Fundamentally Strong Petrochemical Stock Under 100 Rs. | CA Rachana Ranade - YouTube

Channel: CA Rachana Phadke Ranade

[8]
Hey folks!!! CA Rachana Ranade here and I welcome聽 you all to yet another informative video but why聽聽
[14]
am I making this video you know I done this video聽 which was about fundamentally strong stock under聽聽
[19]
a thousand and your response was really good then聽 I did another video which was about fundamentally聽聽
[24]
strong stocks under 500 and your response was like聽 amazing and then you know what did I think, yes I聽聽
[32]
thought about doing this video on fundamentally聽 strong stock under 100 rupees so you know my聽聽
[38]
expectation right so I would want everyone to聽 share this video with maximum friends hit that聽聽
[43]
like button oh my god I am getting this chance聽 to promote this right at the beginning but do聽聽
[47]
that and before I move on with the video I would聽 really like to thank Janvi and Akangsha for these聽聽
[53]
wonderful comments I am really happy to notice聽 that not only these girls are starting their own聽聽
[59]
investing journey but they are also helping others聽 to get started with their investment journey.聽
[68]
Let me tell you the name of the company which聽 we are going to discuss in this video the name聽聽
[72]
is TN Petro products limited Tamilnadu Petro聽 products limited, okay but the moment I use聽聽
[78]
the word Petro or petrochemicals many people聽 feel that maybe they are going to sell petrol,聽聽
[83]
diesel and something like that No that's not the聽 answer okay first we need to understand what do聽聽
[87]
we mean by petrol or petrochemical so just聽 for your understanding first understand the聽聽
[91]
definition petrochemicals are chemicals derived聽 from petroleum or natural gas so if I what to do,聽聽
[98]
a visual representation of that what are聽 petrochemicals these are chemicals which are聽聽
[102]
derived from what either petroleum or natural gas,聽 so from this what is derived various petrochemical聽聽
[107]
products like what? it could be something like聽 methanol or ethylene, it could be propylene,聽聽
[112]
butadiene, toluene, xylene, benzene, kerosene,聽 now why are we keeping this on screen? because聽聽
[121]
for TN Petro, benzene and kerosene are the most聽 important raw materials why how we are going to聽聽
[128]
discuss in the coming parts of the video, okay聽 now from these petrochemicals they again derive聽聽
[133]
few other petrochemical products like what? they聽 prepare LAD that is linear alkyl benzene, second聽聽
[139]
one is caustic soda, third is chlorine and fourth聽 one is propylene oxide I am sure those who have聽聽
[145]
learned chemistry and have left this subject long聽 back for them it's going to be like oh my god I am聽聽
[150]
revisiting these names after so many long years so聽 what we are going to do the four key products of聽聽
[155]
the company we are going to discuss in detail聽 basically we are going to try and understand聽聽
[159]
what is the use case of these products? where聽 or in which industries are these products used?聽聽
[168]
now let's try and understand the revenue聽 contribution by each of these products, so聽聽
[173]
if you see here out of these four products a major聽 revenue contribution is by LAB only right, but we聽聽
[179]
are also going to understand the use cases of all聽 these products in detail in the immediate in this聽聽
[184]
section only right one more point I would want聽 to make if you check the revenue by geographical聽聽
[189]
region you can see that there is no exports done聽 by the company whatever they are manufacturing聽聽
[193]
is being domestically consumed, right so聽 let's start with the first product that is LAD聽聽
[198]
linear alkyl benzene so first understand this聽 linear alkyl benzene is going to be used as a raw聽聽
[204]
material to make what LAS and what is LAS? linear聽 alkyl benzene sulfonate oh my god but that's okay聽聽
[213]
we need to understand what is the use case聽 of this LAS, okay LAS is used as a surfactant聽聽
[219]
in detergents and cleansing products you might聽 be like oh my god now what is this surfactant,聽聽
[225]
