[14]
gone under the radar is now hugely in
[16]
focus
[18]
gore's guggenheim ticker ggpi is one of
[21]
the most talked about stocks in the
[23]
world right now across discord twitter
[25]
and the number one trending stock on
[26]
stock twits
[28]
i made a video about this merger
[30]
yesterday gore's guggenheim is taking
[33]
swedish ev care company polstar public i
[37]
made a video about this yesterday check
[39]
it out and i'll go into further detail
[41]
in this video

[64]
seen aabb stock
[66]
3x from the time of my video in
[68]
september
[69]
if you watch my recent petrotek videos i
[71]
covered the stock a few weeks ago at
[73]
only 11 cents telling you about a
[75]
potential buyout offer coming this stock
[78]
reached as high as 34 cents just a few
[80]
days later and even now it's a bargain
[82]
at only 18 cents the board of directors
[85]
currently has an offer on the table to
[87]
buy the shares at 74 cents per share so

[104]

[107]
encourage everyone to do your own due
[108]
diligence now let's dive into it
[111]
ggpi gore's guggenheim went public
[115]
with its ipo in march poor's guggenheim
[117]
announced his reverse merger with
[119]
polstar the pollster deal will be
[121]
supported by cash proceeds of around 800
[124]
million dollars from gore's guggenheim
[127]
and includes a pipe
[129]
or private investment in public equity
[131]
of 250 million dollars from top tier
[133]
institutional investors
[135]
polls there backed by volvo care group
[138]
and julie
[140]
also counts hollywood actor
[142]
leonardo dicaprio among its investors
[145]
polestar is a global
[147]
pure play premium electric vehicle
[149]
company based in sweden with a mission
[152]
to produce progressive electric
[153]
performance cares designed and
[155]
engineered without compromise they say
[157]
that they are
[159]
design focused electric performance care
[161]
brand harnessing refined performance and
[163]
cutting edge technology i have just come
[166]
across this seeking alpha article gore's
[168]
guggenheim pulls their merger should
[170]
entice ev bulls the spak gore's
[172]
guggenheim is merging with sweden's pole
[174]
stare in a deal value to 20 billion
[176]
dollars
[178]
unlike other ev companies that have gone
[180]
this back route poster has an
[182]
established business
[183]
and the company has further advantages
[185]
over rivals
[186]
valuation is a concern but the solid and
[188]
intriguing story and the lack of
[190]
enthusiasm towards ggpi stock seems like
[193]
a surprise
[194]
poster is merging with ggpi and
[197]
investors don't seem all that excited
[199]
ggpi stock gained just 4.7 percent on
[202]
the news so this article is from a few
[204]
weeks back just before lucid really took
[206]
off again and the eb boom was in full
[209]
flow again
[210]
when cciv announced his merger with
[212]
lucid it ran from 10 to 57
[215]
in contrast ggpi stock closed on that
[219]
friday at 10 24.
[221]
even with the heavy volume that the
[223]
stock had
[224]
clearly the appetite for ev specs had
[226]
dimmed but the more negative sentiment
[229]
towards the space may actually be
[231]
creating an opportunity for gore's
[233]
guggenheim stock
[234]
which doesn't necessarily deserve to be
[236]
lumped in with the other ev
[238]
manufacturers that have gone this back
[240]
route
[241]
pulse there is certainly not a mature
[242]
company but it is far more established
[245]
than the likes of lucid or fisker
[247]
looking forward there seem to be real
[249]
and significant advantages to its model
[251]
versus other startups in the industry
[254]
certainly there are risks this is being
[256]
valued at 20 billion
[259]
but they still need to produce and sell
[261]
a significant number of vehicles with
[263]
ever increasing competition from rivals
[266]
now this is something that i've spoke
[267]
about multiple times on the channel
[269]
before when it comes to these new and
[271]
emerging sectors the ev sector is a very
[274]
new one when you consider that tesla is
[277]
by far the most definitely the market
[280]
leader
[281]
and number one company in the industry
[283]
they were founded less than 20 years ago
[285]
and they have only really taken off in
[287]
the past few years
[289]
compare this then
[290]
with the rest of the automotive industry
[294]
with the likes of ford which were
[295]
founded nearly 100 years ago
[298]
so when you have these new emerging
[299]
sectors
[301]
there will be a number of new entrants
[302]
to the market
[304]
