hi i'm steve and i've been a care credit

card holder for over 15 years

i was at my dentist and having a general

checkup and

they determined that i needed both a

crown and

a root canal on one of my teeth and i
[80]
thought i was going to have to put it
[81]
off
[81]
for a little while but they suggested

that i check

care credit and we did so i was able to

arrange the procedure that day we've got

three cats

toby damien and ryder ryder is

basically our shy needy cat ryder got a

respiratory

infection and he went from seeming to be

pretty

normal to being really sick in about a

24-hour period of time

when we took him in we knew that we

take me back to the very beginning where

did it begin

it began with the going in for a dental

exam and

finding out that i was going to have to

root canal and a crown oh on the same

tooth and so

i was going to initially put it off

until

i saved up a little bit more money of

course but they suggested that i
[158]
check and see if i could qualify for a

they called and i qualified and was able

to

set up the procedure for the next day

wow

so were you in any pain at this point

when you went to the dentist

did you know something was wrong uh at

that time i did not actually know

that there was a problem uh so that's a

good thing

most people are like i had this pain i'm

swollen okay so you go to the dentist

and they say hey

i have to have a root canal and a crown

okay and so how are you feeling about

um not very good because uh they're

pretty expensive right at that time i

think the

crown was around uh twelve hundred

dollars and

the root canal was another thousand so

gosh okay so they say but don't fret

like may give you total relief like okay

this is good and

it was what was really nice is because

they put it on a promotional

payoff then i had plenty of time to pay

okay and we have three cats currently

and that something was gonna

had to be done we had an older cat where

visits were always at least three or

they wanted to do extra tests because he

was older

three to five cats i have two and i feel

like i need more but i don't want to

push it so do they all get along

yes they all get along uh well most of

the time they get along

right times are territorial issues but

right

for the most part i haven't had any

problems and

my wife does foster does she

with uh yes with kittens under

the uh under six months or six weeks and

so those are hand-fed

how does she give them up

i don't think i could we've wound up
[298]
with three of them over the years okay

that's part of the fight we fostered
[302]
over 50 of them wow and you obviously
[305]
help

in this procedure as well when they're
[308]
that young
[309]
uh they have to be fed every four hours
[311]
wow
[312]
through the night oh so you guys are
[314]
setting a lot you got babies
[315]
infants basically so is this something
[318]
you guys have always done
[319]
uh yes so we started doing it because
[322]
my wife's a social worker and she
[325]
rescued some
[326]
kittens that were at a client's that had
[330]
fleas and were infested and
[333]
our vet said that either we could try to
[336]
do it or
[337]
she had a lady that she could give them
[338]
to and we decided we would try it
[340]
good for you so how long have you guys
[342]
been fostering kittens that would be
[344]
about
[344]
uh 20 years now does it give you peace
[348]
of mind knowing that you have it
[350]
should something come up oh yes it
[353]
means that if we're a little bit low on
[356]
money in
[357]
a particular month that one of them has
[359]
their
[360]
yearly appointments that we can still

get them in on time and make sure that
[363]
they're

healthy right if you could write a

or tell friends and family about just

your whole experience from the whole

care of your fur babies what would you

well i've actually told two of my

sisters had had dental

should check and see if their dentist

tell anybody that the very convenient

uh and not have to put off

uh taking proper care of your teeth or
