HOW I PAID MY FEES MYSELF WHILE STUDYING IN CANADA| FULLY EXPLAINED - YouTube
Channel: TRUE INDIAN AKSHIT
[1]
Hello everyone, how are you all doing today? I've brought a new video for you today.
[6]
So today's topic is our most requested video to date,
[10]
how did I paid聽my聽fees, which has received the most requests on my channel.
[15]
So I thought about making a video about it many聽times, but then I decided to make a complete detailed video explaining
[21]
how I had paid the fees for two semesters but collected the fees here for the next two semesters.
[27]
So in this video, I'll explain everything in detail; don't skip it
[32]
and first like this video and I'll set the aim to聽200 likes,
[37]
then watch the video; after this video, all your doubts will be cleared.
[41]
Many students wonder whether they聽can collect fees or not because
[45]
many parents cannot afford the fees and those students believe that we will come here and collect them,
[50]
thus in this video you will learn everything you can do. Whether you can or cannot collect fees, so watch the entire video, don't skip,
[55]
so let's get started with the video.
[64]
So initially, I'll talk about which intake I came in.
[68]
I came in January intake last year,
[71]
and as soon as I arrived, you all know that SDS (Student Direct Stream) had arrived,
[76]
and we had to come by paying the fees for two semesters according to it.
[80]
So, while I had previously submitted the payments for two聽semesters,
[83]
but聽the fees for the third and fourth semesters had to be collected here by myself.
[88]
I didn't want to get it from family members; I wanted to collect it myself, therefore I'll tell you how I did it.
[95]
As you may be aware, persons with January intake get jobs extremely late.
[100]
Because of the weather, companies are not hiring.
[105]
So, when I arrived in January, I got a job in April, and the first day of my job was April 1st.
[112]
So I was unemployed for three months in January, February, and March,
[117]
and I survived on my GIC, which pays $670 a month.
[123]
So you notice one thing: my expenses were also less, and this is really important.
[129]
The first item to consider is your rent;
[131]
if your rent聽is in the $300-350 range, you are already saving $150-200 dollars.
[136]
Because I have some friends who spend $500 and I pay $320,
[141]
there is already a $150-200 gap, which can add up to a $2,000 difference in a year, right?
[150]
So my rent is $300, and my presto is free because my college is nearby , and my job is within walking distance.
[158]
So $320 for rent, $100 for phone, making聽a total of $420, plus 150-200 $ for groceries,
[164]
making聽a total of about 600$ for the monthly expenditure, for which I used my GIC for three months.
[171]
After that, I got a job and worked for 5 months from April to August, saving $1100 and spending $650 from my GIC.
[185]
So, if I earn $1100 every month, I'll have $5500 in 5 months.
[191]
So I used my GIC to cover my monthly expenses and saved the money I earned from my job,
[197]
So I saved $5500, till August, while my two semesters were finished.
[203]
So let's continue the discussion, stay tuned with the video.
[206]
Now let's talk about what's next, I previously told you that I saved $5500 in 5 months from April to August,
[217]
and now let me tell you that there is a 14-day semester break here, as there was in my case in April, during which we can work full-time.
[227]
I'm going to tell you how we can get $500 extra as a result of this. So, during my semester break,
[236]
I worked full time for 14 days and saved another $500, bringing my total savings to from $5500 to $6000.
[241]
My semester concluded around the 15th-16th of August,
[247]
So I got another 14-day break during which I saved $500 more by working full-time,
[253]
bringing my total savings to $6500.
[257]
So, by removing all expenses, I was able to save $6500 in August by working 20 hours per week.
[266]
So, when it came to my third semester, I had the option of taking a break聽after the second semester.
[280]
So, if you want to know more about it, ask your college's programme coordinator,
[284]
and don't take a break without asking. We asked for a break so that聽no one would question our work permits or anything like that,
[290]
so my pals and I took a break, which is the main reason I was able to earn my fees.
[297]
I don't think I would haven't earned if I hadn't taken that break,
[300]
because I worked full-time for four months from September to December and was paid $2,000 per month.
[308]
So 2000$ every month for four months is 8000$, plus my prior 6500$ savings equals roughly 15000$,
[316]
and my semester costs were 7500$.
[321]
So by January, I'd amassed roughly $15,000,
[324]
of which I paid $7500 for the third semester and retained the rest.
[332]
After that, my GIC balance was exhausted.
[334]
So, starting in January, I spent 600-700 dollars on expenses and saved $300-400 from the $1100 I was earning, so that's how I saved聽money.
[348]
So that's how I earned and if we look on another scenario,
[353]
So, if someone is coming here or if someone is working here from the beginning,
[357]
For example, if I worked from January to August,
[362]
I would have earned 8000$ for 8 months,
[366]
which I would pay as my third semester fees,
[369]
and in the third semester, I would have worked for 4 months and earned $4000,
[372]
leaving me with $4000 more to collect.
[374]
It is quite tough to collect fees in student life if you are not working full time and only working 20 hours a week part time.
[382]
So I told you how I earned every single dollar
[385]
So my break was a main part in which I earned and paid my fees.
[392]
And if I hadn't taken that break, I wouldn't have been able to earn聽and would have had to ask my family for money.
[397]
So I told you about a different situation that what could have occurred if I had saved from January to August.
[401]
So that's all聽in the video; I paid the 15000 dollars that I had earned for the third semester, as well as the fees for the fourth semester.
[414]
So the $300-400 dollars I was earning in January was my savings because I had already collected the fees.
[422]
So that's it for today's video; I hope you like it and found it useful since I tried to explain everything to you,
[431]
and now I'd want to discuss something that in this. your monthly expenses are very important
[436]
because if your rent is $500 and your monthly expenses are over $900 ,
[443]
it will be difficult for you to save money,
[445]
causing your earnings to be low and you'll also be unable to save enough to pay your fees.
[453]
So that's it, if you have any queries, please ask them in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them. I'll also put my insta id聽in the description,
