"Til death do us part" is the general idea when two people get married, but some couples

prefer a hefty dose of alone time before they kick the bucket.

From his and her townhouses to playing parent on the weekends, these wedded celeb couples

are living totally separate lives.

Oscar-winner Julia Roberts and cinematographer Danny Moder have been riding the waves of

tabloid gossip about their relationship since their secretive wedding in 2002.

"It's always kind of nerve-wracking for me, because he's my husband and I want him to

think I'm awesome."

But the scuttlebutt reached a fever pitch in July 2018 because the couple supposedly

hadn't been spotted together in nine months!

And if you believe the rumors, according to In Touch, Roberts reportedly shelled out $3.9

million to give Moder his very own surf spot and convince him to stop leaving town for

surf trips.

The tab also claimed that a $6.84 million guest house across the street from their primary

pad has become Moder's "refuge" when there's trouble in paradise.

"Surfing is his girlfriend, and I am his wife.

And that seems to be working out."

But whatever arrangement these two have going, it's apparently working out just fine.

on the regular.

up with the Kardashians, what's even more interesting is that the two aren't appearing

in each other's off-camera lives, either.

And the alleged distance between Kardashian and West may just be growing.

In 2018, West abruptly announced that he was moving to Chicago and quote "never leaving

again."

According to People, a source claimed,

"Moving to Chicago would have to be, like, a long conversation, and honestly it might

be my breaking point."

With a baby due in May 2019, it sounds like these two might be having trouble keeping

up with each other.

Music icon Dolly Parton and her reclusive husband, Carl Dean, have weathered more than

a half century of marriage!

But the couple are rarely seen together, leaving the door wide open to all sorts of speculation.

"Well we've been married 48 years, we've been together about three of that."

Parton seems happy to play along with the rumors, claiming, via the Daily Mail,

When it comes to living separate lives, Parton says her husband rarely attends her performances.

She told Good Morning Britain,

Actor Bryan Greenberg and reality star Jamie Chung have been enjoying marital bliss since

In an interview with Us Weekly, the couple admitted that their crazy work schedules even

Though they've tied the knot, Greenberg and Chung still spend plenty of time doing their
