don't have to
[456]
do this this route although you can see
[459]
what you can find online or just you
[461]
know a felt would work I mean you're
[463]
just have to play around with it the
[465]
carpet maybe you yep you could try
[467]
probably not a real thick carpet oh
[469]
that's shag but you know probably the
[472]
outdoor carpet sure ID that you have
[474]
laying around or just kind of holding
[476]
your carpet in the living room here we
[478]
go
[478]
being loved by your spouse's anyway
[481]
seriously it's a really nice option to
[484]
work in and when you get it right it
[486]
takes the pain away very quickly no meds
[488]
needed it's simply mechanically do you
[490]
feel walking or not oh yeah if my shoe
[493]
is too tight I had a pair of work shoes
[495]
I had to do this too and it was very
[497]
irritating sure Amy being work shoes as
[500]
far as words know there was there were
[503]
shoes yeah like this like this yeah yeah
[506]
and in the clinic okay there were nice
[508]
pair of echoes they're expensive too
[509]
sure they felt fine in the store I spent
[512]
a couple hundred bucks arm it's like
[513]
they're gonna last me a long time and
[515]
it'll they hurt so I figured it was just
[517]
worked out good
[518]
all right good good luck with your eyes
[520]
yeah and put your comments below let us
[522]
know what happens to you on this
[532]
