How To Buy Cryptocurrency on Voyager App | BEGINNER FRIENDLY - YouTube
Channel: Unblocking the Blockchain with Jonathan Dunkerley
[0]
Welcome to unblocking the chain.
[1]
My name is Jonathan, and I'm
here to take you along my
[4]
crypto and blockchain journey.
[6]
Just learning everything that I learned,
I'm going to be sharing with you.
[9]
First off I wanted to let you
know, I am not a financial advisor,
[11]
I'm sharing, what I'm learning.
[13]
So please make sure to do your own
research and your own due diligence.
[16]
So this is the mobile only app.
[19]
It's called Voyager and
Voyager is a pretty good app.
[23]
I haven't had no complaints so far as
far as being able to buy the crypto and
[28]
being able to do anything like that.
[29]
I bought it through the app store.
[30]
It was completely free.
[30]
If you're here.
[31]
There's this little thing, that
little person in the top left corner.
[34]
I'm just going to pull it up just
to protect my personal information.
[37]
This is the mobile app, for Voyager.
[39]
And if you want it to buy some
crypto through Voyager, there's
[42]
a few different ways that you can
actually get crypto into this wallet.
[45]
And one is through, transferring
it from a bank account.
[48]
So if you want to just transfer, see if
you're starting brand new and you're just
[50]
trying to buy crypto for the first time
and you want to use this Voyager app.
[55]
So all you have to do is you
have these options right here,
[58]
so you have, bank accounts.
[60]
When you click on bank account, mine
currently shows the bank account that
[63]
I have linked, but if you click the
little plus you can click, sorry.
[67]
I'm having, trying to click it
on the screen, not on my phone.
[69]
So you click the little plus.
[73]
And it'll bring up this page.
[74]
This is, Plaid?
[76]
I've seen this all over the place, not
just in crypto different sites that
[79]
want to link your bank account to them.
[81]
It's a secure third party that,
that basically links your account.
[85]
Your bank of.
[86]
To the exchange without the exchange,
actually getting your bank information.
[89]
Take a look at it.
[90]
Like this one.
[91]
There's plenty of other exchanges
that use the same exact one.
[94]
So you'll just, you'll punch in your
personal information as far as like.
[98]
It's like a login.
[99]
You find your bank, you search for
your bank and then you would, you would
[103]
punch in whatever your username and
your password is that you log in to your
[106]
online banking and it lets you pick your,
your bank account that you want to use.
[111]
So at that point you've linked your
account and it happens instantly.
[114]
There's a couple of different options.
[115]
I'm not going to get into anything else
except for the transfer cash or crypto.
[119]
And you could click that one.
[121]
You have a couple of different options.
[122]
You have transfer USD, which if you are
transferring from your bank account, you
[127]
click that deposit to Voyager and then
you'd be able to click the right ones.
[131]
So if you click deposit USD, you
just literally put the amount.
[135]
You're limited to 5,000.
[137]
You put the amount and then
it has like swipe and it will
[141]
automatically start the transfer.
[143]
And then if you want to withdraw, you
made a profit or you're just, you just
[147]
changed your mind and you want to send
the money back to your bank account.
[150]
It's the exact opposite
withdrawal and that's cash.
[153]
Then there's also this transfer crypto.
[155]
And if you're going to do these
ones, it is also very simple.
[160]
The receive is just you get your wallet
address that you can give to another
[164]
exchange or wallet to bring money in.
[166]
But if you did this, you'd basically,
this is the transfer money out.
[170]
So whatever you have, so say that
you bought Bitcoin, then you would
[174]
be able to just go click on Bitcoin.
[177]
I don't have any in my account right
now, so it's not going to let me do it.
[180]
But it would bring up a account
that I could get the key in order
[185]
to send it to the other account.
[187]
But that is basically how you, you
get the money into your account.
[190]
But if you're going to buy the
crypto right here, you just go back
[194]
to the main page and you'd pick
the currency that you want to buy.
[198]
And you hit like, so this is Bitcoin
say I wanted to buy, actually
[202]
I say I wanted to buy Ethereum.
[203]
If I wanted to buy a ethereum, I would
just click that and it bring up this page.
[207]
I could see the charts.
[208]
There's a couple of little things
here and there that you, you know,
[211]
but if I wanted to say buy I'd
hit buy the little thing buy ETH.
[216]
And then there's a couple
of different options here.
[219]
So let me bring this down.
[220]
So you could see, so you have
a market and a limit order.
[222]
A market order is basically buying
what it's at right now, the current
[225]
price and the limit order is if you
want to have like, ETH for instance,
[231]
if I wanted to buy the ETH currently
it's valued at $2,883 per ETH.
[238]
But if I wanted to say,
okay, I'm going to buy.
[242]
A certain amount of ETH at, I don't
have any dollars in my account right
[246]
now, but you'll get the idea if I
wanted to buy a certain amount of ETH.
[249]
But I wanted to be at say
$2,800 instead of 2,882.
[257]
So I wanted to go down in
value $82 before I buy it.
[261]
Then I could do that and it would
just, I'd say how much I wanted
[264]
to spend on it at what price.
[266]
And then it would fill in the.
[268]
When it hits that point and not,
whatever the current price is.
[271]
So that's a good way for you to
actually potentially make up a
[274]
couple of fees here and there.
[275]
If you, if you buy, if you see a dip
coming and you want to buy it on a dip
[279]
and then you could take that money and
you could send it to whatever other
[281]
exchange or whatever you're trying
to do with your crypto, trade it, buy
[284]
NFTs, whatever you're doing, but that
way you could potentially avoid the
[288]
fees or the blockchain fees, like gas
with Ethereum and stuff like that.
[292]
So it's super simple.
[293]
And then like I showed you earlier,
that's how you transfer the money back.
[297]
That is the entirety of how you
buy cryptocurrency with Voyager.
[302]
It's pretty cool.
[303]
I dropped a link in the description.
[304]
If you want to try the Voyager, I know
that if you trade a hundred dollars,
[308]
they give you a free $25 in Bitcoin.
[311]
And it also helps support the
channel as I also get 25, if you go
[314]
through my link, which I appreciate,
but , if not than no worries.
[317]
It's a pretty good exchange.
[318]
It's very simple.
[320]
So if you're just trying to buy the
crypto and send it somewhere that doesn't
[324]
have all the bells and whistles that
some of the other exchanges have, or the
[327]
places to buy, but it's pretty simple.
[329]
And it does have limit orders,
which is very nice because a lot
[332]
of the ones they don't have limit
orders and that makes it kind of a.
[336]
Kind of difficult.
[337]
I also want to say, Hey, if
you want to join the community,
[339]
we have a discord server.
[341]
I drop a link in the description.
[342]
We're just starting to grow it.