so surfactant in simple words is nothing but an聽 ingredient which is used in detergents to reduce聽聽
[231]
the tension between what so basically it's used to聽 reduce the surface tension surface tension of what聽聽
[237]
may be a solid and some liquid to reduce the聽 tension, right so that is what it is mainly聽聽
[246]
used for it can also be used to reduce聽 the surface tension between two liquids聽聽
[249]
a gas and a liquid and so on right in layman's聽 language I can say that to remove stains from聽聽
[256]
clothes LAS is required LAS is manufactured from聽 LAB and LAB is the product manufacture product of聽聽
[263]
this company simple okay now LAB also has some聽 significant commercial importance in what now you聽聽
[270]
can easily understand it is used in what laundry聽 liquids dish dishwashing liquids laundry powders聽聽
[275]
household cleansers and major demand comes from聽 what household detergent makers simple okay okay聽聽
[284]
what is it used for it is used also in cable聽 oils it is used for preparation of ink solvents聽聽
[290]
in emulsion polymerization process and so on okay聽 but main thing that you have to remember for LAB聽聽
[294]
what was that from LAB LAS is made ls is used as聽 a surfactant to remove stains right fantastic what聽聽
[302]
is the second product second product is caustic聽 soda okay caustic soda is also known as sodium聽聽
[307]
hydroxide now if you ask me what is the use case聽 of this caustic soda main use case is again that聽聽
[313]
it is used as a cleansing agent cleansing agent聽 for what to remove stubborn stains from laundry,聽聽
[319]
okay so if you remember stubborn stains means聽 what in advertisements you might have seen聽聽
[324]
zidi dag or miale that ziddhi dag is nothing but聽 what stubborn stains and how is it removed by聽聽
[329]
using caustic soda who makes that this company聽 makes caustic soda okay any other use cases?聽聽
[334]
YES caustic soda is also used to treat hard water聽 it also finds some use cases in industries such as聽聽
[340]
textile pulp and paper aluminum industry and so on聽 one more additional feature or I can say use case聽聽
[348]
of this is that it is also used in preparation聽 of soda lime now soda lime what is the important聽聽
[357]
characteristic? its characteristic is that聽 it can absorb gases including carbon dioxide,聽聽
[364]
so again one more time caustic soda is聽 used in preparation of what soda lime,聽聽
[368]
soda lime can absorb gases have you seen movies聽 like URI and you might have seen that whenever聽聽
[374]
some military operations are done they throw some聽 bombs or whatever and from that some hazardous聽聽
[378]
gases are released but still our army men are fit聽 and fine why? because the helmets that they wear聽聽
[384]
inside that these things like soda lime is聽 very much there which absorb the toxic gases聽聽
[391]
right ,so I hope you have also understood one more聽 use case of caustic soda, moving on to their third聽聽
[397]
product which is chlorine, chlorine everyone knows聽 it's used as a cleansing agent again I am sure聽聽
[401]
everyone knows it's used in swimming pools right聽 so out of the first four products of the company聽聽
[407]
first three are somewhere related to cleansing聽 only, right moving on to the fourth product it's聽聽
[412]
propylene oxide and propylene oxide is mainly聽 used for derivative products such as propylene聽聽
[419]
glycol and polyol, I am sure you might be like聽 Rachana is continuously looking at her screen but聽聽
[425]
these names are so heavy for me I have to look聽 at the names right so let's understand the use聽聽
[431]
case of propylene glycol, it's mainly used聽 in making foams now I am sitting on a chair聽聽
[436]
the chair has a foam, in your car seat you聽 have a foam, whenever you are going to some聽聽
[441]
indoor sporting game okay something like maybe聽 gymnastics or something like that there also on聽聽
[445]
the bar you will have a foam, all these foams聽 are used are prepared using what?propylene聽聽
[451]
glycol okay and the second one was polyol that聽 they are making and polyol is basically used聽聽
[458]
to again use case is like they are聽 used for making sugar-free sweeteners聽聽
