Boutons Sanwa pour stick arcade - YouTube

[0]
Hi Jackals, I'm JPK from the Jackals Crew
[2]
Today we will talk about arcade stick buttons
[4]
And how to change them on your favorite fightstick
[6]
Jingle !
[16]
In this video we will talk about Sanwa buttons
[19]
"Sanwa Denshi" from the Japanese company who is the worldwide leader
[23]
And THE reference in terms of arcade stick buttons
[25]
They are the same buttons that you can find
[28]
On most of the fightstick in the market
[30]
And also on the vast majority of the arcade cabinets of Old
[34]
Using Sanwa buttons makes your fightstick more premium
[39]
If you own an arcade stick like the Venom or the Mayflash F500
[43]
That are considered not as high-grade
than the so-called "premium" fightsticks
[47]
And that you want to upgrade your fightstick
[49]
I advise you to buy Sanwa buttons
[52]
If you already own a Mad Catz TE2+ fightstick
[57]
Or a Razer Panthera
[59]
Or a Qanba Obsidian
[61]
You already have pre-installed Sanwa buttons on your fightstick
[65]
But then, why should I bother changing ?
[69]
Simply because of customization !
[72]
Either color swap to match the buttons with the artwork
[77]
Or Sound, to be able to play at night without
[84]
Waking up your loved ones
[87]
Or simply change brands or models to have different
[92]
Specs than everybody else !
[94]
"Hey buddy, give me back my stick !"
[96]
"Oops, sorry I thought it was mine"
[99]
There's a lot of products in the Sanwa catalogue
but don't you worry
[103]
I will try my best to guide you to make a savvy choice !
[108]
OBSF-30
[110]
First of all, the basic Sanwa button
It is a snap-in button, we call it 30mm
[116]
Meaning it fits a 30mm-diameter hole
[119]
There's also a 24mm variant
[125]
The button is composed of three easily separable parts
[129]
The "Plunger", the "Rim"
and the "Microswitch"
[133]
You guessed it, it will be possible for you to
mix and match the plungers and the rims
[137]
In order to make a unique color combinaison
[140]
OBSFS-30
[142]
Same button as its older brother OBSF-30
but this one is called "silent"
[148]
At least, quieter than the OBSF-30
[151]
The technology behind this quietness is simply due to a foam pad
[155]
Inside the button that damps the sound of it when pressed
[158]
It removes the plastic-smashing-plastic sound !
[163]
However the purists would say that
with this foam pad it shortens the throw
[175]
The OBSFE-30 button is the latest entry in the Sanwa catalogue
[180]
It's the second generation of "Silent" button
[182]
Bye bye foam pad !
And hello to the plunger 2.0 made in Sanwa !
[186]
The plunger is now broken down into two parts :
[189]
The first part in contact with the fingers
is convex and in a ferm plastic
[192]
While the second part of the plunger
that we can't see is in a softer matter
[197]
With this system the throw remains the same as the base OBSF button
[202]
As for the sound emission, it is not as quiet as the OBSFS
[207]
The main flaw of this OBSFE button is its limited color offerings
[211]
Only 4 colors exist for this model
[215]
OBSJ reference is composed of Metallic Gold
[220]
Metallic Silver
[221]
Gun Metal
[222]
Metallic Blue
[223]
Metallic Red
[225]
and Metallic Pink buttons
[226]
The metallic aspect of the buttons is appreciable,
but its main flaw is its price
[231]
That is much higher than the other buttons' !
[233]
Note that the metallic layer does wash out with time
[237]
And use, revealing the white undercoat
where you smash the button
[242]
Furthermore, the tabs on this range are
even more fragile than on the others
[246]
The OBSC-30 buttons are the transparent buttons
[251]
They are the ones you need if you want
to install LED backlighting on your arcade stick
[256]
They are available in several colors
[259]
You will be able to install an artwork on each individual plunger
[264]
As for the flaws, the sound of these buttons is
even more plasticky
[268]
Due to how the plunger is mounted
[270]
And like all the snap-in models,
a hateful tendency to have tabs that
[276]
Easily break when you are try to remove them
[286]
Now if we want to achieve LED backlighting only on the rim
[292]
As opposed to the whole button,
we can pick the OBSF-CR-30
[298]
The rim is transparent and colorless while we can
choose the plunger amongst the 13 colors available
[304]
And last but not least the OBSN buttons
which are the screw-in buttons and not snap-in buttons !
[309]
Made for thicker panels,
they can also be mounted easily on most
[315]
Steel panels of market fightsticks
[316]
If you are the kind of person who likes to swap
regularly the buttons whenever you feel like it
[320]
This is THE solution for you !
[322]
However, on some fightsticks like the Qanba Obsidian
you may encounter not enough space
[328]
For the nut to screw the button properly
[331]
Especially on the top row
or the bottom-left button
[334]
Because of the steel mounting plate for the joystick
[344]
Regardless of the Sanwa button you choose
[348]
You'll end up with the Sanwa SW-68 microswitch inside
which will activate at the slightest of touch
[354]
Sanwa guarantees it will work for a million cycles
[357]
So you can be assured to have a long-lasting product
[362]
Note that a new microswitch exists: the SW-68-CAU
sold with its adapter wires
[369]
Which shares the same specifications than its illustrious predecessor
but does have the advantage
[373]
To have a lower blockage than its older brother
[376]
This is useful to the people who want to
build a thinner arcade stick for themselves
[381]
Without resolving to bend the 2.8mm terminals
of the base Sanwa button microswitch
[388]
Now "Colors"
[389]
There are 13 colors for the classic OBSF range :
[393]
"White"
[394]
"Pink"
[395]
"Violet"
which is more pink than purple
[400]
"Midnight Blue"
[401]
"Royal Blue"
[402]
"Sky Blue"
[403]
"Green"
[405]
"Yellow"
[406]
"Orange"
[407]
"Vermillon", between Red and Orange
[410]
"Red"
[411]
"Black"
[412]
And "Dark Hai"
[414]
With these 13 colors
you can easily match
[418]
Your buttons to your artwork or
to the theme of your arcade stick
[422]
Like the yellow and white for Vegeta
[424]
The Metallic Silver for Ultra Instinct Goku
[430]
Transparent red and transparent blue for Akuma
[436]
Or the transparent Smoke (LED backlit) in 24mm and 30mm
for this Hitbox Cyberpunk version
[444]
You understand now that an arcade stick is not a mere
controller that allows us to play our favorite games
[449]
It is also the mirror of our own personality,
our taste and own preference,
[454]
Or the image of our lastest passions
[456]
It can also become a collector's item that
we will put on display
[462]
Bringing out our arcade stick should always
bring us joy and pride
