These are the Republicans who voted 'yes' on infrastructure bill - YouTube

[0]
after the house passed the 1.2 trillion
[3]
dollar infrastructure bill president
[4]
biden boasted about his spending spree
[7]
take a listen
[9]
finally
[10]
infrastructure week
[11]
[Laughter]
[15]
i'm so happy to say that we did
[17]
something that's long overdue
[20]
that long has been talked about in
[21]
washington but never actually been done
[25]
infrastructure week but the bill only
[27]
includes 110 billion dollars going to
[30]
actual infrastructure roads bridges and
[32]
other
[33]
transformational projects and get this
[36]
13 republicans voted for the massive
[38]
bill six members of the squad voted
[41]
against it all right so this bill 1.2
[44]
trillion dollars i remember when we
[46]
first started talking about this bill
[48]
and everyone was like whoa that is a
[49]
huge price tag not only that it's not
[52]
all infrastructure there's some human
[53]
infrastructure in there as well so
[55]
alicia i'm gonna bring this up because
[57]
joe sort of uh said you've been
[59]
anchoring for a long time last last
[61]
segment so i'm sure you were anchoring
[63]
when president obama passed the 800
[66]
billion that's with a b dollar stimulus
[68]
package so how do we compare those two
[70]
numbers because at the time people were
[71]
like wow 800 billion that's a lot of
[73]
money now we're talking 1.2 trillion
[75]
yeah we're really getting used to and
[77]
i've been anchoring since i was 15
[79]
remember joe just
[80]
yes keep that in your mind but yeah
[82]
we're really getting used to well thank
[84]
you we're really getting used to some
[85]
big numbers and it's getting to be
[87]
really frightening um i think it's going
[89]
to be very interesting going into the
[91]
midterms how all of this plays out or
[93]
even if folks remember because maybe
[96]
we'll be talking about even higher
[98]
packages at some point it's a little
[99]
scary but you know republicans really
[101]
had a moment there um while democrats
[104]
were really just beating the heck out of
[106]
each other within their own party
[107]
because they were dealing with this
[108]
civil war now you have these 13
[111]
republicans who've stirred up
[113]
just a hornet's nest in their own party
[115]
and now you have this other fight where
[116]
it really was a moment for them to come
[118]
together and let democrats just sort of
[120]
like take care of things themselves and
[122]
they've been tripping over themselves as
[124]
we saw in the election night on tuesday
[126]
so we'll continue to watch this i do
[128]
fear abby that
[130]
i think a lot of americans out there
[132]
fear that these numbers will continue to
[134]
go up as we become um ever used to
[138]
eye-popping numbers which were once
[140]
eye-popping and are no longer
[142]
well you think that maybe this is what's
[144]
happening with the buildback better plan
[146]
that's estimated to be 1.5 trillion well
[148]
it's said to be 1.75 trillion but
[151]
estimates say it could go up to 4
[153]
trillion but i want to pick up what you
[155]
said on those 13 republicans i think we
[157]
have a full screen of who voted um other
[160]
full screen
[162]
yeah the 13 okay so here are the 13
[164]
republicans we know that six far left
[166]
progressives voted against this we kind
[168]
of knew that was going to happen because
[170]
a lot of them said we're not going to
[171]
vote for infrastructure until we get
[173]
this build back better plan pushed
[174]
through so charlie what do you say of
[176]
the 13 republicans who did vote for this
[178]
bill while the six far left progressives
[181]
did not
[183]
well sadly i'm not terribly surprised
[186]
that uh that they managed to pick up a
[188]
handful of republicans to go along with
[190]
this any time you put a room full of
[192]
democrats and a room full of republican
[194]
politicians in a room and they spend six
[197]
months talking about spending trillions
[199]
of dollars
[200]
one thing you can guarantee is that
[203]
before the meeting is all over with
[205]
they're going to figure out how to spend
[206]
at least a trillion dollars these people
[208]
it's like the last frontier of
[210]