[464]
you might have seen that I mean chewing gums or聽 candies beverages they are artificially sweetened聽聽
[471]
actual sugar is not put and artificial sweeteners聽 will contain something known as polyols,聽聽
[477]
my god too much things but I hope you have聽 understood or just have a look at all these聽聽
[481]
four products again and four products out of聽 these first three mainly used in cleansing聽聽
[485]
and fourth one was like propylene glycol and聽 polyol okay, now if I were to go back to the聽聽
[492]
main diagram that where we started in that if you聽 remember I said kerosene and benzene let it stay聽聽
[499]
on the screen why because they are the two major聽 raw materials for them now if you have a look at聽聽
[504]
this specific image you can see that out of the聽 total raw material cost consumed which is around聽聽
[511]
50,000 lakhs, then you can see that almost 78% of聽 the total raw material cost is contributed only聽聽
[520]
by kerosene and benzene now, if I were to compare聽 raw material cost as a percentage to sales also聽聽
[528]
raw material cost is almost 50% of the total sales聽 now why am I getting so excited/ worried ? because聽聽
[537]
kerosene and benzene is one of their key raw聽 materials for this company, kerosene benzene聽聽
[542]
is a petroleum product basically made out of聽 crude oil so now if the crude oil prices go聽聽
[547]
up then their raw material cost is going to go聽 up and which might hamper their profitability.聽
[555]
Now let's do a quick industry analysis of聽 their major product that was LAB and if you聽聽
[560]
remember almost 80% of the revenue was being聽 contributed by LAB right, so LAB I am sure聽聽
[566]
everyone can recall major application it, it聽 finds in what detergents and cleansers and all聽聽
[570]
that so major companies like HUL, Jyoti, LABs are聽 their customers are there clients right now if you聽聽
[577]
think about this what do you feel TN Petro is聽 a company which fits into the cyclical type of聽聽
[583]
industry/ or does it fit into a defensive type of聽 industry? the logical answer will be defensive why聽聽
[589]
because irrespective of the overall GDP growth,聽 cleanser sanitizers disinfectants all these are聽聽
[596]
anyways going to be manufactured and used in the聽 country and in current scenario I am sure everyone聽聽
[600]
will be like yes it is going to be used right, now聽 LAB the as far as the product is concerned we have聽聽
[606]
to understand how much is the total production聽 capacity of this product in India and who are the聽聽
[612]
major competitors or major players who manufacture聽 LAB so for that understand India's total capacity聽聽
[619]
of LAB production is 5,50,000 mtpa that's metric聽 ton per annum, now out of this Reliance industries聽聽
[628]
which is one of their key competitors manufactures聽 or has a capacity basically of 1,80,000 mtpa,聽聽
[635]
second one is IOC with a production capacity of聽 1,40,000 mtpa in fact they recently ramped it up聽聽
[642]
originally it was 1,20,000. now latest is聽 1,40,000 and now TN Petro where do they聽聽
[648]
stand they are currently at 1,20,000 mtpa,聽 but they have mentioned in their annual聽聽
[654]
report that they are planning to increase聽 it to 1,45,000 mtpa and once this happens聽聽
[660]
they will be like the second in the industry so聽 now if you check Reliance plus TN Petro plus IOC,聽聽
[668]
all three players together account for almost聽 80% production capacity of LAB so others聽聽
[674]
are just like scattered players now question is聽 do they have peers only in India? or are there any聽聽
[680]
other competitors outside India? as well answer is聽 YES so there are certain state-owned organizations聽聽
[686]
something somewhere in Yanbu Saudi聽 Arabia just to give as an example聽聽
[691]
they have a production capacity of 1,20, 000 mtpa聽 now why did I give this as an example only because聽聽
[697]
of course in Saudi Arabia crude oil, petroleum聽 products are abundantly available and that is the聽聽
[703]
reason why they might have a cost competitiveness聽 in simple words they might be able to manufacture聽聽
[710]