but over time only a number of these
[306]
will succeed
[307]
over the past 12 to 18 months we've
[310]
really seen tesla take off
[312]
in china we've seen neo go from around
[314]
one dollar to over 60 dollars a share at
[317]
one point
[318]
that said there's a lot to like here and
[321]
a far more stable story than most
[323]
industry participants have to offer ev
[326]
bulls need to seriously consider polster
[328]
and even investors less optimistic
[330]
towards the sector should be taking a
[332]
long look as a business poster has two
[335]
core differentiators
[337]
the first is the post there isn't
[338]
pre-revenue poster delivered 10 000
[341]
vehicles in 2020 three quarters into
[343]
2021 the company is estimating 29 unit
[346]
sales and 1.6 billion dollars in revenue
[349]
this year there's already a business
[351]
here even if the business at the moment
[353]
has some work to do post our projects
[356]
operating margins worse than minus 60
[358]
percent in 2021
[360]
now if these margins are concerning just
[362]
think about how many years tesla was
[364]
operating before they ever turned a
[366]
profit
[366]
the second way which posthair differs
[368]
from other passenger ev plays is that
[371]
the company already has a global
[372]
footprint established this is in large
[375]
part due to its relationship with
[376]
china's gili auto and volvo cares and
[379]
this is a very deep relationship
[382]
poststar vehicles will be manufactured
[384]
at existing jeely volvo facilities in
[386]
china and worldwide the pulster 3 a
[389]
premium sports utility vehicle launching
[391]
next year will have some of its
[393]
production located in charlestown south
[395]
carolina that manufacturing reach has
[398]
allowed polstar to move into new markets
[400]
10 so far with four more coming by the
[402]
end of the year and the company aims to
[404]
be in more than 30 markets with over 150
[407]
sales locations
[409]
but investors in the ev do need to be
[411]
cautious the sheer number of startups
[413]
and the flood of investment from legacy
[415]
ice manufacturers is going to
[418]
create intense competition yes the
[420]
market is going to grow
[422]
yes
[423]
subsidies are likely to help and yes
[425]
many customers are going to switch from
[427]
evs
[428]
from ice models but the market can only
[431]
grow so fast and the simple fact is
[434]
that there are going to be passenger ev
[436]
companies that fail
[438]
the good news for ggpi stock is that
[440]
relatively speaking pulsed air seems far
[443]
less likely than its peers to be one of
[445]
these companies the outsourced
[447]
manufacturing with glee and volvo also
[449]
limits capital needs
[452]
finally the existing
[454]
geely volvo footprint is allowing poster
[456]
to get out of the market relatively
[458]
quickly
[459]
current plans suggest
[461]
that three years from now the company
[462]
should have five different models on the
[464]
market there won't be too many ev rivals
[466]
that can stay the same providing a
[468]
potential competitive advantage there
[470]
are only two pure play ev models with
[472]
global reach polestar and tesla neo and
[475]
xping4 now are regional it's worth
[478]
noting here that neo are now beginning
[480]
to expand into europe through norway and
[483]
germany mainly it will be interesting to
[485]
see how this plays out for neo with
[487]
poles there being swedish there is a
[489]
scandinavian connection
[491]
and the german market is surely one of
[493]
the most competitive markets in europe
[495]
with the likes of bmw audi
[498]
mercedes-benz and volkswagen to name
[500]
just a few all being german
[502]
in fact volkswagen announced
[505]
big ev plans earlier this year that seen
[508]
the share price gain about 20 overnight
[510]
back in march
[512]
however polls there has a far lower
[513]
valuation than any of those peers as we
[516]
can see here
[517]
but there are risks
[519]
first and foremost the level of
[521]
competitors which i just spoke about
[524]
then many things can go wrong a massive
[526]
recall battery or range problems or
[529]
simply a launch that receives a soft
[531]
reception now i don't agree with this
[533]
for the simple fact that these are risks
[536]
for absolutely every care company every
[539]
care company has produced some model
[540]
that has failed to sell as well as its
[542]
other models
[543]
every car company has had to recall cars
[545]
at some point for various reasons
[547]
usually it's not a major problem and
[549]
just requires the dealership to replace
