I can barely see it in the scope. I may have bit off more than I can chew

Hey Kirsten Joy Weiss here, and I have a very unusual gun by my side

This is a stainless steel very heavy Volquartsen inferno stock adjustable

22 I just got it yesterday, and thought why not break it in right and do a long range

22 shot I'm gonna do it offhand

Yep at 300 yards. Yes, you heard me correctly

300 yards and I'm not just gonna shoot some big old plate downrange guess What size the target is this size

exactly this size because we are going to shoot an egg or try to I

Think I might be a little out of my mind because this is about an inch and a half roughly

300 yards 3 inches is 1 MOA. So this is a half MOA at

300 yards

Now someone told me that the equivalent of a

22 at 300 yards is about a 308 at a thousand, but I'm not sure if that's exactly true

I haven't done the math myself, so if you know the answer to that put it down in the comments. I think that that's

Equation is not exact only because to shoot a 22 at 300 yards a 22 loses a lot more oomph

Than a 308 at a thousand because they're not meant to shoot that far, but we're gonna do it today. I sure hope

So as always I will show my misses and we will have a great time, so let's give it a shot

So it's definitely not a lot of room for error

I picked an adjustable stock, and I chose that stock only because when you're shooting precision

Especially this precise there's no room for error, so I need my cheek to be exact

I might do a video on that in the future

But I need my cheek placement to be exact you know length of pull to be comfortable

I also have a nightforce on here

it's a two and a half to ten by forty two and I had a

Long-range riser mount 20 MOA that gives me a little extra

lobbing power

We will need it, it's only a ten power scope so I think that I should have probably put something bigger on here

But I don't have it and it's a 22 so I just feel like winging it a little bit

it's gonna do the job enough and

Hopefully I'll do the rest

Slightly intimidated by the prospect of this shot today. I definitely

cannot see the egg with the naked eyes I

Roughly sighted this on a stone yeah, I guess it was a little bit lazy

But i took a stone

Downrange and I shot at it. There's MOA notches instead of the middle of my scope

I have to aim at the bottom of those notches to get my target. That's how much I have to tilt my rifle upwards

So we got a rough sight in three hundred yards at an egg well. Let's give it a shot

This shot takes a lot of concentration and a lot of perfection

In the same spot just over it, so I'm gonna aim a little bit lower

I'm all around it so if it was a steel plate. It would be hit every time, but this is an egg

So infinitely smaller I think I might be crazy

Hmm, but I'm always up for a challenge, right

Can't really tell it moved, but I can't really tell whether I hit it or not it doing some of these funky

So let me give it another shot

I think I hit it no I I did hit it. I'm gonna have to check it out and make sure that it's broken

Because I don't know exactly what happened the egg is rolling

But that does not mean that I broke it in this scope

I can't really tell so let's go check it out. My gun is on safety

I'm putting it on my case on the ground. Don't worry. It's not in the dirt

Well the verdict is that the egg is simply teasing us I I don't know how that happened

I'm gonna have to look at the slow-mo later to see

Not hit. I mean either. I hit it and maybe it's not enough at

300 yards to actually smash it open

I don't really know I would think it would be but maybe I just nicked it or maybe I nicked the ground around it who

Knows, but I'm gonna give it another

Do not like this egg messing with me

So I'm going to really concentrate this time

Now whats kind of fun about this is that

the bullet actually takes about a half second to get down to target so it's a lot easier to watch not so easy to shoot

Up because it's definitely in two pieces. I just can't tell you know what's going on down there, so let's go look at it

Well that is split right down the middle it looks like a perfect poached egg for breakfast or a cup egg or something

I don't know the yolk is stuck in the inside

Gross I'm glad the wind is going that way oh

Yeah, that is not an easy shot 300 yards 22 long range rifle and

it took me a few shots, but guess what I show my misses here because

It's about perseverance. Yes, I could edit out all my misses

and then I could I don't know impress you and save some time or something like that, but I

Want you to realize that this is about perseverance shooting teaches that it's not just about making the shot

It's also about getting to that shot and that journey is just as much fun

So that is why I'm I don't know maybe some people think I'm crazy to show Misses and show my humanity

But honestly, that's the fun part sometimes I even handicap myself

Just so I can have that journey because what's the fun in making a shot every time eventually you're going to get bored