this product at a comparatively lower price and聽 this can be as a threat to Indian producers,聽聽
[716]
so I hope you have understood overall聽 scenario of LAB at the industry level.聽
[723]
So let's get started with the fundamental聽 analysis of TN Petro products limited,聽聽
[727]
if you see basic points market capitalization is聽 only 765 crores and that's why it is a small cap,聽聽
[734]
right if you check out some other important聽 points something like what is the book value聽聽
[738]
of the company book value is 83.2 omg聽 book value is 83.2 current price is 85聽聽
[744]
it means that it's trading at a price to聽 book value of around 1 but then in that case聽聽
[752]
what has been on an average price to book value?聽 so for that what we can do we can just go down and聽聽
[758]
here we can also check what is the price to book聽 value here if you can see there was a big surge聽聽
[763]
right here and then it has gone down it has it is聽 currently at one cup price to book value but what聽聽
[768]
is this median p2pv? it is somewhere around 0.7,聽 okay so if we may see that okay ideally median is聽聽
[776]
point seven it may go down till here but will it聽 go down for that? we need to do technical analysis聽聽
[780]
and we are going to do that in the next section of聽 the video, so moving ahead with the fundamentals聽聽
[784]
if you see our sales growth not bad at 57.7% last聽 three years CAGR at around 13.2% sales growth,聽聽
[791]
profit growth is also good and last three years聽 profit growth is also good so if you see here聽聽
[797]
they the company also has has good free cash聽 flows of 71.7 Cr. pledge percentage is zero,聽聽
[804]
healthy current ratio so all in all聽 if you see no problem till here right,聽聽
[808]
but here you can see the contingent liability for聽 the company is 98.8 Cr. now why am I stressing on聽聽
[815]
this contingent liability? I am going to take聽 you to the quarterly results of the company.聽聽
[819]
The latest net profit of the company is聽 25 Cr so even if I double that it's 50 Cr.聽聽
[826]
last quarter even if I ignore let's go to previous聽 quarter it's 48 crores right so 48 crores double聽聽
[833]
is almost 96 crores and the contingent liability聽 is 98 crores so that can be a little bit of聽聽
[839]
question mark so we can go into the little bit聽 details of the continent liability so this is the聽聽
[844]
screenshot from the annual report of the company聽 it's sales tax exercise duty etc., but important聽聽
[849]
out of this is this one this figure which is 61.3聽 Cr and this is something like a cross subsidy聽聽
[856]
charge under group captus scheme and whatever聽 even if you don't read into these details it's聽聽
[860]
okay but what does the company believe is given in聽 the last line this is expected to be disposed of聽聽
[867]
in the favor of power producers in simple words聽 company believes that the 61 crores contingent聽聽
[873]
liability ideally company will not have to pay so聽 that will be a good sign for the company in that聽聽
[878]
case right so moving ahead if I were to go to the聽 quarterly results all in all you can see that yes聽聽
[884]
their sales is increasing, just March quarter聽 was a shade lower as compared to the December聽聽
[889]
quarter but operating profit is doing good again聽 whatever problems you can see has happened in the聽聽
[896]
last quarter March quarter again you can see that聽 there is a dip in operating profit margin now why聽聽
[901]
could this be so if you remember crude oil crude聽 oil has been going up continuously and if you are聽聽
[907]
watching the latest news if you are following my聽 Thursday live streams also you must be aware of聽聽
[911]
the fact that crude oil prices have been going up聽 continuously because of which their profitability聽聽
[916]
might have seen an impact right, if you go on to聽 the yearly P&L, yearly P&L is good their sales is聽聽
[923]
at an all-time high, operating profit is also at聽 an all-time high and so is the profit before tax聽聽
[929]
compounded sales growth, profit growth we have聽 talked about ROE is also good, ROE is last three聽聽
[936]
years average is 21% , last year it is 26% but the聽 stock price has taken a hit of almost 23% in the聽聽