[551]
a certain part but it can produce
[553]
negative pr
[555]
think of volkswagen
[557]
with their emissions controversy
[559]
tesla have had their controversies over
[561]
the years
[562]
the manufacturing agreement with gili
[566]
does limit cash burn and provide a
[567]
faster route to market but it also
[570]
depresses long-term margins gross
[573]
merchants are targeted at just 22
[575]
percent in 2025 tesla hit 27 in the
[578]
first half of this year
[580]
first of all a gross margin of 22 is not
[583]
bad yes tesla has hit 27
[586]
but how many years did tesla have lower
[588]
margins than this just look at the share
[590]
price over the past year at tesla
[593]
compared to the previous 10 years
[595]
the author here then points out some
[597]
poor reviews for the poster too
[599]
motor trend said it was a little
[601]
disappointing
[602]
car
[603]
gave the poster 2 and 8 out of 10
[606]
while similarly giving it a modestly
[609]
negative comparison to the model 3
[612]
top gear assigned an 8.5 out of 10
[614]
rating
[615]
first of all
[617]
this is comparing a new ev company's
[619]
care
[620]
to the market leaders care
[622]
and personally i don't see how a rating
[624]
of 8 or 8.5 out of 10 are considered bad
[627]
reviews
[628]
let's not forget that wards auto have
[631]
chosen poster 2 as one of 2021's best
[634]
engine and propulsion system winners as
[637]
well as this year's best aux winners
[640]
saying that the near perfect blend of
[642]
the bev formulation post r2 is a blast
[645]
to drive
[646]
and say that this is one of the most
[648]
intuitive efficient
[650]
human machine interfaces ever
[651]
encountered in a care the ipo price
[654]
plays an enterprise valuation of just 20
[656]
billion on pollster the transaction will
[659]
result in approximately 995 million
[662]
dollars of cash added to posters balance
[664]
sheet to go towards funding its business
[666]
plan and future model launches so to
[669]
have nearly one billion of cash at its
[671]
disposal will be significant
[673]
and poster price of 20 billion dollars
[676]
means that it is three times its 2023
[679]
estimated revenue and 1.5 times its 2024
[683]
estimated revenue
[685]
this is very favorable when compared
[688]
with its u.s peers lucid and tesla who
[691]
have 10.8 times and 6.5 times
[695]
of their 2023 estimates and 9.3 and 3.6
[700]
times the 2024 estimates now this
[703]
investors presentation
[705]
is from its merger announcement in
[707]
september so i have adjusted these
[708]
figures to reflect the current price
[710]
changes
[712]
tesla was trading at over 1200 before
[715]
elon musk decided to crash the price
[717]
with a huge sell-off
[719]
at that price
[721]
tesla would have been 63 percent above
[724]
the price in this presentation
[726]
or trading at 15 times projected 2024
[729]
revenue
[730]
lucid at the time of this presentation
[732]
was only about twenty four dollars so it
[734]
is currently seventy five percent above
[736]
that price and therefore about six times
[739]
2024 estimated revenue
[742]
ggpi was trading
[744]
at ten dollars at the time
[747]
now this is up to 1281.
[749]
so that's a 28 rise so the current price
[752]
is still less than two times its 2024
[755]
estimated revenues
[757]
which is an extremely low
[759]
valuation in my opinion
[761]
and this is reflected by alec goes who
[764]
said that the spac deal represented a
[766]
great entry point into pollster because
[768]
ggpi was conservative in its valuations
[772]
this stock has got huge gains to make
[774]
yet and pulse there also compares very
[776]
well to neo and x-ping
[779]
who each have market capitalizations far
[781]
in excess of pollsters 20 billion
[783]
valuation
[785]
when it comes to projected growth over
[786]
the next four years we can see that pole
[789]
star is second to only lucid on the
[791]
annual growth rate projections
[794]
now it's worth noting here that tesla is
[796]
the lowest of these but that is because
[798]
tesla is very much the market leader
[801]
tesla is the most established and is a
[803]
leader in the ev sector
[805]
lucid is due to publish its first
[807]
earnings report on monday and has only
[809]
began
[810]
its very first deliveries in the past
[812]
two weeks
[814]
over the next four years it's expected
[816]
that pole stair two three and four are
[818]
expected key drivers of volume from 2003
[822]
onwards mainly from the launch of the
[825]
latter two models resulting in
[826]
significant sales increases
[829]