bipartisanship when it comes to
[211]
politicians in in washington but it and
[214]
that and that's not to belittle or uh
[216]
make light of what a serious issue this
[218]
is of course the biggest lie that
[220]
anybody tells is this lie about how it's
[223]
all paid for it's not all paid for every
[226]
dime of the 28 trillion dollars that
[229]
your children and your grandchildren
[231]
will never live to pay off every time of
[233]
that was paid for when uh when congress
[236]
sent it uh spent it and we're just years
[238]
away before we're going to hit a
[240]
situation where it's going to suddenly
[242]
be really difficult to make uh debt
[244]
payments it's going to be really
[245]
difficult to pay our obligations on
[248]
social security and things like this so
[250]
so there will be a time and it's not and
[252]
it's not far away when i think uh
[255]
suddenly the american voter is going to
[256]
start punishing politicians who went
[259]
through blew through all of this money
[261]
and spent like drunken sailors i do
[263]
think it's interesting though that about
[264]
the most honest thing that
[266]
joe biden said was when he said that uh
[268]
talked about how long overdue this
[270]
infrastructure bill was yeah it's long
[272]
overdue in that for the past five years
[275]
donald trump was clamoring to spend this
[277]
kind of money on real infrastructure and
[280]
democrats refused to go along with it
[282]
for the past five years because they
[284]
didn't want to give them a win and
[286]
because they they wanted to spend their
[288]
time talking about all these crazy
[290]
conspiracy theories that we now know are
[292]
all lies and should have known at the
[294]
time about russia
[296]
yeah we don't have a lot of time left
[297]
but let's just throw up what's inside of
[299]
that massive spending uh social spending
[302]
package 555 billion dollars tax credits
[306]
for clean new energy you can read them
[307]
all there we're waiting for the cbo
[309]
score to tell us how much this bill will
[311]
actually cost but in the meantime joe
[313]
what are moderate democrats and
[314]
republicans thinking about before the
[316]
expected vote the week of november 15th
[320]
well they're thinking about what's it
[321]
going to cost right and that's why
[322]
they're waiting for that cbo uh
[325]
particular score that'll be out probably
[326]
before thanksgiving but also is there
[328]
even a home for us anymore as far as our
[332]
parties are concerned but dan bongino
[334]
had a great quote today i actually
[336]
stopped and rewounded on fox and fox and
[337]
friends he said quote some republicans
[340]
on capitol hill are actually democrats
[342]
but no democrats on capitol hill are
[343]
actually republicans yeah that about
[345]
sums it up and please don't buy this
[347]
argument by the way that americans
[348]
overwhelmingly want improvements to
[350]
roads bridges and rail and airports and
[353]
power grids of course they do but that's
[354]
not what this is about it's like buying
[356]
a home all right this infrastructure
[358]
bill next to a toxic waste dump sure the
[361]
home is nice but what you get with it
[363]
ain't and what you're going to get with
[365]
it now what this sets the road for is
[367]
that human infrastructure bill right and
[369]
and in this case you're going to get a
[370]
massive government expansion trillions
[372]
of more dollars spent at a time where
[374]
core inflation is already at a 30-year
[375]
high gas prices are going through the
[377]
roof there's a supply chain shortage
[378]
that we talked about at least through
[380]
2022 and all they had to do was vote
[382]
against this and wait to win back the
[384]
house and senate in 12 months which will
[386]
happen given the president's poll
[387]
numbers and then tackle infrastructure
[389]
the right way as a stand-alone bill with
[391]
no pork and actual fixes and improving
[394]
things of course that didn't happen i'll
[395]
leave it here kevin mccarthy now is in
[397]
serious trouble as house majority
[399]
speaker pelosi delivered mccarthy didn't
[401]
and that is your scoreboard right now
[404]
no pork but very expensive turkey as we
[406]
come up on thanksgiving