[943]
last one year but everyone knows what has happened聽 with the market in the last one year right聽聽
[948]
especially in the last three four months so that聽 is the reason why stock is corrected quite a bit,聽聽
[952]
reserves are good borrowings is very less, so in聽 simple words I can say debt to equity ratio is聽聽
[957]
also very much comfortable, their operating cash聽 flows are also good in positive and continuously聽聽
[963]
increasing, one or two question mark points can be聽 something like the cash conversion cycle which has聽聽
[968]
been continuously increasing since the last few聽 years and more cash conversion cycle is equal to聽聽
[974]
more and more cash is locked in their business聽 for a longer time in fact I also have a separate聽聽
[980]
video for this don't forget to watch this video聽 if you don't know what is a cash conversion cycle.聽聽
[984]
If I go to the shareholding pattern聽 you can see that yes FYIS have been聽聽
[988]
increasing their stake in fact if I am聽 checking June quarter versus march quarter聽聽
[992]
their holding has almost doubled and June聽 21/ march 21 DIS are almost at a similar聽聽
[1001]
pace so I hope all in all you are clear about聽 what are the fundamentals of this company.聽
[1009]
So first we are going to do the technical analysis聽 for on a weekly time frame and then we are going聽聽
[1013]
to go ahead with a monthly time frame technical聽 analysis now question is why not on a daily time聽聽
[1018]
frame? reason is simple I am sure everyone those聽 who are following markets you know that markets聽聽
[1022]
are really volatile right now on top of that聽 this stock is a small cap, so can it see huge聽聽
[1027]
volatility? YES so I am not looking at this stock聽 from a short term perspective I am looking at this聽聽
[1031]
stock from a medium to long term perspective聽 right, so with this in mind let's start with聽聽
[1035]
the technical analysis right so first if you聽 see I have drawn a FIBONACC level here and the聽聽
[1040]
retracement from its highs, highs is somewhere聽 around 150 rupees from there the retracement at聽聽
[1046]
50% comes to somewhere around 85.25 and if you聽 see here the stock is at this level right now聽聽
[1053]
and a nice hammer has been formed, so ideally聽 a hammer being formed shows a sign of reversal聽聽
[1059]
should this be the only sign which you should take聽 to initiate the trade? answer is NO but this is聽聽
[1063]
one of the signals of reversal right plus it is at聽 50 which is ideally considered as a solid support,聽聽
[1070]
if this is broken then the next support is at聽 61.8 replacement that is 69.65 at 70 rupees聽聽
[1077]
so please understand p2pv valuation the median p聽 was way too lower than this so this would be a lot聽聽
[1083]
more conservative p to b approach so technical聽 analysis if you ask me this level looks to be a聽聽
[1087]
good level if this is broken then 70 can be a good聽 level in the medium term what about long term now聽聽
[1093]
in the long term I try to zoom out and if you see聽 here I have drawn this line here which is about聽聽
[1098]
an original resistance but now acting as a聽 support how let's see this somewhere around聽聽
[1103]
17- 18 the stock tried to break this went down聽 came down then you can see something like a nice聽聽
[1109]
u-shaped pattern has been formed here and this聽 was broken and that too with good volumes this聽聽
[1115]
is like plain price action right so price goes聽 up with good volumes it went up and again it is聽聽
[1121]
re-testing the same level so ideally I can聽 say that this is a strong support from here,聽聽
[1126]
if it is re-testing there can be a potential聽 bounce from this level but this is on a聽聽
[1131]
monthly time frame so I hope you have understood聽 how the stock can look in the medium to long term.聽
[1137]
Well I hope you enjoyed this video but just聽 in case if you didn't understand the last聽聽
[1141]
section of the video which was about technical聽 analysis it means that you need to upgrade your聽聽
[1145]
knowledge about technical analysis so if you聽 want you can surely go and check out my course聽聽
